I am not saying it is a bad idea, just saying that there may a problem if parts could be salvaged
-
Only problem I can see from this suggestion (which is a good one), is that the vehicles spawning with wheels etc.. would become farming sources for parts by the groups, then you would be back to how it is now, except those with the vehicles will be gaining easy parts without having to go hunting for them. Salavage the parts, destroy the vehicle wait for respawn, rinse and repeat.

Thank You R4ZOR49

So what is the actual percentage chance of these spawning?
-
Hi, I just got to point out about the padlock and how rare they are to find. I would like to suggest that they become a little bit rarer by either adding new locations or increasing the chances of spawning. As it stands it is kinda ridiculous that people can pick up sachels charges to destroy bases than they can find locks to secure bases. Defeats the whole object of having a base, or even introducing basebuilding. I mean 6 people continuously looting the castles for three days for up to 4 -6 hours each, and not one Padlock. This is silly. Thank you O-B

when dismantling the gates, I have noticed there is no return of component parts. Is this meant to be?

8. Hero skin is gone after a hero dies and respawns. He is stuck with survivor skin unless we fix it in the database. I have found that changing clothes, giving painkillers/morphine etc... changes back to hero skin no need to edit dB

When scouting/looting and come across a camping tent, take it and carry it with you. it takes 3 slots and worth every slot. should you become infected, or your blood reduced, find a nice wooded area and pitch the tent, then choose "rest". this will fight infection and regenerate your health quicker. The important thing to be aware of, is you are vunerable, try to find an area that cannot be seen at distance. essential tools: Hatchet, Hunting knife, Matches, water bottle, empty tin can, 1 string and 1 ducktape and a map. The string you craft splints -- no need for constantly finding morphine and entering potentially hostile areas. The duck tape to repair your hatchet and waterbottles. stick to small towns and villages, until you find enough basic equipment. In Short: Spawn, essential items,, get the hell outa town. until you have established your survival skills. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I have just taken notice of the backpack, and your either playing epoch or overpoch not dayzmod. so this may not be your issues.

This is a problem that has been increasing in occurence, since the last update. I have this problem also, thought it was my machine so in uninstalled arma/arm2/dayzmod, also updated my graphics drivers, and peripheral drivers, sound etc.... it still occurs. Then another player was maoning about screen freeze and tab out of the game also, to find the same porblem. As time has passed over the past couple of weeks the error is becoming more apparenent with more players, and windows is always reporting the same memory values, on the different error situations. I have been trying to pin point the problem, I thought it was a gfx rendering but it also happens when transfering gear from vehicles and tents when there is no more available slots, so to me rules out gfx (a laymans view). I then thought it was the base building issue as it only happens in the proximity to my newly constructed camp fences. However, my camp is in the woods so a second thought was something to do with the trees(if all else blame the trees).. Another thought was that the increased buildable items, plus the deployables (tents & stashes) may be causing a bottleneck with the objects table and the database. I thought it was only happening on the server i play on, but this now confirms that it may be a bigger issue with the latest update, considering there is a problem with the harvesting of wood, maybe something has been chaged in the update that is broken. At the moment, i have been observing how many people are mentioning this. i have searched google and, all i have come up with is that it is a faulting/corrupt coding. As I am no programmer or expert i cannot take this further, as there are no traces on the event logs in windows. For now, I am not filling tents/stashes to max, and stopping vehicles 100m from the base waiting for 2mins then continuing on, this seems to have improved the situation, but then it is a random happening so only time will tell.

Problem is with building on to existing structures in my view, is that building are a natural loot magnet, so I wouldn’t build in such a way (personally). The lone wolf building is not impossible it just requires a little persistence and time. Lots of nails, and wood (much harder with the trees now, I think this a recognised issue), the spawning of logs and planks do help to some degree. I do find the metal fences take a lot of resources to build, one example being 8 rusty sheet metal just to get it beyond the lvl 3, along with four corrugated steel, then only 2 sheet steel at lvl 5 to me gives an unbalanced natural feel to building. With more sheet steel spawning than rusty sheet steel, leaving me with 98 sheet steel and no rusty sheet steel to get the fence finished. Maybe a small adjustment needed in the loot spawn ratios or combine the two steels earlier on. One thing, that is happening, is that trading with friendly players has sped up the base building process for me and others (for example nails for stannags, metal for vehicle parts etc....). Al the loot I collect I don’t need I pass on to someone who does, in return for the building supplies that I need.

No I do not "just want to complian" as you put it. The humanity system has been done to death. The devs have said in other posts they will be looking at it. The humanity Topic has been going on in every update, not just 1.8.3. and if you read my post correctly I have asked what people's thoughts on the building system and other aspects of the update. So in your bitching at me for not changing the subject or starting a conversation is pure ignorence on your part Mr.. (yes i can insult people also).
-
So, is humanity the only aspect of 1.8.3? all i read in this thread is the same old thing about what defines a good person and a bad person, and it has kinda hyjacked the thread. The humanity system is flawed because it is based on a civilised concept in a world that has lost the the civilised structure. the discussion will contiue for ever without a balanced conclusion, because only those who find it difficult to be a "hero" seem to be discussing it... Play the game, help poeple, kill people, choose your own path. Why do you need to wear a badge? To me the endgame is surviving as long as i posibley can between deaths, the rest is just filling time. What about the other features that have acutally been impletmented in the update, (apart from the known problems)? what about the building system? the metal fences, the wooden fences, and all the stuff laid out in the update thread? I dont see any conversations about these aspects. Sorry, but getting fed up of reading about a small aspect of the mod and one sided views.

How long is a piece of string? The food requirement is dependent upon the actions you undertake within the game. For example: Sitting in a vehicle doing nothing your food intake will be minimal Runing all the time will deplete your food quicker refueling a heli can take you from full food level to nothing. Basically the more activities you do the more energy you use, the more you need to replace the energy. Same principle as Real life. You sit playing dayz for 5hrs you do not use much energy, whereas you dig for 5hrs, you will use up your energy stores and need to eat and drink.... Advice would be to keep a check on the activities you do ingame and note which are more energy consuming...
