    Disconnecting to avoid death

I don't think there's any way the game will be able to differentiate between someone pressing ALT+F4 and their internet going down. Actually it's probably possible, when you hit alt-f4 you can see that the screen shows 'Shutdown...' (at least when you're stuck in an infinite loading). It shouldn't be very hard to implement a system that checks if the person exited the game or if the client was disconnected because no more data was being sent. If mIRC can separate the two, I'm thinking a modern game can too.

    FN FAL ANPV S4

They only spawn at crash sites. And on fresh corpses if you get lucky.

    Is Balota usually camped?

Depends on how many people are logged on your server and how lucky/unlucky you are.
  4. Yep you need an Operation Arrowhead key, that's why you can play with ArmA 2 free. It's a bit complicated to get it to run but just google it and you should find a guide.
  5. Your character and progression are tied to your cd-key, so no. Just tell him to buy OA and get ArmA 2 free.

    Editing Arma CD Key

You would have to find some way to convert your key into hex. Easier said than done. BUT, there is another way to do this: Just go to your registry, look for your key and rename that to something like key2 and just leave it there. The key should be in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2 OA (at least for the non steam version) Reinstall Operation Arrowhead with the key that wasn't in use. This will create a new registry entry with that new key. You should then have KEY and KEY2 in your OA registry. When you want to play with one key or the other, just rename whichever one you are going to use to "KEY" and the other to something else and it will work. PS : Forgot to mention, if the game doesn't launch after doing this, reinstall the 1.60 patch. It will just validate the files and won't take very long.
