I have no idea why intelligent discussion regarding a matter that affects everyone is being shut down on this forum. If BE is a legitimate company that employs proper secure practices they should have no problem answering any concerns with their software. People are shrugging this off as if it doesn't matter but what they don't seem to realise is BE has the same power over their machine as someone sitting at their keyboard logged in as an administrator. The potential for abuse here is catastrophic.

BE can download and execute code remotely5. BE can hook applications and inject code into them6. BE can protect processes preventing transparency into what it is doing7. BE protects itself to prevent it being reverse engineered to give transparency into what it is doing8. BEdaisy.sys is a kernel driver9. BE's architecture functions the same way as a botnet command & control system But please, do me the courtesy of providing a technical answer explaining how despite all of this "BE is not a rootkit". BE's functionality makes it a rootkit by the textbook definition of the word.

Building looks good. Must admit I like the idea of civilian airfields as well.

If they fixed duping then why do you need to wipe characters? It can't be duped anyway. Anyone fighting with hacked mags will die eventually and the mags would go with them.

Same. Its the update, not your pc/connection. I just checked the feedback tracker and it has been reported. Hope they fix it soon!

Suffering from this as well. Windows 7 64bit. I get the no msg received message then try to exit the current server to return to the main menu and DayZ client stops responding. I have to kill it in task manager and re open from steam. Doing my head in!

SIlent zombies is the only thing that might actually be worse than the current unable to attack bug.

I find these random SFX frustrating as well and look forward to when they're removed. Till then you just have to learn which sounds are random sfx and tune them out.

The 99 second log in timer is poorly implemented at present. It kicks in far to often. At the moment I can't log out and back into the SAME server without waiting 99seconds+'please wait' time which is stupid. Logging in and out of the SAME server does not allow you to ghost or server hop. Let me go to the bathroom or recover from a DayZ gameclient crash without fearing my characters life! Does anyone know the answer to these questions: 1. Is my character standing undefended during the 99 second log in timer, as is the case with the 30 second log out timer? 2. How long does one have to be logged out before you can log in again without hitting the login timer?

From the perspective of someone with years of MMO experience this just isn't true. MMO's have the most insanely rare loot and it removes all fun from the game. Players become fueled by an addiction where their sole reason for playing is to find their precious and once they do they loose purpose and quit. The fact that unlike MMO's gear does not persist through death in DayZ will make this much worse. If you haven't played a game that has really rare (and by really rare I mean spending hours a day, everyday, for months of your life camping a boss to ensure you are the ONLY person to kill it to get the 0.01% chance the loot might drop) then you don't understand. Enjoyment comes using good gear. It doesn't come from living in fear of loosing something you worked so hard for and will never have again. The negative psychological impact this change could cause is huge.

Bump for feeling your pain this bug happened to me today. I reloaded my 75rnd without having enough space in my inventory (like OP) and the 75rnd disappeared. I waited around for the item to show and then scoured the area but it never did :(
