Eh, you'd be surprised. My first battles with the AKM were... disappointing. With the heavy recoil spray and pray is not a good tactic, and many people with assault rifles gravely overestimate their skills with it. As a result, I got killed often by Mosin wielders. Likewise, I've killed my share of trigger-happy tacticool bandit wannabes, using only civilian weapons. My current combo is Mosin, sawn-off, Magnum and derringer. They have fairly abundant ammo, there is no need to find magazines, even though speedloaders and Mosin clips are excellent finds, they are hardly a necessity. No need to risk my ass going to battle zones to find a weapon that really is only as good as the one wielding it.

I'm having great fun running the small towns that nobody really goes to. Many times I spawned near Solnichniy or Kamyshovo, and found nothing useful after scavenging every nook and cranny. I do the effort of going to Tulga, Dolina or Orlovets, and I have all the loot in the town ready to be picked. On one trip to Dolina I found more food and drink than I could carry, proper clothing, a drybag, a shotgun with ammo and a hacksaw to chop it down with, a Mosin (sadly no ammo there) and my beloved aviators! Even on high pop servers, many towns are consistently ignored because of their apparent unattractiveness. But that in itself is an attractive quality to me, since I gain much from risking little. And even guns are not that hard to find there, as the adorably named 'Grandma's House' can be found in most small towns. And we all know grandma loves packing some heat!

Well, while it would be a handy tool, one of the reasons I enjoy the SA is the very minimal UID. Seeing an FPS counter would annoy me immensely. For me the principle is, if you want to see your FPS in-game, do the minimal effort of getting an external program.

As someone who has spent some time on the wrong side of a locked jail coor, I can assure you, these things cannot be opened without keys or some form of explosive. Even kicking at the lock or hinges for hours on end doesn't budge them at all. Remember these things are designed to keep people inside who have nothing but time on their hands.

People should never get punished for getting the drop on you, which is what this killcam will accomplish.

That's my current hardcore mode loadout. Though mine's topped off with two derringers, which are surprisingly accurate even at some distance.

It's not what's in your arsenal, but how good you are with it. I've seen guys with shotguns tear up fully geared M4 users like it was no thang.

No... you can check whether they are warm to the touch, or cold to the touch.

Try eating them. If the flesh is still warm, there might be a deranged killer on the loose.

I like the idea of taking existing buildings and fortifying them with sandbags and planks. But that's about it.
