I once looted the Polana store during the night in complete darkness. I approached the town from the south, and crawled through the street navigating by sound. Some zombie sounds from the left, crawl to the right etc. I had a compass so I could stay on-course. After about 10 minutes of listening to zombie sounds and crawling around I finally reached the store. Once inside I had to fire up a chemlight to see the loot piles! Afterwards it was another 10mins of crawling NW up the hill and to safety. It was INTENSE! Ever since that I've been playing a lot at night!

I was playing with two of my friends, looted the pustoschka store and then sneaked up to the church, suddenly we hear "don't shoot I'm friendly!" on the direct voip. There was a dude with an m16 in the church. Then we all looted the church and went our own separate ways without firing a shot. It was nice and restored my faith in humanity a bit! Not everyone's a bandit.

I read the first 6 pages of this thread and I must say... This game has one of the worst player communities EVER.

I'm a friendly player, "live and let live". I had all the gear you can have(except NVGs and a GPS), M4A3 CCO with 5 mags, loads of food and other vital gear. I was playing at night, looting the two houses near Zub. I turned around inside the house and bam there was a player right behind me, probably a friendly too since he was about 1,5 meters away and hadn't killed me. He startled me real bad, and my finger accidentally hit mouse1, so I fired a round in to the wall right next to him. As you might imagine, things went down hill from there. I'm not entirely sure, but I think we both died... Such a stupid way to lose your gear!
