Op is a perfect example of what is wrong in modern society. It's the ME ME ME!!!! mentality (I don't like it, therefore it is shit and it must be done how *I* want it), being a loudmouth while staying uninformed and ignorant (games in alpha stadium are ALWAYS subject to change and not to be taken as a full playable set in stone game) and last the absolute inability to adapt to changes, rather running head first to a wall over and over again or resorting to hissy fits with lots of insults like in the OP. Bravo, I say!

Loved how in Neoscavenger you could actually use the plastic bags scattered around in junk everywhere. Our modern society relies on plastic everywhere so much I am flabbergasted why this isn't in the game yet. Make them very very easy to break and you can only equip it in your hands. Make them spawn everywhere.

In such an enviroment high quality seeds could even be used as a currency, everyone interested in surviving would want the best seeds possible. I approve. :)

You work for 'one of the biggest software companies' and yet do not know of the industry standard of development? Alpha gets added content and feautures, im beta the performance and bugs get taken care of. -
This thread just made my morning coffee so much better. :D 'Professional Tester' - then says he tests dayz and occassionally gets a game for free not even mentioning the horrible grammar and incoherent writing.
-
Thhis is very common. You want to still altee the assets to make them fit to your style, but speaking of game develooment experience it is nothing unheard of :)
-
Don't take me wrong, but your education seems pretty questionable with all that very bad grammar and the assumption that a gun will function just perfect if you randomly drill a hole or two in its barrel.
-
This subforum is for the standalone and not the mod. Why are you bringing this up?
-
Seriously? I hope this is just a joke by the devs. Incredibly unfitting and tryhard otherwise.
-
Yes, they have a plan and vision that they stick to. Or are you another one of these guys that doesm't understand that ever changing and testing gameplay elements is exactly what is done in an alpha in game development?
-
So I guess it has escaped your reading that the standalone repaetedly got called 'the anti game' by its makers? What you want is casualize the game. While there are many casual survival games out there, a truly hardcore and semi realistic one is hard to find. And the developers want to fill that hole. Why do you want to turn the standalone into something it isnt? Why is it always 'me me me me!!!' with todays gamers? Cant we atleast for once let the developers go through something exactly how they have planned it? It sometimes feels like groundhogsday on these forums..

Vybor Military- ex-USSR-bloc Missed Connections

I am not dissing the story itself, aside being a server hopping individual from how it sounds it was decently written. I just question the intention, like, how is the victim ever supposed to find out? Why adress it to him/her? -

Why do people ALWAYS assume that their victim/their wrongdoer will somehow read this post? -
This is easily the most unstable early access game I have ever played

These threads feel like groundhog day. How can so many people be so ignorant or misinformed what an alpha development stage actually entails -.- -
Final Thoughts from an Early MOD player....
surf_polar replied to xalienax's topic in General Discussion
I for one am glad the standalone distances itself from the mod. I started pretty late in the mod admittedly, but I have never seen anything other than PvP all the time, regardless of the server which I found incredibly boring. The SA focuses on survival aspects and detail, of which I missed in the mod. If I would want nothing but PvP, I would simply run arma, a coop mission or king of the hill. -
will there be a Boeing AH-64 Apache someday for Dayz standalone?
surf_polar replied to joshua barreto's topic in Suggestions
This is by far the most ridicolous and inappropriate idea I've seen for dayz -
Dean Hall constantly said he wants the dayz survival and sparse/cautious interactions as close to the feeling 'The Road' has given him as possible (awesome book/movie btw) so I am not sure why some people are so surprised. 'Hobo simulator' comes pretty close to that and the game is progressing in that direction. This coupled with the more realistic approach towards combat thanks to Armas legacy is what makes the game so interesting for me and I guess many others. People that whine about that direction simply didnt inform themselves well enough
-
I already said previously that the vast majority of money BI makes is with their contracted engines they directly sell to goverments etc. worldwide, not arma, dayz or whatever. Plus, the DayZ Standalone made so much money already compared to the cost of developing that they do not have to worry at all about that. But I guess it's much easier for some posters to ignore what's been stated instead. :D

I for one cant wait till all the whiners and entitled people quit. Really had to laugh that steam will somehow get involved. :D Quality of players before quantity.

Any of you guys wonder what time period dayz is in.
surf_polar replied to Azzerrrr's topic in General Discussion
Some of you guys apparently never visited a post soviet country. ;) The infrastucture in places looks just the same as in chernarus, if not even worse. Especially in more rural provinces, 2015 didn't have much of an effect on the technology and infrastucture. I've seen it in poland, hungary, czech republic etc. - so for me its not hard to believe dayz is set in modern days. -
I appreciate your work, but we live in a bleak world where people can't even muster up the will to come up with a basic character concept on the fly.

Chernarus is a relatively poor and developing country and especially not america. -_- -
Nice try. No pvp in this game.

Majority of money comes in through the Military Simulators they sell to goverments and its a small company. Thosw mystical sharehders wont give a damn :)
