Found a lot around police stations on the south coast yesterday. Maybe they are rarer in the north compare to other types of bullet since the patch to make us try the new guns? I'm on my way to North on hardcore ; maybe I'll find a difference

Ak101 are using M4 bullets intead of SKS bullets. So for me and my friend, one having AK101 and the other having a AKM allows us to easy split bullets loot. I find the AK101 to be more precise imo

I think sniping and KOS are being mixed up in this thread. Sniping is a tactical choice and are necessary when playing in group. And when playing alone, I prefer Mosin with LRS to be able to spot threats from far away (eitherzombies or people) And, to be a real man, you only need a Y chromosome! :P

Successful troll is successful... I guess I won't comment again after this. This forum isn't biased or censored. It's just not the place for BattleEye complaints. Might be why we don't see your kind that often ; other people must be inquiring directly with BattleEye And, with the kind of time I pass on Dayz and medias related to Dayz ; if I can't see rampage, I'm just gonna assume there's no rampage. I might as well go as far to think that you present your problem as generalized to disculpate yourself from any responsibility. -

Is there an army of people being banned for no reason? The answer is no. At the moment, I only see you claiming being banned for no reason. Without commenting about your specific problem, I think "rampage" is a bit of an overstatement. BTW, I saw in other games that third parties remapping your keyboard was considered hacking. What I'm saying is that any other software impacting the rendering of the game can possibly be considered as hacking. And like any kind of law in real life, you can't claim ignorance : not being aware of a law can't protect you against the consequences of breaking that law. -

The parameter in configuration is on your pc rendering. To put off shadows do not make yourself immaterial ; you just don't render shadows on your client so YOU can't see them. I will still see your shadow if m y configuration has shadows on...

I don't know if this was ever suggested ; I tried to find a topic without success. Would it be possible to have some kind of feedback about where i'm shoot at? For example, some text in bottom of the screen : "I'm being shot in the back", "My rigth side is hurting" Or some graphic info, like red line on the right screen if my char is shot at his right. I've never been shot at, but I suppose you can distinguish, even with your eyes closed, that the bullet entry is in your back or sides.

Instead of being that condescendant, you can always debate in a civil manner. Your opinion is not THE opinion. I don't get why every debates on the internet go sour... I agree that material being crushed absorb some of the impact and some material as styrofoam, but not all and certainly not enough to protect from concussion 100% of the time. Agreed that it offers some protection against concussion, but the main task of those helmet is to protect your skull. And military helmets offer no where that kind of protection btw. No hard feelings and I'll be happy to continue debate with you. In conclusion, I think it's impossible for helmet to offer 100% protection against concussion. That's why it should take around 2-4 punches instead to one punch to KO a player with a motor cycle helmet (again military ones aren't the same kind of helmet and won't protect as much against Gs.

He's totally right. Unconsciousness comes from concussion. And concussion is shock applied to your brain that is being shaken in your skull. Unless the helmet is made of some kind of material that absorbs force applied. Physics laws say that the brain will still receive the final force of impact. The helmet prevents that your skull is being fractured. Look at amateur boxing : they all wear helmet. Nobody get a nose bleed but there still plenty of KOs

I totally agree with your point of view. I surely don't want a precise input of where the guys shooting me is. He can have multiple angles to hit me in the back. But the general area where you are being hit can give you the idea where you should go for cover before fighting back.

I'm not arguing for the sake of arguing. But, in case where you can't see the enemy (a well hidden sniper, pitch dark night), precise pain feedback is jsut another stimuli that can help figure the situation and help making a better decision. The nature gave us a nervous system to help us locate pain/injury we don't/can't see. I don't find my suggestion that out-of-place for a game that relies quite a bit on "simulation"

In your post you should mention you are suggesting things for hardcore. I do think hardcore needs something that lets you know where you got shot, where as in regular you have your magic 3DP camera following you around at all times so you can see shit happening way better. And yes, you are right, not every has a nice head set, I don't. $15 at Wal-Mart for my mic and 2 speakers that came with the office PC my dad bought. Yet I still out shoot and out live anyone I play with and most that I play against. You don't need a good computer or good accessories to be good at a game so don't say not having something puts you at a disadvantage. And yeah, I'm sorry for being a prick. It tends to happen when you see suggestions like this all day every day. Nothing personal :P Thx for the example. In fact, I would find a implementation like your screenshot too invasive for Dayz playstyle. I don't have THE idea for the solution, just expressed a feature I would find usefull. And yeah, I'm not complaining on my fate or inability ti play ; I had the idea while I was killing someone, call that empathy if you want :P My current char have live for several hours and survived his share of encounter, in squad or alone, so yeah, you're right saying it'S not mendatory to survive. No hard feeling! I sensed the built-up in you from previous topics ;)

Srry, don't know your COD reference. I don't play shooters in general. I'm just suggesting some kind of feedback that would replicate the info that gives me my nervous system. Not every one has a 7.1 surround headset, so sound feedback can be misleading. While I always play in first person, I can't see easily where the blood come from Again, I suggest something to complete the simulation in terms of feedback. Sound = ear feedback Blood dropping = sight feedback How can I replicate my nervous sytem feedback, where the pain come from? PS: Not being precious, but no need to being condescendant with your comments. I'm quite knew in the forum, I'm not responsible for your previous debates

Well actually, I got that idea while shooting someone in the back yesterday (I was avenging my friend who had been killed) I shot him in the back with my moslin one time, he survived, froze, walked again and I killed him for good. I thought that it must have been frustrating for him to not know where that came from, because if he knew, he could have killed me with his SKS just by turning around. edit: grammar again, i have to reread myself before posting!
