    A case for "classic" Zeds

    Well it would simply be a drain on ammo. But I would once again care about being detected by the zombies. I'd rather them stay fast but be able to attack you on the run and be able to navigate buildings fast. These two issues make the zombies harmless.

    I doubt the intent was to have all players shoot all other players on sight.
  5. I'd like to see the buckshot ammo removed, that rifle fires a .44 cartridge. For now just removing the pellet ammo from the game will make the rifle more realistic while also reducing overall ammo for it.

    Totally agree, the reason it's gravitating to PvP is because the only threat a zombie poses is the off chance they 1 shot you to the ground AND you get really unlucky with a long wait time to get back up, I've suffered death to this very annoying mechanic a few times. Even having no ammo is no issue, I've kited about 30 zombies for over a kilometer with out a worry in the world.

    M107 TWS removed.... or not???

    I feel like there should be no M107 at all, hardly fits a post apocalyptic eastern Europe. Maybe replace with the KSVK.

    How to see player names ingame?

    Disabling the cross hair removes this when aiming at a player, space bar scan removes it the way you described. Personally I think space bar should go and cross hair remain unless some other way of getting ID's is added. Ideal would be to have no on screen data (space bar scan/cross hair) but aiming at/very close to someone for specific amount of time depending on distance to player would show their name. Point blank it should show pretty much instantly, long range take a few seconds.

    They cannot use the A2 models for the bandit because they don't work with backpacks.

    As for ladders I don't climb high ones with out a primary weapon out, when you have a primary you transition much faster at the top.
  14. I've had this happen, looked around for ages, I think it clipped into the ground too far, they are fairly flat.

    DayZ Update 1.4.9

    All was fine for me until I shot a survivor and killed him, less than 1 second later the screen went black and it said it was getting character info from server. I left it there for 5-10 mins then disconnected, now I'm back to being stuck at loading screen. 1.4.9 manual install. Edit: I was on 1533 humanity at the time. Seems wrong given that 1 kill is meant to cost 30 points, I have killed 3 players since the system was added. It started at 2500, two kills brought it down to 1533. I've not healed anyone.

    I'd rather stability first and honestly 50 players is plenty. I have no issue finding ppl on 40 player servers.

    Yea servers keep going down, I just noticed that two different items were affected for this update but I was only using dayz code 1.4.3, only just got the v1.2 files now, was able to join before. Maybe that's causing issues?
  22. First 5 mins with this system in place, attacked by two separate players, killed them both and lost bout 1000 humanity for defending myself.
