I might add also that i would prefer more civilian weapons over military ones. Less spray and pray, more making each bullet count. Shotgun and a bolt action rifle should play main role as weapon imo.

Zombies as for now do not require team work of anykind to be beaten, also many of us including me get very bored if only goal is to survive in the woods. Too easy. It is a pvp game because it is an epic pvp game. I hope it would have more survival stuff in it but i certainly hope pvp will never dissapear.

Starting to think I'm too nice of a player.

Sometimes i too feel i am too friendly player, but my goal is not to have as many kills as possible but to have fun and most fun comes from meeting new players. Ofc i have learned to avoid groups with automatic weapons etc, but the only kills i really enjoy are the ones where i was shot at first but i defended myself successfully. If i accidentally shoot unarmed friendly player i feel really bad and do everything to help him if possible... If you dont communicate, just shoot, you will miss much funny moments. Imo. -
Happened to me aswel. Consider that as a luckiest respawn in the game...

I really dont get the point of bambi killing.

We are! I am atleast, no denying that, If you think poor player as a dead player. I die all the time. That said, we get very fun sessions which is the ultimate goal to me. And that said, i have never been killed or knocked down by a bambi without me taking a well known risk. They never have jumped on me out of nowhere. So bambis are harmless if you keep certain distance to them and you do not trust them, but in sake of gameplay experience, i urge you to trust them sometimes.Edit: correction, i was once, on my early hours, knocked down by a bambi who out of nowhere tried to loot me, i woke up and the bambi was dead, i shot him just before i was knocked down. But this happened when i did not pay much attention what was happening around me. And that is vital skill in DayZ if you want to stay alive as we all know. -

Me and my friend were once looted by an unarmed dude, but he really took some effort for it. We met him, we helped him and we were very cautious with him, long story short, over time we started to trust him more and more and then it happened.. Knocked my friend down and stole the gun and killed us both :D .. At first we were angry but mostly to ourselves, it was our fault and must give credit to his backstabbing dedication. I have made many new DayZ friends to play with by being friend with a bambi, one reason more not to kill bambies. Sometimes it will backfire on you but it is just loot you lose in a game. For me, good gameplay stories are more important than continuous killing of another players. And boy, you really get some good stories and memories on DayZ... And on many cases i was the one who got killed in the end. -

Just do not let them come too near you. If bambi kills an armed guy then it is a justified kill from a bambi, and i give them my respect. You are poor player in my mind if you let bambis knock you down. It requires more balls to analyze another players rather than shoot any moving pixels on screen. Killing a bambi because you dont trust him is a poor excuse and is not much of an achievement... But your choice.. -
Yeah, apocalypse is hell :D Maybe the LR scope should require a screwdriver for attachment/adjustment?
-
First.. I would like to see more binoculars... And less long range scopes. And the long range scope should be adjusted and paired with each gun to be accurate, meaning you should fire the weapon few times which would use ammo of course and could give away your position if done in a wrong place. Also, little cool detail would be ant nests next to trees. This would help you determine south as ants tend to make their nests south-southeast from a tree.

I also hate the bambikillers unless it is is done for a good reason, like bambi trying to knock you down etc. I have absolutely nothing against killing armed people though. The good gunfights are the only reason currently why i play this game.. Unarmed "enemies" are not much of a enemies... I like to help them, even if i am pretty sure they will kill me as soon as they get geared.. But that is more than ok to me. Once i shot a guy with a weapon but saved the guy next to him since he had no weapons... Alas, he chose to grab the weapon to his hands, so i killed him. This is how i play this game as of now. Unless i see heroism from a guys with a gun.. Which is rare these days -
Yes, but as of now the 5.56 is the most easiest ammotype to be found in large quantities. And more ammo makes you more dangerous -> excessive ammunition is provocating people to shoot on sight even more. (in my mind atleast). I have nothing against assault rifles per se, as long as there are not much ammunition for them.. but if ammo for assault rifles would be super rare, then the whole gun is rather useless. There's another statement to be made too on my behalf: I find it extremely boring to see military uniforms, helmets and guns. I'd love an apocalyptic feeling with the sense people really wear what they have found, rather than masturbating how cool would they look on military uniform. Hey that's maybe just me...

You are missing the point. First of all, as of now, this is the game's nature: Lots of ammo and lots of M4's lying around, not much else to do, i totally understand people are playing ARMA DM rather than DayZ. Change the nature of the game by guns that are slow to use. slow fire rate and ammunition should be more rare. I think some sort of DM should always be on the game, but i'd prefer an apocalyptic DM rather than Arma DM. Yes, i do want to kill M4 guys on sight, but that is just my one man protest against mil-gear + as i said i love a good gunfight. If you gear up so hostile, why shouldn't i have right to shoot you? And to be perfectly clear. I LIKE the fact you are allowed to do what you want. If you want to kill freshspawns on sight, then do so, you are free to do so, although i find that extremely against the spirit of the game and only as something what 12yo kid with ego-problems would do.

Hi ya all. Been playing Dayz for a while now and mostly enjoyed it. I love to help others, i love to be helped, but i also love a good gunfight between players. I never kill an unarmed person if he does not threat me, but if i'd see a full-mil-gear player with his/her m4 on hand, i will shoot on sight. At least try to :3 ... Since there are so many people who only seem to see this as a DM game and various other reasons, i would really love to see military gear to be either very very very super rare, or removed altogether. Including composite helmets, vests and assault rifles etc. In my mind this game would be perfect if you could find just shotguns, old bolt-action hunting rifles (with or without scope), pistols, revolvers and maybe semi-auto rifles (hunting ones with small clip) on a very rare occasions. After all, we are playing DayZ, not Arma. I really love a good gunfight, and people who want to kill everyone on sight are mostly OK, (except the ones who shoot unarmed people for no reason etc), but please make the ability to shoot the gun matter! One time i was killed by a guy who had to empty half of his/hers rounds with his M4 before he actually hit me leathally. So, make each bullet count. Make ability to use the gun count. I don't want to die because some 12yo kid has made a trip to an airfield before me and he will kill me (barely) with 30 5.56mm rounds.
