Didn't cook. I found a couple of the steaks lying on the road of a town along with a pile of bones on an empty server. I wasn't hungry, but was hungry for adventure )) So I ate both of them raw on the spot.

In a nutshell. I just ate a raw human steak, for testing (not tasting) purposes and for adventure. Got "funny taste in my mouth" and gradual black and white vision (due to blood loss apparently). No message in my status window, only the "healthy" status is gone. No vomiting so far. No weird laughing. "Energized" and "hydrated" at bright green. Question: how far will my condition go and what should I expect? Thanx/

Are the barrels persistent in game? I just hid a couple of barrels on an empty persistent server. They disappeared after the server's restart. I may presume the server crashed, although it didn't look like it. The server was empty all the time, so there is zero chance someone took them. Does the barrel persistence work for you folks? What are the other items that are supposed to be persistent, besides the barrels and the tents? P.S. How does the open/closed lid of a barrel affect persistence? IIRC I forgot to close the barrels' lids before they disappeared. Could it be the reason?

I need some advice regarding the antistab vest. As I remember in previous versions the vest was next to useless since it didn't have any protection stats (according to some testing and the stats itself). After a half a year break I'm playing the game again. What I noticed is that the antistab vest gets pretty quickly ruined in a fist fight. Does it give any protection now? If yes, what kind? Against stab damage only or also other kinds of damage? Thanks for answering.

Hi folks. I'm currently planning on getting a large monitor for gaming, let's say 30"-34". What bothers me though is whether higher resolutions are supported by the game. The biggest resolution I saw in video options list was my current resolution 1920x1200 for a 24" monitor. Does it make sense to strive for bigger monitors with higher resolution? Thanx for help.

Yep. Funny thing is that when I switch to Experimental the problem disappears. But still unable to play Stable version. What a shame.

Did that already, it didn't help. I even re-installed the game. Still getting the same message and not able to join any stable server. Damn it, seems like I'll skip my weekend DayZ gaming.

Here is the full message. Weird, because I didn't mess with these settings in any way. I normally played on a Experimental Server, then I switched to Stable and the issue appeared. What can be done to fix this?

Happens to me so often in the current build. Somehow a character often manages to be HUNGRY, THIRSTY and STUFFED at the same time. This pisses me off oh so much when I can't get to healing status (Bright ENERGIZED and dark HYDRATED) because I get so stuffed that I vomit long before that. Nonsense.

Just a couple minutes ago my DayZ started behaving in an odd manner. Whenever I try to join any server the game minimizes and a window appears After a couple seconds a message appears in this window saying something like "could not update Battleye. Not able to connect to Battleye server". Has it happened to anyone? Is it CURRENTLY HAPPENING to anyone playing DayZ right now?

AFAIK, the plate carrier provides NO protection at all, despite the description.

That's what I'm looking for in DayZ. Autogyros. IMHO they perfectly fit the concept of the game.

Just happened to me yesterday. I was about to log out near Zeleno military base in a shed, when I heard a truck approaching. Expectedly the truck stopped right next to me. I popped out of the shed and made my first ever kill with MP5 which I just recently found in Prison Island. The guy was the only other guy on the server. Sorry for the KOS, but thank you for the truck.
