^ This is a good idea. Why is vehicle hoarding by clans a problem? If they are doing it legitly there's nothing wrong. The fact they are moving in a large group isn't exploiting - it's cooperation. Additonally you don't have any arguments to wipe the tents except for duping which isn't convincing enough. Tents aren't private, you can go search for them (most are on the north border of the map or moderately far from good-loot cities/objects) and take what's inside them. As for the duping, this is too radical. Legit players get harmed too which means it's bad. Maybe if people stop asking Rocket for new features and let him fix duping this game will be better for all of us. Also I'm pretty sure that this can be done by server admins.

I'm almost certain it's related to the server having a different version (even an old one) than client's. Beta versions are said to be backwards-compatible but it doesn't seem so with DayZ.

Can't you just set up a server DayZ + ACE? I played on a lingor server and it kicked me for lack of ACE content.

I was thinking about that too. However instead of giving everyone a black skin, just make clothing spawn. It would work like the ghillie, called DDD (Vest-dark, Shirt-dark, Pants-dark), BiWBl and so on. I don't get why is it done locally, assigning a skin ID shouldn't put heavy load on the server.

Server: UK118 Time: 19:43 CET Proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNOcNilrqdQ&feature=youtu.be (Might be processing, but works). Spawned in Slonichnyie (or however it's called), 3 minutes after I logged out and logged in after an hour. Aggroed a zombie on the way, soon after I aggroed around 8 zombies. Started running up a hill to lose them. Hid behind a tree, the zeds made a pretty huge teleport in my direction, and the moment I went prone: 1. I got an error window (similar to the "No weapons.cfg" one). It said "Your client does not support serialization", didn't read it to the end because I was too busy worrying about point 2: 2. My camera was pointing at the ground, so I assume I somehow got teleported underground. 3. A soldier-skin zombie appeared out of nowhere and started attacking me despite the fact I was underground. He made me bleed. So that's the first "chapter" of it, now for the second one: 4. Once I got to around 6k blood, I got warped to another place, probably a spawn, judging from the beach - half underground. 5. Once the unconscious time has ended, I died (I think I got teleported to another place before the death, I'm not sure). APART FROM THAT: Everyone got killed around 17:30 CET (not sure) - the server was full ATM (70 players), but you probably got reports on that already.

The only cure to a cold is antibiotics, also they do not have negative side-effects on your organism's defense system. You can operate every high-grade millitary equipment and drive every single vehicle you find yet you can't do a transfusion by yourself.

It's frustrating how I had to travel 5km back and forth (I was inland) to find an interior with food just to realize there's a zombie in it (It happened 3 times) Okay, it would be acceptable if I started out with a weapon, however there's not much I can do with a Flashlight. Why not lower the spawn chance of zeds in VERY small interiors? That excludes firestations etc. but includes "gas-station counter" buildings or the regular houses.

Oh my god, can't you just follow one simple rule: 1. Don't add anything new until you're not done with bugs of the core elements of the game. Fixed zig-zagging zombies and attacking/walking through walls? Cool, now add something new or focus on other bugs.

At least making them not-stop on turns.

The real problem is you expect him to go straight at you, you aim, and the he zig-zags, which means you almost always have to let him attack you to get a headshot on him.

Yup, the moment I managed to sneak into a building and loot at least that pepsi can was damn rewarding (that's before I got attacked by a zombie through a wall). If it's made so zombies don't spawn in small interiors I will be able to live with it.

@OP: My story: I entered a fire station, found a Winchester (not the 1866, the newer model - shooting pellets). Went up the stairs in the tower and glitched in them, was "falling" from the stairs for good 2 minutes, then died. Derp.

Crossbow, Winchester, Lee Enfield - all in one room, in a side room of that long farm bulding with the rusty rails. I personally have nothing against it, just saying, you might not like it or something.

Here's something else: -Takes up secondary or (more drastic) main weapon slot -No "blood debuff", it should be dependent on where the revieved guy got shot -No revieving after headshots (Duh.) -Has to be used a few times (not like BF, *ZAP* and welcome back) to revieve -Low body temp. after revieving

So the other day I decided to move inland, you know, to try something new. Spawned near Chernogorsk and went north near the mountain Vysota and looted the farm near it. Found a winchester and all that good stuff. Now I felt like exploring and moved around Nadezinho from where I moved towards the Zub castle. From there I went to Guglovo. Then something went wrong, I turned around again in the direction of Vysota (of course I didn't know I did). Basically, I made a HUUUUGE circle and you know what? I led myself to EXACTLY the same farm from which I started. Wasted 2 hours. tl;dr - 2hrs of walking in the same place

I'm not interested, although you should try going off the coast and move inland if you don't find anyone. Novy and Stary Sobor are pretty good as you can find some better weapons (M16, AKM etc.) in the barracks and whatnot. If you stay clear of the heat-zone cities it's a lot easier to survive because of lower amounts of players and larger amounts of lootable buildings.

I don't know if it's just me, but this effect makes my eyes burn and makes the game less enjoyable to play. Can it be replaced with something else? Like darkened vision or something less eye-burning?

@logan23: like people don't kill for weapons already and ... matchboxes. inb4 people taking away clothes from the female skin Seriously now, it's a good idea since the ghillies are so rare. I don't know if people would even pick up these ghillies, you know - sea blue and grass green don't mix.

I think the server was UK14, I know there was a 4 in the number. Time: Around 12:15 CET I was crawling around some coastal city (it had a church in it) and suddenly I heard explosions, I thought somebody is just stupid and started shooting the gas tanks, but then someone wrote "A plane just crashed into me". I ran back and yup, there were C130 wrecks all over the place. Then a crawler started chasing me - naturally I aimed and shot him. The problem is I didn't kill him with bullets, I killed him with a plane. Everytime I pulled the trigger a C130 flew out of my Makarov. Then the planes exploded, and I died.
