  1. And I think I paid about fifteen. Basically, the price is still changing, and if you want to be taken seriously quote it correctly when you do.
  2. Umm, dude? It's 35, not 30. Sheesh, you can't even post the price accurately. Why would anything else you say have any type of weight?
  3. The majority of the "positive" reviews ARE jokes. When you take those out, the ratio of negative to positive is overwhelming. Even with them, it's nearly even. And, just to be clear, I don't see "Hey, the only new content we've gotten in two years are more glitches!" as a "deliberately negative crybaby" mentality. It actually seems that you think honest reviews are indicative of "crybaby" status. Wouldn't that make YOU a crybaby? Tool...No beans for you.
  4. I would suggest against it. The only difference I've seen in the past two years that I, regrettably, purchased it is an increase in glitches. Oh, and if you complain about these glitches and quote the devs when they lie you'll get your comments deleted.

    Stable Branch - 0.55 Discussion

Why even work on the zombie ai (or decide to make them immune to certain melee weps) when the ai was fine? The problems we had was never from the ai, it was, and still is, from them walking through walls. From them hitting us from twenty foot away. From them just deciding not to get hit. Here's a question, can we use an axe to chop off a zombie arm? That'd be my preferred weapon; more range than a gun, no need for ammo.

Status Report: Week of 04 August 14

Hmm, well some Hick decided to erase a post I made. I am very glad that I purchased an alpha game in order to give feedback on it only to not be allowed to give feedback. Very mature.

Status Report: Week of 04 August 14

I have now read it. It seems that the change they made to the melee system was intended to make it more workable for the time being, but in my experience melee is now much less responsive. Zombies have longer arms (they were always able to outrange you with your fists, but now the amount is greater), bug much more often for how often they do not respond to hitboxes, will double strike on attack, etc.

I can't submit a bug (my account is locked from bug submission) but I've just three times in a row had to log because I got into a fight with an unkillable zed. And I mean two bullets, ten or twelve swipes with an axe, just unkillable. Last time it killed me. Alpha, don't get used to your stuff, I get it. But what'd you do to hitboxes last patch? It's worse than before. Zed pathing is much better, but you messed up the hitboxes.
  9. Boneboys is a sourpuss. It's like he is killing server bambies or something, And if that isn't on topic I do not know what is.

    How to prevent Character Loss!!

Just alpha, and they don't know how to make a game yet. Modding an awesome game with very few bugs is quite different from having to learn how to program all by yourself. Just give it time, that's what I keep telling myself. I alternate between hating the bugs and saying "Meh"
  11. I just began having this issue myself. Been playing for 60 hours with no issues. After scouring the internet and all relevant forums my thoughts are....meh, we have your cash, you figure it out. *edit* Now I get that message every time I log in, but the game launches anyway after a 15-20 second delay.
  12. It is perfectly normal. I do not believe it is intended, but it happens regularly enough that it is "normal" per se.
  13. Aww, a cute little bigot.
  14. Ahh, fantastic. I was simply typing in the wrong number. Unfortunately, 0.47 was not the number on the screen when I logged in. If I remember correctly. 0.46 was the experimental build when I submitted that post.
  15. Bugtracker has a few bugs itself. I've been unable to post there all day because they forgot which game version they are running.

How to Create a Bug Report for Dummies

I am never able to submit a bug, whenever I try I get the standard "APPLICATION ERROR #1303 Invalid value for field "Game Version". message. Now, I'm not sure how ironic this is, but since I keep on submitting the number on the screen of the game it seems that the bug forum has a few bugs all to itself.
  17. I'm posting these well known bugs here since having a steam account and a dayz account does not let you post on the bug forums, it takes three hours to register an account on the bug forums, and after you register your account on the bug forums you have issues logging into the bug forums because of, well, bugs. Roughly half of the time I log in to a server, even if I visit it regularly and have it on my favorites list, it can't connect with the central server and wants for me to restart my toon. There are always other people on the server connecting fine. Over half of the time I can find no servers on my server list. All of my ports are open for this game. it is certainly not blocked by my router or firewall. I am looking at internet and not lan for the servers, and my filter settings are maxed. It just doesn't let me play half of the time without numerous client restarts.

    Your first kill

I have just killed a man... I was passing through Orlovets... Just passing through you see, nothing to be found in such a dusty little town. I was on my way from Krasnostav to Balota, I heard there were more supplies out west. I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and had the trigger of my SKS halfway suppressed when I heard him shout "Don't shoot!" It's a strange thing, to be ready to shoot at the first sign of movement. I swear, I was not like this when everything was normal. The man looked bedraggled, surely as bad as I did when I first came to. He had no weapons, no pack of food. I felt pity for him. I began to shoulder my firearm as a gesture of goodwill and invite him to a nearby shack for a shared bite to eat when I heard the scream. I unshoulder my weapon, firing as I turn and I see the arm of a zed explode in a shower of gore as I barely miss my target. I pull the trigger again to hear the steady click of an empty chamber. At times like this there is simply no time to reload. Well, maybe a soldier or a police officer could, but didn't I just say that I didn't start off as a violent person? I pull my axe and began chopping down a tree made of rotted flesh, dessicated bone, and necrotic ooze. I took a dizzying blow to my head so I wrapped it up pretty good. I ask the guy if he's all right and he is. Now to start unloading supplies. I'm not a hoarder, mind you, I just figured that it would be good to carry a pair of extra pistols. I have no ammo for them, just for my .45 and SKS, but I figure someone else could use them. I unload a pistol, a water bottle, some charcoal tablets and a few cans of food. I'm wondering whether to give him my axe or my scythe when the first blow nearly sends me sprawling, I spin around, rifle quickly coming to bear, expecting another zed. Here is the man I just rescued from zed, fist raised for another blow. This time reaction does kick in, and I am unable to restrain my finger as it pulls twice, allowing for the recoil of the second shot to put two bullets firmly in his chest. I was able to cry out "Why?" just as the second shot fired. I have sent several zed to their grave, but it was never killing, not really. I am no scientist, but I'll wager that whatever these people have become, there is no humanity left in them. Killing a man, much less one I just rescued, was far different. It was something I never thought to do, even in such crazy times as this. I have just killed a man...
