higher GPU usage is GREAT. that means your CPU is no longer bottle necking your GPU, you are maxing on GPU usage because you are A) not limiting your FPS, or B ) have your graphic options set too high. in a perfect world (ie mantle ect working) all gpus will be strained 100% unless fps is capped. Here is a example for you. http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=8065 Look at the two images i submitted. you can see that on one i have 93% usage and other is 97-99%, that is because i use 1/2 adaptive vsync (i play with 120hz on dayz, asus 278he display), basically a fps cap of 60.

Change Shadows from Very low / low to Normal. seems to be a bug, but HUGE performance increase.

Has anyone notices the lack of loot and char not saving? -- Fresh server restart.. i run straight to Pusta not yet looted, i find one can of food got super lucky and found a screw driver. fill up at well. run to Mogilevka, again not looted yet. check every single building in the town, find 1 box of cereal, and one can of food. eat both. still hungry. run to Guglovo, search whole town (not looted all closed doors) NO food. nothing. die of starvation on my way to novy. This has to be a bug?

i personally think that you should be able to choose your spawn location, everyone kills them selves over and over until they spawn where they want anyway

did you buy the retail or the steam version of the game?

just make sure you verify both arma 2 and arma 2 oa, then open arma 2 first, before oa, open oa, then try six launcher

just download six launcher, and run the game that way

perfect, what that means is steam detected it downloaded a file wrong, and it will automatically download and fix that file, soon as the game says up to date, its all good, go ahead and try to join a server again. no problem, happy hunting

i agree with you, i launch beta via the cmd with the launch options in steam so my vent and my overlay works, but i was going for the simplest method vs complicated. not to mention the fact that he gets kicked from servers means he probably has a corrupt game file and or dayz mod it self is not installed properly and six launcher would detect that and overwrite the bad file with the newest correct one.

six - launcher (what comes with six updater, is much easier than any other method ), you click a server hit check files, then hit play, it launches the game and joins the server. only issue i know of with six launcher, is that it wont play well with vent, but atleast it will let him experience the mod.
