2X4 sounds perfect. Should go down to 2x3 with a fordable stock imo. It's not a super good gun, but it would offer some protection when going cqb if you have a bolt action rifle.

You can DYI a flamethrower if you're any good at welding or metalworking. It's not that safe by any means, buy all you really need is a fuel tank(as in to store fuel i.e on your back ala ww2 flamethrowers), a pump to pump the fuel and a source of ignition.

Let me tell you a story. I randomly logged into a hardcore server to find and kill a friend who was on it - I logged in at the ATC of NWAF. After checking ATC and fireststion I headed to middle jail. As I was leaving it, I got shot - but not killed. I ran back inside to bandage and camp the stairs. Unfortunately my attackers ran in when I was still bandaging and couldn't do anything about it. I thought they'd shoot me, but to my supprise they handcuffed me and put a burlap sack over my head and took all my gear (crappy anyway). One of them then guided me out of the building and told me to run. After 20 seconds I stopped and took the sack off my head. I had to relog to get rid of the blindness glitch and I headed back to NEAF to seek revenge. I ran into the same two guys near North jail. This time I joined them and we went around NWAF, even gave me a revolver and my clothes back. Soon after I got their mumble and we started playing DayZ, ReD Orchestra etc together. Previous to this, I would've said making friends in game is impossible! But it aint.

They used to spawn almost on top of eachother in the mod. Unless denamic crashsites are introduced,it'll be all about camping server restarts which is so damn lame.

Yeah it's absurd, people defending this simply have never been spawned with broken legs in a field or under a building. Respawm button needed!

I wonder if it would be possible for someone to make a mod for DayZ for WWII era. I mean it would required to retexture a lot of assets and obviously add unique weapons, but it would be pretty awesome imo.
