Kill logs will be available to admins soon IIRC, this will lead to a lot of bans (as long as you have video evidence as well)

MP5-K's have been spawning without the buttstock for a number of patches, at least since 0.49 IIRC. I have not seen a buttstock since then...not sure why it is out of the game...

From what I understand the devs are looking at 5000 infected/Z's over the entire map at full release...I can't wait!!

Jerry cans can be filled up from gas stations and other Jerry cans. You fill up the truck by using the action button on the fuel tank below the passengers door with the Jerry can in your hand. To get into a truck with a Jerry can, you need to/ - pick Jerry can up in your hands - push the cross (in your inventory screen) to place it on the ground - put your gun on the ground, the Jerry can should appear in the top of your inventory with your hat, gloves etc - place your gun on your back - enter the truck without doing anything else Once you put a weapon in your hand, eat etc you will have to do it again.

Picked up a couple of suppressors. NATO suppressor works on m4 and AUG, east suppressor works on ak101 and I assume other ak series (not sure about 74u though). Neither worked on a cr75 pistol however...from what I understand there is a pistol suppressor and an mp5 compensator...

Anyone having trouble gutting animals? Or fires "disappearing"?

I was sitting by the fire when it happened...it just diassapeared. They may have included this to have the fire with an actual lifespan, as previously I had a character for about a week hunting and living of the same fire without having to add new logs etc.... -
I did have my weapon in my hand while sitting by the fire, however was havin a BBQ with mates later at Toe Town and no one got hot from being around the fire with no guns out. Sorted the issue by committing suicide and respawning close to where I died to get my gear. No problems with the shakes at the moment....

Gutted a pig with no issues.... Had the fire dissapear on me though....it had been burning for a while...trying to get rid of the shake glitch... -
Nope, not cold either. Had the same thing happen, sat by a fire for 10 min cooking boar steaks, no change. As far as I can tell fires are not warming you up at all, they are not drying you clothes either... Not sure if its a bug or what...

Are Blackhawks still spawning after maintanance? Since servers have come back up I haven't found any Blackhawk crash sites, only Russian ones. Anyone found a Blackhawk since maintanance?

Totally agree on the different tiers of arrows and bows, though I wouldn't mind a recurve (horse bow or 3 piece). As to compound archers, we always make fun of them at our club with their training wheels (cams), cheat sight (peep sight), cheat release (release aid) and the fact you could have a cup of tea while a compounder aims...

I wasn't talking about crafting recurves or compound bows but having them spawn in, like the x-bow. The x-bow is actually a compound x-bow, so having a compound bow would be fine regarding long term usage. You could also include sights for the advanced bows, similar to the x-bow, as spawned items. They also need to change the way the bow is carried I.e. carrying it over the shoulder instead of sticking out the way it is at the moment, it just looks weird!!!

I tried it for a while on 1pp servers (use my 1pp char for full on survival, 3pp char for pvp). The bow just doesn't have the range and accuracy needed to be effective, so I went with the x-bow. I will go back to the bow if the bring in recurve or compound bows with better range, accuracy and damage. In regards to quivers, they had one for a while that held 5 arrows and took up one slot in your inventory..not sure what happened to them, but we need a quiver (either found or crafted) that takes up the vest/shoulder holster slot that holds 20+ arrows. Bring in those two things and we will see more robin hoods in the game (also maybe a felt hat with feather for that authentic look!!!)

shoe comfort wear anyone care to explain?

Initially, shoe degredation was hardcore!! You could run for 5 minutes (any shoe, any terrain) and it would be ruined. Ruined shoes (or no shoes) cause damage to your character. I don't believe the different types of shoes change your speed, but different shoes wear differently on certain terrains. Basically combat boots, jungle boots and hiking boots are the bomb!! -
.50 tips for lazy non exp players

Basically, if you are a new spawn, you need to get off the coast to find food. The persistence (on all servers with 0.50 stable iirc) is a little broken, so most stuff spawns inland where people aren't looting (items just stack up in some spots....Green Mountain barracks in exp had heaps of stuff). Hydradtion is still pretty bad, not sure about hunger though. Gardening and hunting require certain items, so it will take a while to get the stuff. Don't waste time looking for guns, equipment etc, just head inland for food, then worry about the rest once you are energised. They have toned down shoe damage, initially you needed a new pair of shoes after running for 5 minutes, now not so bad. No running around without shoes on as you take damage now with ruined or no shoes. New guns are pretty cool, but not essential. Not sure if you can saw off the pump action shotty, awesome if you can. Lockpicks - see above Metal wire can be used to make snares and fish traps with a stick...haven't used them yet.... If you get a leather sewing kit, you don't need to worry about duct tape. It works similar to the sewing kit taking items back to worn (also works on vests!!!). Duct tape takes items to damaged, so leather sewing kit FTW!!! I am really interested in the new towns and locations...didn't explore as much as I wanted on exp, so still things to check out in stable!! -
So, I take it the 0.50 stable push didn't happen? Just jumped on and all servers (Oz) bar experimental are running 0.49... Any news?

Jumped on experimental last night, ran through one small town and my shoes were ruined and my feet started to hurt!! Found a pair of hiking boots (worn) and by the time I got to the next town they were ruined as well. I think the wear on the shoes needs to be toned down a bit...
