Uninstalling and reinstalling won't do anything as it's linked to your CD-KEY and that doesn't change when you reinstall. Just load in, alt+tab out and wait to die. Or tell someone your location and server and get them to kill you.

Haven't been able to find anything like this that's after 1.7.1. I'd be guessing it's something to do with your uni internet. Try emailing your administrator and asking them if they can help you. Maybe they made a change in the settings and screwed something up.

No. He's complaining about when you get shot in DayZ you sometimes spawn back in unconscious. I'm afraid you just have to wait it out until you die ( Alt + Tab out and do something else for a while till you die of starvation ), get someone to come kill you, or you could get the Devs to reset your character, but that takes ages to get a response on apparently.

Did you do this: 1. Download Arma2 and Arma2: Operation Arrowhead. 2. Run Arma2 until you load into the main menu, then exit game. 3. Run Arma2: Operation Arrowhead until you load into the main menu, then exit game. 4. Run Arma2: Combined Operations ( Done by Right click Arma2: Operation Arrowhead and left clicking Launch Arma2: Combined Operations ) Load into the main menu, then exit. 5. Download DayZCommander and install it. 6. Run DayZCommander. 7. In the top right hand corner under the Minimise, Maximise and Close sign. There is 4 Tabs. Click the " Settings " Tab. 8. Tick the boxes that say " Launch using Steam " and " Replace original Arma2OA files with Beta so Steam works " It should look something like this. Click Done. If your Game Directories are blank. Try restarting your computer. 9. Click the " Install / Update " Tab. 10. Under where it says " ARMA 2: XxXxX " there should be a drop down box below that, make sure the one that says ( Latest ) by the side is selected and press the " Install " button. You will have to wait a while for it to download, and when it does, you get a installation box come up. Install as you would normally a patch. 11. The character information that you use in DayZ is stored on the DayZ hive. Which is inaccessible to people other than the DayZ Staff. So deleting your profile on the client side has no effect because the information is linked to your Player ID, and your Payer ID stays the same no matter how many profiles you create, your name just changes. And your Player ID is linked to your CD-Key. The only solution that I know of is to wait it out ( have ARMA running in the backround while you do something else and keep checking see if you've starved and died ), Get someone to go to the server you are on kill you, or request a character wipe ( usually takes ages ).

Sounds weird. Just loaded into DayZ ( DayZCommander -> Settings -> Launch DayZ now ) and tried the expansions menu, and it's grayed out for me too, so is Single player. I think it's meant to be like that. Have you got: Version 1.62.96895 DayZ 1.7.2.6 in the bottom right hand corner, and: DAYZ ArmA 2 beta Expansion @DayZ In the top right?

Have you tried restarting your computer? As stupid as it sounds, it seems to solve my issues with DayZCommander when they pop up. There's prolly a easier way of fixing it, but I've not delved into it too much and restarting usually does the trick.

Are you getting Desync? Desync is where you get the yellow chain / red chain then booted after a while.

That's called Desync. Just been googling issues, and the threads I have come across seem to have no solution. Will continue looking for you dude.

Shouldn't have anything to do with your specs. Are you sure you're not just joining night servers? I had problems when I used to play public hives about how the time in the server name wouldn't actually be the time in the server. Try a few servers.

Weird. Try going to " Settings " in DayZ Commander and clicking " Launch DayZ now " What does it say above DayZ 1.7.2.6 in the bottom right hand corner? Also, do you have the " Replace Original Arma2OA files with Beta so Steam works " box ticked?

No problems dude :) Hope you get it fixed. I'm thinking its a BE issue because you only started experiencing the problems after you " Updated " to the latest client, correct? Sometimes gets corrupted when it's updating and causes problems. I don't think I've had a successful ingame BE client update for quite some time now.

Why'd you need a character reset? O.o This is what I hate about Public Hives TBH, at the minute the private hive I'm playing in is amazing. I spawned in debug forest last night and within a day they'd done a roll back for me. Where as if it was on the public one, I'd have to wait days, if not months for a character reset.
