Using the wallet to identify players/hackers
archamedes replied to archamedes's topic in Suggestions
but the current system makes it impossible to identify players who hack, having an actual way to report them officially would be a big benefit, Saying you don't agree with big brother watching over you, tells me you have something to hide. Don't know if you are aware or not, but if you jump into a dayz game with other players in, you can actually go into steam and see who you recently played with, all those people in that server will show up in your steam "recently played with" list, if one of those players is a hacker, wouldn't it be nice to know WHICH one from seeing his ID? -
How are we supposed to play the game right now?

Developers aren't really interested in your opinion of the game or what you think of it, they have an idea of the game they want to make and they are making it their way. The point is they want our feedback on bugs, issues and problems so they can fix them, what doesn't help anyone is when people whine and complain that the bugs are ruining their pew pew pew time. Sure if you had an issue that killed you or bugged out the game, report it, but report the issue without complaining and whining that they quit or insulting the dev teams efforts, because not only is this counter productive, but they aren't interested in hearing your rants and demands.Whats worse is when people come on here whining about how a bug killed them and they don't even bother to report it to the official bug tracker thread. How is anything going to get fixed if they aren't given the right feedback? This alongside people who seem convinced they were killed by a hacker because they walked past a tower and didnt hear a gunshot, so it HAD to have been a hacker, right, right? -
The one police car that spawns in 49...
archamedes replied to Parazight's topic in General Discussion
the point im trying to make is and I'm sure people will correct me if I'm wrong, but it was my understanding that police cars were new bonus spawn vehicles just like Heli crashes, meaning they appear randomly on the map in each server session. -

can you honestly say you have run down every road, through every town on the entire map during the whole server session before restart in order to make that claim? Also done the same thing on several different servers as well? -

man are people still complaining about this development build we paid to beta test? Seriously its getting old. If I was Dean I would lock down all the servers, stop the public using it and allow a select few to test it while they develop it in peace, just to shut some of you whining man children up, then you would have to wait until the game does get released a year or two from now just to make you happy so you then have your Completed bug free game to enjoy. The one thing that really annoys me is inpatient people who AGREED to test an alpha build that isn't even an actual game, and start throwing their toys out their pram, and expecting unrealistic results NOW. Then you get the idiots that accuse bohemia of robbing you because they aren't working fast enough for you. Try actually looking into game development, and educate yourself on how the actual process works, its not 5 people sitting in a room all doing bug fixing. You have 3d modellers, people who convert and add textures, making sure the UVW co ordinates match up fine, you have programmers, coders, animaters, script writers and yes bug fixers. All these people have a lot on their plate right now and they don't take kindly to their hard work getting slammed by the inpatient kids that misunderstood what they signed up for when they agreed to the terms and conditions. Alternatively try handing in a CV at bohemia so you can actually contribute to the project if you think you can do better and move this project along any faster. If not then shut up, bug report where needed and stop whining. -

1. zombie dead bodies seem to stay in game longer before they vanish which is interesting when you come to a town and find corpses lying around, it gives you the impression that you are folloing in someones footsteps 2. Random doors opened/closed. Again this is a GOOD one. Now you have no idea if someone has looted a building or not and you can't judge a town by the doors being all closed making it even more tense than before 3. not sure if it was a bug my end as i didn't see this issue raised in the Changelog, but now if you want to use a sewing kit on damaged clothes you actually have to remove the damaged item first. It said that it fixed my clothes when i was wearing them, but the condition never changed until i took them off first -
I have 2 seperate hard drives and i have the stable on one and im installing experimental on my other one. If I play on the experimental server is it going to affect my character and position when i come back to play on the stable version or will it create a whole new character? Reason I ask this is because I don't want the experimental character to move away from where i am in the stable version, and if i pick up an experimental item I imagine that would cause issues on stable

Oh my god this is so shit, I can't believe this unfinished painting looks as bad as it does. I am going to complain because I want this painting to look amazing while im looking at it. Yes this is you people

to be fair, if this was a closed project with funding and the only progress anyone got to see of dayz was a bunch of screenshots or a few teaser videos updated once every 3 months or so, none of the whining man children on here would have anything to bitch about. the fact that they opened it to the public is a generous and awesome treat many dont seem to fully appreciate

I want to be able to play by living in the wilderness off the land without havinbg to rely too much on going into towns for instance Make my own bags, bows and arrows etc... and obviously at the moment you only make a fire by using matches, but i would like to see more ways to light a fire, by using sticks (kindling) rub them together the old fashion way, or use glasses with the sun to start a fire. and in order to cut trees down, craft a hatchet using a stick, rope and a stone.
-
I know, i was only thinking in terms of not relying on having to go in to a town to find one

title says it all, we were a 7 man team and somehow got picked off one by one by an organised group of players, then respawned at berezino where we were attacked by 2 naked russians who were insane and all about the rape

so what are your thoughts about the buggy AI of the game? Are they they Zombies in the true sense that they are dead and reanimated or are they the living infected? Not that it makes any difference to gameplay or how we deal with them, but how do you see them?
-
indeed. I sometimes zone out a lot and drift into my own world where im in an apocalypse & think to myself "what would i really do if faced with my wife or my son after they turned?" its easy in hind sight to say "Fuck it, this is survival, they are finished" then blow their heads off, but when you have that emotional connection and you know the only thing you can do is either leave them or shoot them, there is that little voice inside your head that stops you and reminds you that these are your family, what if they can be saved? The most upsetting vision i get is the thought that my 8 year old son is turned into infected but hes outside the house. The thought of him being infected is really a chocker, but what rally pulls my heartstrings as a father is that hes out there on his own, in the dark. He's autistic and afraid of being on his own abd afraid of the dark. This is the real shit only parents can relate to, and when you zone back in and realize that its all fantasy you feel a little better.

I was thinking of putting together a comic of Dayz I have made quite a few, one of which has been submitted to Image comics and awaiting review (see pics below) and I do have my own website with a variety of different comics in many different art forms http://dj-comics.com/comics/ So my question is, how would people feel about a Dayz Comic & what would you like for the back story on how it all started? I like the idea that the crashed ship in Rify brought the infection and all the sailors were sick and crashed on chernarus. Then after a while everything goes dark & a team of CDC type scientists are sent to check out whats going on, and everything goes haywire & our main character is left stranded here and has to figure out whats happened, meet other survivors, deal with bandits and all the like, but with an actual Story put in place to make it more interesting. What do you think? Also the below pics are from my recent comic thats going in for publication

In terms of copyrights it depends on company to company but so long as you don't gain any revenue from making it they are usually thankful for the free publicity. I did the official comic for frontier: elite 2 (Classic pc game from 1992) and the forum went mad, I released it for free and by the time I made all 5 comics it had been translated into 10 different languages and had ended up on numerous elite websites with thousands of recorded downloads so I must have done something right

I did the art and the story but used a writer/friend that helped me with the dialogue

have you seen what russian people wear in some of the lower class areas? I think they got the clothes looking just right in all honesty. The game just needs a bunch of old ladas with dashcams on standby

I don't know whats up but today I have had nothing but problems with Dayz. After 20 minutes of playing no matter what server im on, I suddenly get the "no message recieved for (Counter)" at first i assumed it was my bad luck joining servers that are due to reset but it is literally happening o every server now. I got caught out in svet earlier, by the time i could log back in I had 2 zombies attacking me before i could do anything and just now I ended up getting into contact with another player and the second i started firing again I get the " no message recieved."

Frankly I don't see what the fuss is all about, looking all over the net I see why people keep saying its a bad idea. So what if it is? It's not going to ffect your pc gaming in the slightest, if you don't want it on a console, then don't buy it on a console, simple. I can see a few plus sides to a ps4 port... - firstly anyone who is running a laptop or low end pc will get to see the game in full detail hopefully, so long as they don't reduce that on final release. - The ps4 has a laptop mouse style pad so I can imagine using that in the inventory panel could help, but I do find it a bit too sensitive sometimes, unless i need to change that in settings - No hackers. I'm assuming there won't be anyway. - if there are any unfixed bugs on final release you can get ps4 updates and fixes too.

Have to disagree with everything there. He is in 2 seperate videos where he met hackers in dayz, one was glitching all over the place and he made it clear he wasn't happy with the hacking community ruining the game, another video he killed a player that had an m4 with hacked mags and he threw it into the nearest bush he could find. And horrible innacuracy in slamming Dayz? Come on man, you need to wake up a little and actually listen to what he's saying instead of sitting there like a stubborn kid with his fingers in his ears saying "no no no, I don't like you and I don't want to hear what you have to say." Most of what he said in his recent survive the night video was spot on. Just seems to me that people get jealous because his youtube subs are through the roof and he can make a nice living off the youtube monetization he gets. So people decide to bitch and moan about him because they can't be as successful
