I'm up north anyway, but I rarely play public servers. Sorry dude. And just FYI, try not to double start double threads. Mods get a little bit nasty if you constantly do it :P
-
Aye. Give your position and what server you're on and maybe someone will come kill you.
-
You might be better of asking if someone could kill you. Give them your location and what server you're on.

Nice jumping to conclusions there Rakrul. But it's common knowledge that if it's a STEAM version of the game, sometimes the serial number doesn't install because they didn't get enough of them and high demand for the game meant they went through their amount of keys. Doing a complete re-install of Arma2: CO would be your best bet I think.

Incredibly long unconscious timer - HELP!
piemanpm replied to The Alphabeat.'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
You spawned into what is known as Debug Plains. I would help but I'm far up North and I very rarely play public anymore. Sorry dude. -
this server is running an incorrect version of the server side application
piemanpm replied to TXRanger73's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
All this tells me is that your trying to join a server which is a different version to your client. Try updating to 1.7.2.6 and join a 1.7.2.6 server. -
I'm having connectivity issues shortly after successfully joining a game.

Have you tried manually updating BattlEye? To do this: Go to BattlEye Open up your download directory Copy the .dll file you downloaded Paste the .dll file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\BattlEye and overwrite the one that is in there. Paste the .dll file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye and overwrite the one that's in there too. Load into game, but wait at the lobby until you see " BattlEye Client: Server Computed GUID: * Insert lots of numbers and letters here * Press Ok and just wait. -

Sometimes I get seriously tired of posting the same thing. Over and over and over and over. I think I'm going to put it in a .txt file and just copy and paste it instead of typing it out every fucking time. But. Here goes. 1. Download Arma2 and Arma2: Operation Arrowhead. 2. Run Arma2 until you load into the menu, then exit game. 3. Run Arma2: Operation Arrowhead until you load into the menu, then exit game. 4. Run Arma2: Combined Operations ( Done by Right click Arma2: Operation Arrowhead and left clicking Launch Arma2: Combined Operations ) Load into the menu, then exit. 5. Download DayZCommander and install it. 6. Run DayZCommander. 7. In the top right hand corner under the Minimise, Maximise and Close sign. There is 4 Tabs. Click the " Settings " Tab. 8. Tick the boxes that say " Launch using Steam " and " Replace original Arma2OA files with Beta so Steam works " It should look something like this. Click Done. 9. Click the " Install / Update " Tab. 10. Under where it says " ARMA 2: XxXxX " there should be a drop down box below that, make sure the one that says ( Latest ) by the side is selected and press the " Install " button. You will have to wait a while for it to download, and when it does, you get a installation box come up. Install as you would normally a patch. 11. Where it says " DAYZ: XxXxX " there should be a drop down box below that, make sure the one that says ( Latest ) by the side is selected and press the " Install " button. Once it's downloaded you will have a wait till it says " DAYZ: 1.7.2.6 (Up to date) " before doing anything else. It should look like this. Click Done. If your Game Directories are blank. Try restarting your computer. 12. Click the " Servers " tab on the left hand side and look for a server you fancy and double click one you like. 13. You should load into Player Screen where it says all of the names of the people in the server. Wait until you see " BattlEye Client: Server computing GUID: * insert lots of numbers and letters here * before pressing the OK button, as you will get kicked because of BattlEye not loading up properly. 14. After waiting through a loading bar and " Loading " in the middle of the screen, you will come across a gender selection screen. Click a gender. And wait. 15. You will load in game, take note of what it says in the bottom right of your screen, as that is your location and you can find out where to go and buildings to enter by looking at This Map 16. When you've loaded in you want to press the " ESC " key, go to Options -> Video Options and you want the " 3D resolution " to be the same as your " Interface Resolution " 17. Play Bravo. You should be loaded into DayZ. -
Haha. I get you now. Usually if the FPS is low and it takes a while to load in, the server you're playing on needs a restart. It happens. Arma 2 : DayZ is prone to memory leaks, so servers have to be restarted every 4 - 8 hours to keep optimal performance. Just move to a different server :)

Haha. Good to hear dude. Glad I could help.

I don't know where you've heard September from. It was rumoured that 1.7.3 was going to be released in September ( Hey who knows. Still a little time left right? ) But never the stand alone, all Dean has said is " End of 2012 " As for the Anti-Cheat thing, ARMA 2 was kind of developed for scripting, modding and coding. So that's why " Hacking " is so ripe in public hives. I think they'd be going with BattlEye anyway, because ARMA and ARMA 2 both run off it, and with them having ARMA 2 coders, it would make sense. However it does say " Improved anti-cheat measures. " on the http://dayztx.com/da...dalone-updates/ website. So I'm not really sure what they are going to do. But I think they'll just lock it down more and find out more ways of detecting Script-kiddies and stuff like that.

error running arma 2 with dayz plz help help help
piemanpm replied to navy_seals83's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
We need more information than that to help you dude. What exactly do you own? ARMA 2: Combined Operations or do you ARMA 2 Free and Operation Arrowhead? What do you own them on ( STEAM / Disc )? What error are you getting specifically ( Screenshot would be great )? -
Sometimes happens with DayZ Commander. Have you tried restarting your computer and retrying? That's how I fixed it when it did it with me. If you need instructions on how to manually update BattlEye. Here it is: Go to http://www.battleye.com/downloads/arma2/new/BEClient.dll and wait for the .dll file to download. Go to your download directory and copy the .dll file. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\BattlEye and paste the file in there and over write the one that's in there. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye and paste and over write the .dll in there aswell.

Run both Arma2 and Arma2: Combined Operations once to complete installation. Download the latest version of DayZCommander from http://www.dayzcommander.com Run DayZCommander and click the "versions" button from the top menu. Click "Install latest revision" under Arma2 OA. Wait for the download and install to complete. Click "Install latest version" under DayZ. Wait for the download and install to complete. Press "Done" to close the versions panel. Double-click any listed server to play. If you need a video, here's one:

http://dayzmod.com/f...rm/#entry752725 As far as I am aware. You can NOT be banned and you SHOULD not be kicked from any server for owning a AS50 TWS. However, how closely followed are the rules stated in http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/62195-server-hosting-rules/ thread actually followed? So you'll more than likely be kicked from or banned from the server you are in for having a TWS, if it gets reported to a admin or you say you have it.

http://kodabar.blogspot.dk/2012/05/how-to-install-dayz-with-arma-2-free.html Have a read of that dude. Should help you out.
-
1. Don't make multiple posts. 2. Did you run both ARMA 2 and ARMA 2:OA before installing DayZ?
-
I'm kind of confused at what the issue is exactly...
-
Humanity is bugged aswell as countless things in DayZ. Grab bloodbags and start giving them out :P
-
Here's your solution. Go to http://www.battleye.com/downloads/arma2/new/BEClient.dll and wait for the .dll file to download. Load in as usual. I'm not sure if you have to do it in the normal Arma 2 folder, but I'd advise it anyway.

piemanpm replied to SoWeMeetAgain's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I think it's because they zone slowly to a flatter surface maybe? -
Sorry for being snappy. Lack of sleep and playing DayZ for 12 hours can do that to you. As for the debug, I would just leave it off till they eventually fix it in 1.7.3 if I was you. It's just them releasing not fully tested things to test them out, it is a alpha after all. But when 1.7.3 / Standalone will be released, no-one knows. Which is why I've been playing on a private hive for the past who knows how long.
