In my personal experience the problem is getting better. So far I've only had one zombie clip through a hangar door. I managed to lock two zombies inside a police station, when I came back half an hour later they were still inside. Haven't been hit through walls so far, but still get hit when a zombie makes an attack even though I moved behind him. Haven't seen any invisible zombies. -
Aye, that would be nice indeed. Or at least rename the item to 'Written Note' or something.

After a post-update session, playing 0.49, I logged out, then returned some time later, only to find out the server I was on was running the 0.48 version. Every item added in the update that I possessed (telescopic baton, cattle prod, balaclava) was missing from the inventory. When I returned to a 0.49 server, the new gear was still missing. Is 0.48 supposed to still be active after you've updated your game version?

wow, just wow. the reason I gave up men years ago. my father must have been the last gentleman because there is a distinct lack around here. Thank you for generalizing, I'll be sure to tell everyone at the next Every Guy In The World Except Elle's Dad Apparently meeting that we can cross you off our list. Also, we must have unwittingly discovered a portal in the space-time continuum, using a topic from present day to turn you off men several years in the past.

1. Seems to be the case. Even in places that are generally left untouched, random doors are open. I went to a police station, the outer doors were closed but several doors inside were opened, and not the 'good loot' rooms. 2. I found an Amphibia mag, but it had the usual 10 rounds in it. Haven't found any other mags so far. 3. Haven't reached any bases yet.

Saw this today. Someone firing in the air in Novo, I suppose to flush out any survivors. I followed him through binoculars, it didn't take long for a sniper to pick him off. -

I like it! It kind of captures my first days in Chernarus. Only my story ended with a bullet in my brain... I like the absence of dramatic music, it brings the atmosphere of the game into the film. If you close your eyes it actually kind of sounds like actual DayZ. Especially the gunshots. Any chance we may ever see a more worked-out film? -

I haven't known of a clean wipe since I started playing a few months ago. However, there IS an actual wipe coming with the next update (which is tomorrow I think?), so enjoy your character while you still can!

Don't forget you can always check the pings and desync of the people on the server. If you see too many laggers, just change servers. I tried playing with an Aussie friend but it was just too ridiculous. One second he'd be 20 yards behind me, then suddenly he pops up 10 yards in front of me. He axed a zombie in the head and the thing kept running for 5 seconds before dying...

Cities would still hold tons of usable loot. Most big cities have industrial/mercantile areas which house stores, factories, warehouses, distribution centers, etc. If ever there was a real zombie apocalypse, I would probably try to set up base at my workplace, which is a condiment production facility. Literally tons of ingredients and finished products with a lifespan of several years, a huge underground water storage tank, plus a 1000 m³ maintenance facility with just about every kind of tool and durable clothing you would need. Plus I could skewer zombies on my forklift... Oh can we please have functioning forklifts in the finished game?

That is true, but everyone has that 'ability' in 3PP servers. It's not realistic in the least, but not at all different from other games played in 3PP. Hardcore servers eliminate the advantage for everyone, Regular servers allow everyone to use it. You can't really expect people in 3PP mode to give up on an ability because a few do not like it. It may sound unfriendly, but if people don't want 3PP advantages used against them, they can go play on a Hardcore server. -
I got killed by a hacker for the first time in 350+ hours last weekend. Seems too obvious for a coincidence, ne?

Telescopic batons, when functioning properly, should be great for breaking limbs. I should know, I speak from experience -_-
