I am aware of the IRL stuff, and I completely agree. What I'd like to know is whether there is a weapon damage chart so I could compare and make some conclusions on weapon choise. The numbers in that Wiki seem to be false. Anyone?

I'm gonna try to revive this thread. Can someone confirm that tents spawn all over the place in the tall apartments? I've spent 417 hours of playing DayZ SA, never seen a single tent! Damn!

(Except Amphibia and Longhorn, again.) Edit: wow, I just noticed that according to Wiki, Longhorn deals the same damage as the rest of the handguns, only the Amphibia stands aside.

I found three lethal nades and one flashbang during a night of looting. Never used one because I was killed by a cheater who wouldn't even let me take any weapon in my hands. Therefore my answer is, no matter how much gear you have, it all may be too many and useless. Don't get attached to it.

Every now and then I see blank names of players on a server. Does it indicate presence of cheaters or what else? I personally cannot make my ingame nick appear empty.

The other buildings in towns rather belong to Western Europe. The namings are definitely Russo-Ukrainian. The name Chernarus is a pun itself. While one of the three East-Slavic countries is called Belarus (which translates as White Rus'), the Chernarus reads as Black Rus'.

Am I the only player who loves this game a big deal but can't play it because of hackers? Not a troll post, really. No need to express the feeling when you and your buddies have been looting and progressing for hours, and having fun together only to have the game ruined for us by another hacker. I've been absent from this game for over a month hoping that new patch would deal with this enormous issue. No way. Again the same old hacks. Our weapons simultaneously drops (or holsters), we log off trying to escape the hacker... Nope, freshspawn. Am I the only odd one out who has this contradictive and irreconcilable feeling towards DayZ?

I've just been kicked from an apparently clan server while climbing up a ladder. After this my character was reset. Is it a common occurrence that character resets if exiting server while on a ladder?

Me and my buddy were on the same First Person server, waiting for the server to restart. The server restarted, and our characters were reset. We tried different servers, no good news, we were freshspawns. Why?

I personally see no difference at all between bipod and no-bipod aiming characteristics. (I tested only AKM and AK101. Apparently one cannot attach a bipod to Mosin or anything else, except maybe the rare M4). Can some knowledgeable people confirm or disprove my observation?

Do you people know what is the probability of a designated heli-spawn area to spawn an actual helicopter? What is the chance to meet an actual downed copter in a marked location?

The point of my topic was not the chat trolling.

Last night I joined one full (regular, stable version) russian server . In Berezino I spawned into one of the blocks of flats (close to Berezino police station, on the spot where I logged out during previous session). As I was looking out of the windows trying to hunt other players I heard a voice in local channel. A guy asked me, what I was doing in the house. I looked around, run to other rooms, nobody was there. The voice kept trying to talk to me (actually, not talking but spewing some russian obscenities). I told him to ... off. I heard a shot and a bullet hit me. He kept talking. I ran between the rooms trying to locate him and downstairs and the M4 shots kept following me from nowhere, eventually killing me. Here. I am absolutely sure he was not in the house and I was not shot from outside. It seemed like he was invisible and at the same time able to shoot through the walls. My first suspicion is hacking. The second suspicion is that the guy was glitched somewhere enabling him to shoot me through walls and keeping an eye on me. It was my first experience of this kind in DayZ in 240 hours of playing and I'm wondering how to deal with this shit in the future. Do you people often meet hacking in this game and how bad the situation is? Is the experimental 0.47 version less susceptible to being hacked?

Will the participants be using a Teamspeak channel?

Lol, mate. I appreciate your help so much. The sad thing is that FAILs still followed me this day. The highly coveted 75-drum mag given by you didn't respawn as I joined the other server. It just disappeared. You can imagine my frustration. I've lost around 4 of these mags since they appeared in stable, they're so glitched. Well, nevermind. I still have the flat mags. I found a TTsKO shirt (pristine) and FNX "red dot" (pristine afaik) for you. I'm ready to repay you for the trouble.

Happened to me twice. My twin spawned next to me. I killed him and looted him. I didn't cause my character to die, so don't be afraid. A known bug.

I have 1. Long Range Scope (x2) (pristine) 2. MP5, handguard(worn), buttstock (worn) I need 1. Drum or flat magazine for AKM 2. AKM. Hardcore server PM me if interested.

Exactly. But you should have a choice of doing it or not. It seems to be implemented anyway, the only problem is that the 3rd person animation pictures both stances (hip and shoulder aiming) the same way, although they aren't the same. That's all.

Nonsense. Why wouldn't you fire from the hip, if you have hundreds of rounds, an automatic rifle, and are willing to do it. Shoulder and hip stance have different animation in first person, have different accuracy, and therefore should look different from 3rd person view as well. Long live the common sense.

Made me laugh. Probably a downshifter. ;) Nope, mate. No helicopters have been seen lately. I'm playing mostly on hardcore anyway. I have a friend with a fully kitted M4 on hardcore, who may be willing to trade it for an AK, provided you have it on hardcore.
