So, from this thread and others, hear are some suggestions to improve the game: - cant find food: well let's make it so your toon doesn't need food or drink - I get cold when it rains: let's remove the rain - I can't find anyone to shoot...I mean interact with: let's make the map smaller, maybe just one town - cant find guns or high end loot: well, lets start with every new spawn having full gorka, m4 and mags Oh wait, I have just created this awesome game called COD, now piss of and play that -

I didn't even realize there was a 3rd person camera for the first 200h I played...once I did it explained a lot of things...how that player knew where I was -
Pardon my French...but fuck the lag, I want ZOMBIES!!! I want them now!!! Having no zombies and having PvE so easy, all that is left is circle jerk PvP. I would prefer ther server running at 5fps with zombies then have 20+fps with no zombies...

As far as I understand, they removed the PSO-1 from the loot tables when they introduced the SVD and the only place you can find them is on the actual rifle. Also, the PSO-1 has been calibrated for the SVD (and possible the VSS) only, and wont give accurate shots (specifically the range) on the AK series assault rifles.

Has anyone found any tents since the patch? Checked the tenement/apartment building (5 story) in Berizhino and Novo and didnt find a single tent....one would think the Devs fix for camp lag was no tents :P

Secret .58 zombie destroys my game

There are at least 2 zombies at Novo, in the industrial area to the east on the road to Svet. I have had this (graphic glotches) happen numerous times in other parts of the map where no zombies are around...unless they are invisible!! -
Exactly the same has happened to me. Not sure what the cause is (i think it may be to do with memory leak, the game slows right down but doesnt crash) but it passes after a while (30 secs to 5 minutes sometimes). I find it helps if you close the game and restart sometimes....

Based on the fact you found an AUG, with a NATO silencer attached and two mags (importantly, one that was empty) leads me to believe a player dropped it. Guns don't spawn with attachments and clips always spawn full (at least AFAIK)

No, because I don't server hop... You may be changing from public to private, or 3rd person to 1st person or vice versa... -
Just found a lootsplosion on AU01 at the Officers hut at Mishy tents...2 x M4's, 2 x UMP45's, about 15 x 20 and 30 round 5.56 mags (all empty..), FNX and mags, combat knives, ammo, high cap and assault vests, boots....

I like the idea...for a mod of vanilla DayZ. It just seems to much like an endgame, whereas DayZ seems to be a game with no end, other then death.

Same happened to me before the restart. Barrel got stuck in my hands so re logged...unknown game version. Just tried 10 minutes after restart, same...verified game cache, restarted steam, restarted the PC, restarted DayZ...unknown game version. All the 20 odd exp servers I could see, only one had one player...tried to join...unknown game version...

To repair a tyre you need to: Remove the tyre from the truck PLace it on the ground Put the tyre repair kit in your hands Look at the tyre and use scroll wheel Select Repair Tyre It will only work on tyres that have been damaged (worn, damaged or badly damaged), it wont work on ruined tyres

I will check when I get back to camp. My thoughts are that it is only food and water...when my mate grabbed his gear he was fine, we had feed him all his food and water whilst he was unconscious. I have stashed all my stuff away from camp, didn't want the infection to spread. I have food and water that I had whilst I was infected, so I will check each item and drink and eat until I get the infection again...for SCIENCES BITCHES!!!

The thing is I didn't use a sewing kit to stich my wounds, I didn't have any wounds at all. I got infected wounds from drinking from a water bottle my mate had when he had infected wounds. The second time I got it was from eating food I had whilst I had infected wounds... Therefore, infected wounds are contagious. Heading back to camp with disinfectant and finally found alcohol tincture. Will disinfect all my gear I was carrying and, if I do get infected wounds again I have the tincture to help

So, infected wounds are now contagious... A mate accidentally stitched his wounds with a sewing kit and his wounds got infected. Spent ages looking for alcohol tincture with no luck. Tried vitamins, charcoal tabs, antibiotics, eating and drinking until you vomit..nothing worked and he died unfortunately.we grabbed his stuff of his body and took it back to camp, grabbed the truck and went and picked him up. He got his gear back and everything was fine. So today, I needed a drink and grabbed a bottle from camp...bam...get the message my wounds are infected. Hadn't been shot since the night before and had played for maybe 5 hours since then with no issues. Realised the water bottle was one of my mates that he had left before we went searching for tincture. So, same thing again, dropped all my gear at camp and went searching for tincture...tried everything and eventually got the green message, my wounds have healed, thought awesome, grabbed my gear and about 2 minutes later I start getting the message my wounds are infected...took the cowards way out and committed suicide. Not sure what gave it to me the second time, but I did eat some spare food I had scrounged while looking for the tincture after I had got better...going to respawn and see if my gear is contaminated...

We just had some fireplaces disappear...been there since Thursday, so we thought it was a timed clean up...went to build a new fireplace and it disappeared as well. Tested item clean up (with a piece of paper) and that lasted maybe 10secs.. Not sure if the item cleanup is working as intended, bit worried as this happened at my camp...

By rebooting the server you get fresh heli crashes, which is where the M4 spawns (if it does). I have seen AUGs on Exp but not M4s...

Can confirm a persistence wipe...my two civ tents, fireplace, backpacks, two trucks, car tent, spare guns and backpacks all gone... The sad thing is I had my truck battery and glow plug stashed in a fireplace under a tree a fair way from the camp...gone as well. Oh well, the search continues!! xD

Pay 2 win (or DLC as stated here) is a big no no for DayZ.

Can't find the quote from one of the devs (it was in a status report iirc) but they are looking at three methods of cooking: roasting, boiling and drying. You can already add water to a cooking pot (it is non-functional at the moment) so the mechanism is there for boiling and we already roast meat on the fire. Not sure how drying will work but it will probably be in the furnace as the devs stated that fireplaces were pretty much final product now.

Are you using purified water/water from a well or just pond/stream water? I grow all my plants with purified/well water and they grow with no disease (so far at least!!) -
