It should be fixed eventually. Remember this is only the ALPHA phase. I think Rocket had to script the Zombies in, hence why they're so weird.

Instaling Help, I Use Game Stop App
piemanpm replied to Unholy Wayz's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I'm not entirely sure dude. But I'd be guessing this. Download and install Six Updater Launch Six LAUNCHER. Let it update files and stuff until it gives you a server list with a green " play " button. If it doesn't pick up the install path on it's own, click " Settings " in the bottom left and navigate to the Arma exe's and click the box that says BETA. Go to Arma2 and download and install the latest beta. And you should be ready to go I think. Not too sure as I don't know anyone who has used the game stop app. But that should work. If not, post back and someone or me will post back and try to help. :) -
Are you sure you're launching with the BETA? Cos with the no Debug thing, it's looking like you're not. Go to This thread and do what it says in the first few steps. Instead of -beta=Expansion\beta;ca;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@DayZ;ca -cpuCount=4 -exThread=7 -maxMem=8192 -nosplash use -beta=Expansion\beta;ca;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@DayZ;ca -nosplash instead. Until you actually get the game working properly. Then you can add the other options if you please.

I too have low FPS. I think it's server side based because in some servers it's not as bad as others. Specs: Intel i7 920 OCed to 3.5GHz G-Skill 12GB DDR3 1600Mhz ATI Radeon HD 6870 I'm running DayZ on a RAMdisc and with these perimeters set in STEAM: -cpuCount=8 -maxMem=8192 Here are my ingame settings: Visibility : 10000 Brightness: 1.5 Gamma: 1.6 Quality Preferances: Very High Interface resolution / 3D resolution: 1680x1050 Texture detail: Normal Video Memory: High Anisotropic Filtering: Normal Antialiasing: Normal Terrain Detail: Normal Objects Detail: Very Low Shadow Detail: Disabled HDR quality: Very High Postprocess effects: Normal Interface size: Very Small Aspect ratio: 16:10 - Wide Screen Vsync - Disabled I'm getting 10 FPS when I load in, eventually going upto 17 / 20. It's playable, but I feel it's no-where near what it should be. A friend said it could be a serverside memory leak? Hence why they have to be restarted so often?

Np dude. Glad you can play :)
-
I believe it's the ARMA II beta patch that does this, not DayZ
-
First of all. Rofl :p If you create a new profile, it won't make a difference, as the character on the servers are linked to the serial. If you want to log out of STEAM and log in yours, the logout button is in the top left " STEAM " then " Change User "
-
Did you log-out while in shock? Or low blood? Seems to be happening to quite a few people. I'm thinking it may be a bug.
-
It's kind of hard for the Devs to get back to people when there's THAT many people all asking for help, most with different problems. I think it's that the newest version requires the ARMA II Beta patch that is messing people around the most. Now what's your problems? How are you running the game? STEAM or retail? You kind of make it hard when you don't put exactly what the problem is in your post.

Run to the hills! Run for your liiiiffffeeee! Aha. Glad you got it working dude, this is a awesome mod to be playing. -
First of all. Calm down :p This is a ALPHA mod. It's not meant to be the easiest of things to install. Specially now you need to be running the ARMA II: OA beta patch. Download the BETA from Here then do what it says on This Thread If you're still having problems, post and we'll try to help :)
-
Have a read of This Post It should help with your problem :)
-
Sounds like you've not updated to the beta. Get the beta from Here then follow the instructions on Here
-
Are you running Combined Operations, and just Operation Arrowhead?
-
This Post is where I got the information from. Might be a bit clearer :)
-
Have you got the BETA version 93965?
-
Deleted file Chernarus and addon CH building parts?
piemanpm replied to DragonKnight (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
You'll have to give us some more information other than " It won't run as CO " I take it you're using STEAM? If so, you right click on Operation Arrowhead in STEAM and click " Launch ARMA II: Combined Operations. " Make sure you've done what is on This Thread after you've installed the BETA from Arma2.com -
While using steam, the _runA2CO_beta.cmd doesnt work
piemanpm replied to Carnack's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Why would you edit the cmd file anyway? Why not just do what it says on This Post? -
Are you sure you have flashlight equipped in your pistol slot, and have it out?

While using steam, the _runA2CO_beta.cmd doesnt work
piemanpm replied to Carnack's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
You want to be right clicking on OA and clicking " Launch ARMA II: Combined Operations " in STEAM. -
M1014 12 Gague Rounds Won't Load?
piemanpm replied to Maverik (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Definition of an Alpha Test. Definition - A situation in which a new product, especially new software, is tested for the first time to check that it is working correctly: Purpose - The main purpose of alpha testing is to refine the software product by finding and fixing "bugs" (errors) in the program. This is done by simulating a real user environment and by carrying out tasks and operations that the actual users might perform. We're not customers as much as we are testers. Our "job" is to report any bugs we find and make constructive suggestions. This enables the developers to create a more stable, well rounded Mod. Primary attribute of an Alpha Tester : Patience -

Did you log out when you had Shock?
-
Yea. That's why I put it in brackets after. Just incase you got mislead :)

You sure you're loading in CO, not just OA?
