First things, I'm very new to the standalone and never played the mod at all so all I had to go on was what I have seen, read and been told. And what I had gathered from these is three simple rules, Never get surprised by others, Never trust someone who doesn't talk and its always better to be alive than a newbie... With those said I am rather ashamed of my first kill, my and three friends, all brand new to the game essentially, were wandering around NWAF on a low pop server, just checking things out when appeared the unluckiest of people charging up the runway shooting all the zed's that appeared. He obviously had terrible observation and survival instincts and hadn't seen us, so we silently and coldly stalked him, every time he went into a hangar we moved closer until the final hangar we were in close enough and each of us opened up. The poor bloke never stood a chance. The way I think about it now is that if we hadn't done it, with the way he was playing someone would have done it eventually. Its better that all his pristine gear went to some players that were honestly just a little scared but ultimately well intentioned.
