there is no measure of good in real life for helping an old lady up if she falls over, but she says thank you and goes on with her day. you feel good about yourself and continue with yours. Says a lot about society when the concept of life is to only do good if you are given some sort of reward

When the game progresses further to Beta or to final release I do like the idea of having a more direct influence over character customization. I assume later on there may be more tools to create facial features/looks or what not, but what I think would look AMAZING is the ability to import your own face to appear on the character using some sort of extra tool in the character customization menu to upload your own photos. I myself am a 3D animator & video special fx artist so I know how UV mapping textures works and how you need a front photo and a side photo to maximize getting the look right, but I think it would make the game so much more personal for my player to be running around with my own likeness & i run into someone else who has their own face. It would then justify concealing your identity if you are a bandit, because at present when you peel that gas mask off and "oh my god its very white male again, he looks just like me" you kind of hope the survivors will look more random In fact below are what i knocked up of myself using a very simple and free program a few years ago. Yes the eyes are freaky as hell but they were the 3D representation and not my real eyes, the side view is a little more accurate. You get the idea.

lol and yeah if someone slapped a face of osama bin laden or hitler on their character you think you are being funny but what you are actually doing is putting an even bigger bullseye on your head. because who wouldnt wanna shoot osama in the face and teabag his corpse without pants on? So in all fairness the only person who suffers from this is the person wearing the face

Seriously number 2, trust me its important. This shit happens, and alough you met a liar, next time you may not. Whenever i see a post about someone who got shot and they take it personally and become bitter (and yes i see a lot) it just tilts the game further towards being a bandit dominated game only. You need an equal amount of both bandits and friendlies otherwise we all may just play call of duty deathmatches and be done with it.

Yesterday I was driving down the road and I kid you not Jack sparrow in full pirate gear, dreadlocks and eye make up walked across the road in front of me and saluted because i didnt run him over. This is an absolute true story & my Immersion in reality was shaken but I just turned to my wife and said "you dont see that every day." and continued on my way

Yeah thats kind of my point. If people want to play as camper sniping murderers why stop them? Its not realistic but you don't take all the guns out to prevent it If people only want to play with only wrenches while wearing underwear and a cowboy hat its not realistic & they look silly.... but why stop them?

damn, well that is a real annoying shame in all honesty. because of a small minority, the majority cant have nice things

Um you start off hungry, thirsty unarmed and weak. you are vulnerable, you are weaker and being a freshspawn is the hardest part of the game. As soon as you get a light green energized and a light green hydrated your player then begins "healing" even if you havent been injured because you start off unhealthy and only a few hits from a zombie will kill you

I remember back before i got Dayz I would read the Wiki to see all the features and one part explained blood bandits. Where a team of bandits would capture you, restrain you and keep you held in a barn as a living blood bank that they would drain as they so wish. The concept sounded terrifying and something from the Hostel films, but it intrigued me. Do people still do this or is it now a case that "ain't nobody got time fo dat" and just proceed to shoot on sight as they have a tight schedule to keep if they want to make it to NW airfield by tea time

to be an authentic and realistic zombbie apocalypse survival situation, you wouldn't have people killing all the last remaining survivors of humanity and camping out on a hill snipering people either. Sure you would get mugged, beaten and raped when the fall of law and order kicks in but thats just down to the players really

I'm actually expecting this time next year when we finally do get cars (im assuming) you will get people then moaning that they keep getting run over by players and just want to find servers without cars. Enter picard facepalm pic here

I was told (not sure if true) that if you left the game while handcuffed it killed you to prevent being robbed and abused. I would like to se a feature that stops you from exiting if you are restrained "Cannot leave game while restrained" just to further enhance the fact that when you have someone you HAVE them

I just like the idea that they don't even plan on using the blood, but just out of being evil and displaying dominance, drain blood from a poor victim just for the hell of it

playstation is better no xbox is better no pc is better it programs all games on all platforms and has evolving technology but xbox is better

I get the chainlink noise (wind maybe) i get the clunk noise of what sounds like a paint can or barrel falling over (wind maybe) I like the twigs breaking (deer maybe) But the churchbells have to go. The ambient noises heighten the paranoia and fear of not being alone and add to the tension of the game, but as said above, so long as it has a source and the church bells do not. That said One feature i would love to hear when passing near a town is the distant ambient sounds of zombies echoing in the skies. There is a part in resident evil 2 game when you get outside on top of the police station and you hear the sounds of zombie errily moaning in the distance echoed out by the wind and it was really chilling

I have played many games over the years, some scary, some that make you jump (outlast) and others that frustrate you because you never get the timing right and you die all the time, but Dayz is the ONLY game I have ever played where I am genuinly always on edge. You walk towards a town and you are always afrraid that someone is going to pop out and kill you. You may be able to scope out a townbefore moving in, but you can never shake that feeling that you are being watched, is there someone there, watching everything i do? did i check all the windows first before stepping out? The one incident i had a few days ago really put me on edge. I had been killed & all my mates were at the army camp south of the nw airfield, so i had a lot of ground to cover to get back to them before we were all due to link up again. So after a few days of scaveging and getting kit I finally made it there. I only had an sks with 5 rounds, but before spawning out i decided to check the barracks and the big military jail building first. One of the main things i do when on my own is close doors behind me, because when you see a door open you immediatly becoime cautious as this means someone is nearby or someone is still inside. So anyway I'm in the 2nd barracks room (all doors closed) then suddenly some guy burst through the door. He then kind of panics as he wasn't expecting a guy to be in here, he jumps back, I jump back (Cornered in this room) and he starts opening fire. I didnt have my headset on so i couldn't tell him i was friendly, but by this point it wouldnt of mattered. The guy makes 3 attempts to run past my door and spraying the room with his M4 and somehow misses me with every shot. I tried to return fire with my sks & I swear i must have winged him, but now I hear the deadmans click. I got no ammo, I got no other weapon & im cornered in teh barracks with some guy toting an M4. Its taken me 3 days to get back here where my friends are and now THIS happens. I kid you not My heart was beating out of my chest & my hands were shaking like I was having a fit, almost to the point where i couldn't hold the mouse. This game was the only game ever to put me in such a real life panic that I was geniunly afraid & didn't want to die. I was quite embarresed to be honest as its just a game... but it didnt feel like that at the time. So bak to the story, I'm cornered in the room, unarmed and vulnerable. Then i hear the sound of a gun reloading, so I don't think, I dont hesitate, I get up and i run, but i got it on free look and walk so im panic pressing the keys to get myself into a proper sprint and i make it out into the corridor, I don't see him, but i know hes there, I then sprint to the door and make it outside, I don't hear a shot, but i dont look back. I then sprint to some of the closed sheds in the area and i dont stop, I keep running and get out of view. I reach the perimeter wall and open the main gate. After this i run up the dirt track that has a bunch of trees going along side it and i keep running til I make quite a bit of distance. I then drop prone, hide in the bushes and i wait. I look and in the distance i see the player run out from behind the concrete wall and hes scanning. I do not move an inch, relying only on freelook to minimise any sudden movements that will attract his eye. He lost me. I should not have survived this encounter, but somehow I did & i think i injured him in the process. He turns around and runs off away from me and the base. And this is why Dayz is the most scary & tense game there is. I jumped out the game after that just to calm down a bit.

Please tell me you have reported said website to the Devs because doing nothing is just as bad as letting them win. At least if the devs get hold of the executable they may be able to dissect it and see the code used and add it to battle eye. this way any fool who pays the money to get it will get really pissed off when they get globally banned for the privelige. No doubt they will cry to staff begging to be unbanned and say they didnt do anything wrong blah blah blah, but if they got it and battle eye detects it they are caught bang to rights and they lose $15 as well as the cost of dayz too

but you wont trash a car just in case the driver one day gets in and tries to run you over, so.... But yeah, the best way to not be a target or look like a target is to wear non military clothes, do not wear a mask or cover your face and stick to pistols that you keep in your bag. If you are seen carrying rifles and axes, people see this as a direct threat, but if you are carrying concealed weapons you can draw them at a seconds notice when some bambi with fists or an axe decides to become a hero. "Hey, you brought an axe to a gun fight dumbass.Should have decided to behave, now your dead"
