Hacked or Duped? Duping can turn 1 M4 into dozens in no time, there's no way to tell the difference from the original. Duping is an exploit, doesn't alter or chance the games files, so you can't be banned for using one that's been duped. Really looking forward to the day these "Holes" are plugged and these conversations are had in the past tense......

I can understand what Mercules is saying. IF you have a fully geared guy, approaching strangers saying, "Howdy stranger, would you like to go sardine can hunting with me?" is a pretty sure fire way to be having to respawn in 60 seconds. I DO understand the principle to unarm a player you catch by surprise, in order to remove the risk of getting blown away when all you want to do is ensure your safety while engaging another player.

Hey, at LEAST their theatrics gives you a chance to kick their asses...... I ran into a couple guys on the eastern outskirts of Berezino, in the train station the other night. I was starving and finally found a potato that I could eat. As I was getting my daily dose of starch, a fully geared guy comes in and doesn't say anything. I said Hi, and he just steps to the side and his buddy comes in brandishing a rotten zucchini. He offers to "Pleasure me" while his buddy starts closing doors... I knew where this was going, so I ran at him and punched him in the head twice, he asked why I punched him and I said, b/c you're threatening to sodomize me with a zucchini, then I ran out the remaining open door. All I heard him say was....don't punch me, I just want to give you pleasure, come back, we won't kill you" I yelled back as I was huffin it around the building "NOT TODAY, WIERDO" Fortunately I escaped these two green thumbs. Either way, I was ready to die that day...................

Default settings would be easier for sure, but in the mean time.......... You will need to uninstall the game, go into file explorer and delete any remnants there, as well as user settings and delete any instance of the games data there. Run registry cleaner just to be sure, THEN re-install the game. Everything should be like the day you first launched DayZ

It's an addon for Arma 2 so it shouldn't be too difficult to implement. It would be pretty sweet to be able to peak out of doors, but it would be equally awesome to be able to shoot through those same wooden doors.

My gameplay is smooth, I haven't tested my FPS but I have NEVER had any issues in ANY of the locations My issues, when I have them, seem to have been ALL server related. (Rubber banding/desynch) AMD FX8350 Asus Crosshair v formula-z XFX HD7970 x2 32Gb Ram Win 7 Pro

I'm guessing the reason you didn't find any ammo at the NWAF Base is because the 20,000+ OTHER people doing the exact same thing as you, server hopping. If you weren't server hopping it would take maybe 15 minutes to scour the base, so the "couple hours" statement makes this a pretty clear case of server hopping. You SHOULD feel bad about Server Hopping for loot. Hopefully you're starting to see the problem here.........................................

As cool as that sounds, I see it being used as a platform to spew racist and homophobic remarks to everyone within earshot........I hear enough of that already in-game from pre-pubescent children...not sure giving them a loudspeaker is a good idea :lol:

I guess he means your character would be server specific. I could foresee a huge number of issues stemming from that idea though. Would the host server keep track of who has what character? If so, then there would be admins exploiting that data. If it was client side, it would be exploited by players and If they were kept on a central server, then it would need to keep track of, at minimum, 2,000,000*x servers, all of them constantly changing. requiring massive resources. Global loot restrictions would be impossible, but so would benefitting from server hopping. I think there's a better way to deal with server hoppers, like temp bans for joining a server, picking up items, then switching within a few minutes, grabbing items, switching, looting, switching , looting. Do it like 3x in a row and you earn yourself a 24 hr ban..... UNLESS the server crashes and you wait out the timer.

Hacked mags aka "Unlimited Ammo" OR Duped mags? Duping is alive and well, I met a player who was inside prison wall at the NEAF Base, before the last update, why he didn't kill me I'll never know, maybe he was lonely lol....he showed me how to get inside the wall, then he showed me how to dupe his gear. I thought , how sad is this? I really do hope they fix it soon, that , and the use item exploits.
