Absolutely. There are two games I can safely say I've gotten my money's worth tenfold. Minecraft and DayZ SA. If you can deal with the random bugs and script-kiddies and realize this game is a work-in-progress, it's the best money you'll ever spend on a game. I've played nearly 1000 hours now and there has never been a certain instance that made me think the game wasn't worth it. I've died randomly from glitches, had my character wiped and had my gear stolen by some kid who bought some "l33t hax" with his mom's credit card. I still get on almost nightly and meet up with my friends and patrol the land of Chernarus.

I love the mosin. The stopping power seems to be pretty unreliable but it hits hard. I usually take an SKS+PU scope over it, mostly because I play in Svetlo where few shots are over 100 meters. Would love to have a better sniper. Even if it's bolt-action, I just want more reliable stopping power. Pretty sure if someone took a 7.62x51mm round to an unprotected torso, they should drop. The number of times I've had to shoot a new spawn with the mosin and have them survive and continue to punch me is staggering.

My first moments were far from this interesting. Spawned in and spent about 10 minutes trying to loot cabinets. Then realized the game was a bit loud in my headphones. Went to adjust volume and heard the audio cues used to adjust volume. Didn't realize they were audio cues so I nearly defecated myself and quickly went prone. Tried talking to the non-existent player who I heard "shooting". Realized my mistake and walked up to Berry. Looted for a bit and ran into my first player. I called out to him, he shot me. End of sad story. Cut to 700+ hours later. Talking to a friend in TS3 and he went to adjust his volume since the trucks are so loud now. He heard the cues and immediately started panicking. Glad to know someone with 700+ hours can still make the mistake I made within my first hour.

Not entirely sure. There's servers that spawn stuff. Some that don't. Some that will have a gun/backpack exactly where I dropped it two days later. And most of those are high-pop PvP servers, so they aren't persistent. Some of the game mechanics confuse the hell out of me.

Reddit tried with their own subreddit, but unfortunately that hasn't really caught on either.

To the jerk who thought it was smart to open fire on three of us as we were drinking from the well at NWAF: What the hell were you thinking?! Thanks for the gear though. If you had only tried to talk to us, you could have kept your two AKs and 300+ rounds of ammo. (In his defense, he did kill one and knock the other out.)

I have 800 hours played and have fired various guns in real life. I still freak out when I hear shots when I'm out in the open. My first instinct, for whatever reason, is to push my mouse up, which causes my character to look up into the sky like an idiot. My hands are usually steady but my legs shake for a bit. Just shows how immersed you can get into this game.

I figured. My group is usually in Svet on Hardcore and we've never came across any of that. But a few nights in Berezino on Regular and ran into them non-stop. Have to admit, it's nice taking out a group of 5-6 of them with only a few friends. Granted, they probably get that modded stuff back right away but it's still rewarding.

So my group, mostly consisting of older guys who play just to rewind at the end of the day, recently decided to check out Berezino. I knew it was a lot busier than the towns we're used to, but we wanted a change. We've played that town the past 3 nights, and every single time we logged on, we came across a group of hackers. Usually it's just the little kids with the infinite ammo M4 mags. They are usually terrible and we've taken out a few groups of those. Yesterday though, we came across an equally terrible group but with hacked gear I haven't seen before. Ammo boxes basically spawned in to be utilized as protector cases. Ammo box inside an ammo box, which has two protector cases inside that, which has more ammo boxes inside that. On top of that, they had the usual M4 mag and also an SKS stripper clip with 30,000 rounds in it. And then we ran across the weird weapon-stealing hackers that then killed my friends. So that's the end of my rant/experience in Berezino. So, to give this post some depth, I have a question. Is it just Berezino or are these kids (and I say kids because they always seem to be 13 years of age or around there) elsewhere? Would kind of like to avoid them, though it's fun killing them over and over again.

Ladders suck. I know you weren't asking me, but they've broken my legs/killed me numerous times for no reason. I avoid them like the plague.

There is a police station, 5 story office building and a hospital. If you come in from industrial side, go about two streets into it then cut left. You should see police station somewhere around there. Not very descriptive I know, but it's there. But yeah, not a fan of the town. WAY too many buildings that some clan could randomly be crammed inside with no way to countersnipe.

No, the two new Northern big towns are in. The massive one in the valley and then the smaller one above it. That big one is sniper's heaven though.

So with the new towns and spawns, I was just curious what everyone's hometown/favorite town is. Also, where people seen other players at the most. I'm assuming Berezino is bumpin' and I'm sure the airfields are a buzz, just curious about the towns.

Must be maintenance. Thought it was Wednesday nights though. Kind of pissed but oh well. It's gotta happen.
