Yesterday we kinda hit loot jackpot while we were just randomly trying to find a new item that was introduced in the last patch. Went into the castle territory, up the tower, no sword there, so we left. I took the wrong turn and ended in the yard of the castle - only to find 4 tents and DOZENS of backpacks filled with ammo, clothing, medical equipment, lots of rifles and so on. We really went WHAT THE FUCK there - it's not a private shared but we see the same names everytime we log on to the server so it was kind of shocking that some guys were packing up big time right in "our" neigbourhood (granted we found a much better hiding spot for our military tent :D) http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/546393011942546950/209C4730E6F55FA46A3F0EBAFDC1B6D0CDAFBE54/ This was on our second tour to the location after we already took the most valuable items and 2 tents. Actually thinking of writing a note to put down there asking them if they want some of their stuff back and if we could maybe work together in the future. If not, well guess we made some actual enemies and this is cool too because it's not some faceless player next time, but some guys with vendetta. Have you experienced similar stories?

Indeed and I am looking forward to this. DayZ's slowly becoming DayZ hehe. I'm kinda the leader of our group of survivors and negotiating over ressources and territory with other groups is right up my alley. It is however a bit moot since all our (and their) tents got deleted. Doesn't matter, we'll stay persistent. :)

Except of the ammo that was there a plenty in nifty 30 or 20 round stacks, there was not much identical stuff there. Some stuff ruined, some stuff pristine, some stuff worn etc. I genuinely believe it was hard work that brought the loot there :)

Bet that tacticool RDS is really essential for self defense purposes. Must be a living hell with millions of suspected robbers running by your house.

Jup that's what I was doing aswell. Just fill/refill the can a few times and put it into the truck so its full of fuel. Refill it again so you have a few litres on the fly.

I usually travel without a backpack and it fits nicely into a mountainbackpack. That such an alien concept to you? And if it takes you 30 hours to find ONE jerry can then you are just bad at it, sorry. While they are not common, they are far from being rare.

I cringe everytime when I read suggestions like huge shopping malls, golf courses etc or when people complain about the soviet feel and aesthetic, when this is exactly what the devs are going for and many people love for exactly this reason, because its not just another generic american suburb.

Just learn to dodge their hits which is very easy and aim for the head.

It's not hard to carry a spare fuel canister with you and most of the VS3s you can come across have at least around 10 litres in them - so I am not sure what you are rambling about? Drove almost 4 hours straight yesterday, all along the coast and through the inland. Was really fun!

This was the last nail in the coffin for me to uninstall the game for the time being. Not because I find the feauture 'wrong' but because it encourages people even more to be dicks to each other. I can imagine the special group of players who dont have any pubic hair growth yet shooting/eating others with their squeekvoice feeling 'badass'. No, thanks.

The music goes against the very vision the developers have in mind. I guess you have to wait for mods to include some (mostly horribly misplaced) music ingame. Placing music when and where (or not) is an art that many people underestimate. More and varied soundeffects and ambience loops would be very much appreciated though.

Players cant resurrect in DayZ since there are no undead or any undead curse. 'Zombies' are infected humans.

I am not trying to be judgemental here, but why do you willingly put yourself in a HUGE disadvantage using the pad in an enviroment where mouse/keyboard is the norm? Do you win some firefights?
