    Make doors always open away from you

    Well I do get annoyed at outward opening doors, I mean, who the hells still uses those? But doors should only open in one fixed direction unless they are specially designed to go both ways. Situatinal awareness is a lifesaver.

    Loot smarter, not harder! I quite like this new way of doing things without a ghost double of your weapon in your pack. If it's in your hands, it should not take up slots in your inventory, not even imaginary reserved slots. And if you have problems holding on to your guns for such reasons, then perhaps you bit off a little more than you can chew by going to Chernarus, eh!

    Trophy Body Part Collection

    Even though I initially thought "What the hell?" I must say this idea is starting to grow on me. Rather than forcing a morality system to differentiate between heroes, neutrals and bandits, this would allow people to show their true colors of their own volition. Some people would display their brutality, others would try to hide it. Makes meeting people a bit more interesting. As for other post-mortem brutality, why not? I for one would be goddamn paranoid if I came across a couple heads staked on a fence.
  6. Aye. For me .57 is one of the better builds I've played but aside from the still too easy survival part, a disappointment is the lack of zombies.

    Zombies clipping through walls?

    Ah yes, well, the police station seems to be a special case for some reason. Used to be the zombies could hit you from street level even if you were on the roof. That building may actually be bugged. But in most other buildings, locking zombies in or out should work. I tried it myself yesterday, managed to lock two zeds in a piano house and another in a basic wooden civilian house.

    Zombies clipping through walls?

    Probably more desync than actual wall glitch bugs. If you slam a door shut in a zombie's face, chances are the server will not register the door as being closed as the zombie passes through, making it look like it is phasing through solid doors. Try putting some distance between you and a zombie, about 100 yards or so, and try locking yourself in a house. If all goes well it should not glitch through the door.

    Yup. Went to Cherno on a private server with about 20 people on it, the place was deserted save for a few isolated creepers. The server restarted, and Cherno was full of zeds once more.

    I kinda like the explosion of clothing everywhere. Clothing should be fairly easy to obtain in the apocalypse.

    Still time-consuming if you want to pick more than just the minimum to stay alive. I hope that as time progresses, the dangers from zombies and the environment will be great enough that spending five minutes picking apples becomes a risky endeavour, and having a second pair of hands will speed up the process greatly.

    Well, I wouldn't make them requirements, but picking apples by your lonesome would go a lot slower than shaking a tree with a buddy. So give a small bonus for teamwork, but do not punish the loners.

    The End Game

    Nothing. The game should just give you bunch of options for things to do, and then you do them or you don't do them. Complete sandbox experience. But the only objective, the only goal, the only mission of the game should be "Stay alive".

    2 problems I have in the game

    It happens, the inventory system, like many other aspects of the game, is a work in progress. Invisible fruit is a bug, but I see it as a blessing in disguise, because it means that the people looting before you might not find it, which means you get some food as well.

    So substitute a gun shot with an axe to the back of the head. Buddies won't hear it, but they'll still know what happened. Advantage gained.

  18. But they are crybaby reviews. It's the exact same nonsense they come spewing here on the reg. It's all the mantras. "More than two years in alpha", "Zombie wallhax", "The developers don't care about us", "There is zero progress and improvement" and my personal favorite "Dean Hall is in Tahiti, rubbing his nipples with your money". Stop calling it an investment, you're not Warren Buffett. Many complainers bought a game without knowing anything about it because they saw some "YouTube personality" playing with his buddies having big ol' fights at the airfield, and now they're pissed off because the developers aren't making it the way they mistakenly think it should be. Which is sad for people with legitimate complaints, really, because they get lumped in with the rest of 'em.

  20. What are you talking about? DayZ is one of the few survival horror games with very positive overall reviews on Steam. Even if a bunch of them are just joke reviews, they offset the deliberately negative crybaby reviews.

    I don't mind the change. It'll take some getting used to, but that's the game innit? Adapt or perish!

    Piano houses, pick-up trucks, log taverns, Novo city hall, all good places to find Mosins.

    How was your Day(Z)?

    Went to Novo, the place was crawling with zeds so I went to the big tower for some ironsight target practice. Getting pretty good with a Repeater!
