I thought the same dude! I was playing a private hive on 1.7.6 and quit for a while. Came back into 7.4.4 and noticed no debug monitor.

INST stands for instruments IIRC and is repairable with Scrap Metal. Choppers still leak fuel if all the glass is not repaired, so you putting fuel in, and the glass not being repaired, it's just leaking it straight out again. Repair all the glass and the INST and try again :)

No problems dude. Glad to hear you can play now. You prolly won't be able to launch it through STEAM because STEAM fucked up during the " clean up process " and you can't launch Combine Operations through STEAM any longer. I'm sure there's a way around this by editing the cmd file. But if you just want to launch into DayZ without actually joining a server, you can do this through DayZCommander. Just go to the " Settings " tab and click " Launch DayZ Now "

You can't create a new character unless you have broken bones or you die IIRC. Thus hypothermia would be the only way to die at sea.

In short. No. Leave your character ingame, alt+ tab out and watch a film or something and you'll eventually die of hypothermia.

Have you been successful in actually loading into game? Here is how I've always told my friends to install DayZ: 1. Download and install Arma2 and Arma2: Operation Arrowhead. 2. Run Arma2 until you load into the main menu, then exit game. 3. Run Arma2: Operation Arrowhead until you load into the main menu, then exit game. 4. Download DayZCommander and install it. 5. Run DayZCommander. 6. In the top right hand corner of DayZCommander, under the Minimise, Maximise and Close sign. There are 4 Tabs. Click the " Settings " Tab. 7. Tick the boxes that say " Launch using Steam " and " Replace original Arma2OA files with Beta so Steam works " It should look something like this. ( Ignore the Additional Launch Parameters that I have ) Click Done. If your Game Directories are blank. Try restarting your computer. 8. Click the " Install / Update " Tab. 9. Under where it says " ARMA 2: XxXxX " there should be a drop down box below that, make sure the one that says ( Latest ) by the side is selected and press the " Install " button. You will have to wait a while for it to download, and when it does, you get a installation box come up. Install as you would normally a patch. 10. Where it says " DAYZ: XxXxX " there should be a drop down box below that, make sure the one that says ( Latest ) by the side is selected and press the " Install " button. Once it's downloaded you will have a wait till it says " DAYZ: 1.7.4.4 (Up to date) " before doing anything else. It should look like this, but with 1.7.4.4. Click Done. 11. Numpad - is to zoom out a little, pressing it twice rapidly keeps you zoomed out. , and . are to change the channel you talk into. Enter brings up a text box. Caps Lock is your ingame Push-To-Talk key. O is to bring up your Watch when you have one. Pressing it twice rapidly keeps the Watch up. K is to bring up your compass when you have one. Pressing it twice rapidly keeps the Compass up. G is to bring up your gear. In order to put things into your backpack, when you come upto a loot pile and press G, if you click your bag and click " Open Bag " ( second tab from the right ) you can put things in there. C is to crouch. Z is to go prone. V is to vault over things. Left Shift is to walk. Q and E are to lean to the side when Crouched / Stood up. And to do a barrel roll when prone. F is to Toggle between things like Flares, Grenades Smoke Grenades ECT Scroll is used to switch between Primary and Secondary weapons.

Works! Just make sure you're editing the right Profile and you're using that profile.

I actually wondered the same thing the other day. Seems STEAM has fucked up in their " cleaning files " thing that they are doing. You won't be able to join any servers because you will be launching the game as OA not CO. In DayZCommander, just click Settings and click " Launch DayZ Now" Then go about joining how you normally would. There are other ways, but this one seems to be the most convenient and doesn't involve editing CMD files.

If by longshot you mean noshot... Rocket made a announcement on another thread some time ago( Can't be arsed sifting through and finding it ) Which basically said that if you FOUND a scripted in weapon and took it, you are not at fault and won't be punished. However if YOU scripted the weapon in you'll be found out and banned. Chances are if everyone who has a scripted in weapon had a reset, there would be alot more QQing. I haven't played on a public server for quite some time now. Can't wait for the standalone to finally get rid of the majority of those script kiddies.

Wrong otherd. They don't know what actually causes the issue IIRC. Chances are if BE was kicking you, your player file got corrupted when you loaded in and spawned you in debug. Nothing you can do about it really. Standalone is due out any time, so just bear with the mod for now.

Highly fucking annoying. Spent ages trying to find out what was causing the problem when it happened to me earlier and didn't find a solution. Just use http://www.dayzcommander.com/]DayZ Commander and connect to servers through that.

It's usually caused by the server you are joining not being restarted frequently, ARMA 2 DayZ has memory leaks like mad, thus has to be restarted every 4 - 8 hours to keep up performance. It's also caused by connecting to a server before you assigned a GUID. Just wait until it says your GUID in the bottom left and then click OK.

It's not Completely hard drive dependant at all. It's mainly CPU / GPU dependant. If you want to try and get some extra FPS, have a read of: http://www.rockpaper...php/t-2565.html and have a look at: http://i.imgur.com/1AQoW.jpg I installed a RAM disk and it didn't make one difference.

In that 4 hours, you could have got used to a keyboard and mouse :P

Have a clean out of your system and see if it runs any better. My CPU reaches around 60 and my GPU around 85. But they are overclocked.

Just tried setting up that overlay you have on, and boy is it a pain in the arse to set up on duel monitor. Lol. Back on topic. Just wait for the guys at DayZCommander forums to get back to you, I think that would be best :)

Try deleting the file it's telling you is too short and then " Verify Integrity of game cache " of ARMA2:OA in steam

Rofl. I love these posts. 1. Windows 7 more than likely has nothing to do with your FPS. 2. ARMA 2 is a very intensive CPU program and you have a DUEL core CPU. And at a glance I'd say your GFX card is being stupidly bottlenecked by your CPU. Upgrade 3. If you really want to try and get more FPS.
