So i Jumped in a Sakhal server called Pve yesterday had a lil wonder and then left, i went to go to another server and its saying i cant join that server because im already logged into another server, even tho we have always been able to join multiple community servers. My issue now is that i can not find the server that was called "Pve" maybe its changed its name, but its impossible for me to find it. This nowmeans i can not play ANY community servers until i find this server and kill my character in it. This new bug is killing this game for me, i hold ZERO hope that any mod or admin will even give a crap about it but i was hoping that anyone who reads it may know who owned the "Pve" server and what they changed the name to.

He opens with "i would normally do this in private" and then proceeds to publicly out BI in quite a brutal manner all because he doesnt like their "direction". DayZ has ALWAYS had idiotic changes that usually get reverted back to something similar to how it was before unless it works, vehicles have had a back and forth forever and so have Zeds, at least they're trying something different, its ok to not like it to the point that you feel compelled to comment but IMHO to publicly out a game to which you have made a pretty healthy online career from is just down right disrespectful and smacks of a little attention seeking. Why not keep it private as you have before, telling the masses does nothing other than put you in the center of a debate for attention.

No one knows yet, its killed all the servers so we cant play

Can we PLEASE get an update as to whats happening for consoles, we that have already purchased the DLC are still not able to play due to the servers not being available, we keep getting BIOS errors and "unexpected response format" messages when trying to search for a server. any feedback would be better than silence, its been hours with no news. (whilst PC are twitch streaming their games i might add)

Update just dropped, Frostline available and downloaded, but now the Servers are offline LOL! not sure how long this will last, anyone else getting the same?

Base building is being made redundant by people being able to get pushed under the map and swimming to position below a base to log and log back in inside that base, now I realise it would be hard to secure the entire map to prevent this. Solution: Just make it so character dies if they log out while swimming, there is no logical reason you would ever log out while swimming other than if you are glitching, and for those who get dashboarded while swimming? well id say its minimal enough to chalk that up to collateral damage, plus it would add some needed peril to swimming.

Its been reported for many years and never fixed, this suggestion does not work.

Im not sure of the reason but iv experienced this in the past, i would go to dashboard and fully close/quit the game and re start it, this usually fixed it.

1.Yes it happens on the one server play on, unfortunately i haven't tried any other official servers as im searching for vehicles and do not really want to lose my log in location 2.timing is random, iv had it on my first log in of the day but also late in the evening after logging in several times that day 3."fixes itself" meaning i dont feel like i contributed to fixing it by doing anything my side, it merely starts working again after time, how long i can not say as some times i will try again after 10 minutes and it will work, others iv left it a few hours before retrying.

Mine only happens in official servers, its happening daily and sometimes multiple times daily. there is no specific locale for this as iv been all over the map looking for a truck. It most recently happened in the last 20 minutes i managed to log in fine and was just leaving MBVMC walking in a fairly open field area and the game crashed, from that point on when i try to open the server it counts don from 15 but dashboards before it starts. On all occasions i have still been able to log into a community server with no issues. on a few occasions, after iv tried the community server i can then go back to the official and it will sometimes work, like just now for instance, i was able to log into the official server after trying and leaving the community server, however with in less than 20 steps the game crashed again and now continues to dashboard at the end of each 15 second countdown. Most of the times this has happened it has not been an in game crash that starts it, but it usually starts from just trying to start a game and it counts down 15 seconds then dashboards. but as stated above today has been a mix of in game crashes and 15 second countdown dashboarding. Im playing on an Xbox Series X with open NAT internet at an average of 75mbps download and 25mbps upload. Update: after waiting for 10 minutes on dashboard and trying again i was able to open the server and lasted maybe 1 minute before it crashed, i then tried a hard restart of my console, the first attempt at opening the server after this failed, dashboarding after the 15 second timer, i then waited a few minutes and tried again, this time i was successful but once again only managed to walk for about 30 seconds until the game crashed. Today has been the worst its been since i first noticed it last week.

Im also getting this atleast once a day but on Official Servers, it fixes itself eventually but iv no idea whats causing it.

The game is crashing today, first of all it was crashing just as im about to load into the game (dashboarded) and now its let me into the game twice but crashed after a minute or 2 each time. edit: fixed after a hard restart

your comments are idiotic, it was clearly not a hack n slash in its previous state before this update, you just wanna jump on anyone with a negative opinion about the update

Its not only the Axe but all 4 big Melee weapons, they all need tweaking, Just re add the stun if you dont want to make the damage higher again but a zombie should not be able to just ignore your attacks and still tag you, so i dont know what feedback led you to this way of thinking but i dont think its shared by all.

<---- Look at my join date, im far from a noob, iv been playing DayZ since SA on PC and the Zombies were kinda similar back then but with more glitchy, it was changed for a reason, that reason being the over focus on dealing with zombies was sucking the joy out of the other elements of this game. I very much agree with the door smashing but i still stand by my OP, the Melee weapons (especially the big ones, pickaxe, axe, sledge and shovel) need to have stun and high damage. Make the zombies cluster more so you have to be smart about your attacks but as it stands right now you have to spend 30 minutes just to clear a small compound stealthily and its just too much of a grind for anyone with sense.

Joke all you want for attention, but the dude has a point, Zombies are now a time consuming grind making the game a bore to play

So having the Experimental server is pretty useless, none of the concerns about the 1.12 update were even listened to, melee weakness and zombie strength will ruin this game, i for one wont be playing as often anymore since 1.12

My only criticism is the nerfed melee for pickaxe, axe and sledgehammer, these 3 weapons should remain as powerful as they were against zombies. 1 head hit takes them out, and 2 to 3 hits to the torso takes them out, also re instate the stun effect whilst using melee weapons preventing Z's from landing super blows while being attacked. stealth with sharp items is a great touch and having the Z's respond in more realistic ways to sound and line of sight is a massive improvement. My suggestion to make Z attacks more threatening whilst still allowing the melee combat to remain as it was is to limit the amount of hiding you can do whilst aggravating Z's, for example allow agro zombies to break through doors after a certain amount of hits (the more Z's in the attack the quicker they get through the door) also allow them limited climbing abilities such as hay bales, cars and low level scenery. In its current state stealthing passed zombies is far too time consuming and all out attack is also a massive time suck due to constant health repairs and blood regen. some will argue that it just makes it harder, i would say that it makes it a time consuming bore-fest. DayZ is already a grind with lots of obstacles to overcome, we dont need the zombies to be so OP that the game looses its scavenger/crafting/building fun.

Yeah i mostly play Official too as just like you im not a fan of short nights, but community servers are fun when you just wanna cut loose and have a bit of a laugh, i dont get these issues in official servers at all thank goodness

I tried a search for this with no results, so apologies if this has been covered already. Iv tried playing in multiple community servers these last few days and in every single one, be it after 2 minutes or 20 minutes, they all have the same outcome. Il approach a door and get the "press X" prompt and as i press it nothing happens, then subsequently everything becomes un clickable, i cant open doors, cant access my backpack and the worst is that any zombie i come across will not take damage but will deal me damage. none of these issues are present in the official servers, only community. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it something im doing? is there a work around any answers would be cool 🙂

as a fresh character the first thing you wanna do is get a knife, makeshift a stone knife from 2 small pebbles (found on train tracks and trails) and get a melee weapon, although not essential it makes zombie killing easier. and as you progress around the map dont run, running only spends your food quicker, and dont i repeat DONT avoid zombies, you can punch your way through most zombie encounters (but the melee weapon helps massively here) and they are the best source of tinned food and basic survival goods for any beginner, THEN you can focus on making your way inland and killing an animal for steaks and fat.

In completely unable to chop planks from wood piles using either axes, anyone else getting this issue?
