You should consider playing Arma 'life', it has stright rules against KOS'ing, not dayz I know, but if you play Dayz, getting killed by other players is part of the game wether you like it or not. Also learn some skills and you will see that you can avoid getting KOS'ed. KOS'ing has been around since the mod so it's not something new in dayz, and there aren't any 'rules' against it anyway, so offcourse people will continue to do it. Just deal with it or go play something else..... Im not a KOS'er myself but having to fear snipers just brings extra tension to the game so I like it, as long as not everybody does it Im okay with it.

I have only used UK servers(hardcore EXP) and my character gets saved......

I have, but only sneaking on the outskirts and observed people getting killed:p. If there was a script kiddie there wouldn't he find me with he's 'GPS'... And im not saying script kiddies isnt' an issue at all, but not more than any other game out there. No mattter how much anti hack protection we get, there will alwasy be someone who crack it, so the problem will alwasy follow us in online gaming, just the way it is, deal with it or stop playing video games... -
Why not, it makes the colours so wicked and alive, and so much more immersive, and the zombies comes out of the screen in 3d, awsome :D.

Script kiddies will always exist, and hackers making these scripts for them the same. No game in history is 'hack' free. Some games are more plagued with them than others. I havent' come across any script kiddies yet in Dayz, atleast not that Im aware of, and if I do, I just switch server start over again and ignore these kids, after all what gives them a thrill is that people getting angry go to forums and bitch about it. And what, why get so upset being killed in a video game by a script kiddie, you know you are better than them anyway because they have to cheat because they suck... Just move on, it's not the end of the world, and I think the 'hacker' problems are higly exaggerated.. -

Aren't you contradicting yourself abit here:p? First you say that only good thing that came out of the mod was mods of the mod, then you proceed to say the best thing about SA is that it can't be modded. If the mod sucked so bad, why did it boost Arma2 sales so much that BI decided to make a own game out of it?? Couldn't have been that bad..And still alot of people prefer play it instead of the SA..... Only mod of the mod I liked was Namalsk because of the insane intensety with the blodsuckers, freezing cold and earthquakes, now that was survival to the extreme. It was like, team up or die...

No I don't know how they gonna turn out in the end, but im pretty sure they are gonna be 100x better than the Mod zeds when finished. There are already things that are better with SA zombies like pathfinding and animation and movements..... They only lack numbers, a better way of spawning, and they need to move around instead of just standing there passive like now, and also not letting them go trough walls. Also they should not have radar vison like now where they see you for miles, see you when behind cover, and sometimes the oppisite where they can't see you when your right infront of them. Maybe they won't be exactly like i say when finished but Im pretty confident that they will be good in the end. Im just impatient, that's why I wanted the mod zombies to be used as placeholders until all these things are in place so we atleast can get a feel that we are in a zombie apocalypse and not playing wasteland. Yesterday I walked around the whole map on EXP and was in many towns, I saw one zombie after miles and miles of walking...So im saying that as it is now, mod zombies are better in my opinion, when I play the mod I get a zombie apocalypse feeling that SA at the moment with all eyecandy and features just don't give me that same feeling...

Yeah, why does everyone seem to like only playing when there is daylight. Im sick and tired of daylight in SA and finding nightservers with people on is impossible, expecially at hardcore mode(in EXP nightmode is gone). Isn't this a survival game? Shouldn't the 'survivors' have to survive nights too? Night is what makes this game shine, scarier and more intense. Please make all servers have nightime and force all the 'day only' pussies into the darkness, please!!!

You can still use it if you prefer, but for us with a good gaming mouse with high resolusion, the accel function is crap and makes aiming work like shit. Thank god they made it an option to turn it off. Also there is a slight lag in each weapon, I rather see them tweak that for more realism than force us to use mouse accel. Agree with the rest of your post though :P . Also they should remove the aimdot so we actually have to aim, instead of getting perfect hits from the hip like now with just placing the aimdot over our target, so unrealistic.

Rewrite the engine to support DX10/DX11 is a huge step forward and we will all benefit from it without a doubt. It will improve performance for us with DX10/11 supported GPU's and will also make the graphics alot prettier. And most likely it will make it easier to implement certain things into the engine without loosing performance. So you should be a little exited, for me it's the best SA news in a long time.... And lets say they decided to stay with DX9, by the time the game was finished it would belong to the museum (heck DX9 already belongs in a museum)..

This is good news, but unfortunantly they should have just decided to do that straight away and also put alot more money into this project, then we could have been in the beta stage already (or atleast alot longer in development than we are now).

Put up 1000+ vehicles, high loot and spawn with an DMR and full military outfits+basebuilding. Then Im 100% sure that you'll get your server filled up in no time... :( . What the hell happend to the hardcore dayz communety..? And where is that hardcore Namalsk server with earthquakes and freezing temp and blodsuckers where campfires and heatpacks was crucial for survival,,,now all Namalsk servers are 200+ vehicles and all that bullshit, and I haven't found the one with eartquakes, hardest dayz server I have ever played on, intense as hell, people had to team up to survive, ah, good times :) -

Haven't seen any binoculars either in exp, saw that they mention 'binoculars doesn't spawn' in the exp changelog bug list....found plenty of crossbows and quivers loaded with arrows, single arrows are abit harder to find(EXP). Lately I found axes to be very rare, been a few days since I was able to make campfires:p -

It took them awhile to realize their mistake...

Well that's another timer right there,,,, didn't know about it, I'll try it next time. So now I have to use a stopwatch everytime I rejoin now to make sure 30 sec has passed, how convinient ^_^ EDIT: I tested your 30 Seconds theory, still get the timer on 99 seconds so now I basicly waited 99+30 seconds..... -
But we are not getting anywhere, do we? You like the SA zeds and I like the Mod zeds compared to SA zeds in their current state(We all know they will be better someday and beat the crap outta the mod, the question is when) So lets just agree to disagree because you can't convince me, and I can't convince you and the devs probably don't care at all about our discusion anyway, so it's all just pointless. We are just passing time and now I have some other stuff to do:p than arguing pointless things on these forums. So im pulling out of this discussion now:D

I didn't say that the zombies in the mod are perfect, but the way they are in the mod I find 10 times more immersive and they atleast give the 'feel' that Im actually in an apocalypse. You can spot them for miles and theres alot of them and without any weapons they are a threat, even sometimes with weapons too when low on ammo because they have numbers and getting cought in a building with with low ammo is a certain death, you can sneak around them without they noticing you expecially at night, when in SA they see you for miles with their radar vision. Offcourse you can pick on them and find 1000 flaws, but I still think they give a better feel to an apocalypse now than the current zombies in SA, wich are nonexistant, if your lucky you see 3-4 of them at the same time in a big city like Elektro or Cherno, and you cant always spot them from a distance, most of the time they just magicly spawn right behind you so it doesn't give you a chance to 'clear out' a area before entering...As I see it there isnt zombies in standalone because they are so rare and harmless and when I see one I say to myself, yes finally something to beat to death after hours of walking and not seen a a single zombie.... Im sure we will have 100 times better zombies when SA is finished without a doubt, but I would be grateful to have some mod zombies as placeholders until we wait for the better ones..

I have read all the devblogs, changelogs and news there is since even before the alpha was released....Still think BI should had put more resources into this game from the very beginning that could speed up the progress. They are doing it now though(hired 50 more people), so maybe we can see a little faster development from now on. But as I said a few posts above, Im just an impatient son of a bitch....I guess the game is gonna be finished someday and it will be awsome, but it just takes sooooo loooooong:p. Usually putting more money into a project speeds up development time,,,,something Bohemia should have done from the beginning(and that's a fact!). And it's not more superflous than you bitching at me just for having a different opinion wether Im right or not....

How does a 2 minute timer help anything against hoppers? 2 minutes isnt a long wait, when you can save literally hours of looting just jumping to a empty server and wait 2 minutes(they will be annoyed but it doesn't make them stop). One time my friends and I tried to play but we used so much time on crashes and the timer that my other 2 friends gave up and jumped into Arma3. Haven't played Dayz with them since....and Im still wasting time with the timer...And who cares about the cheaters anyway, I can protect myself against server hoppers with military gear with just a shootgun and a hatch. If some like to cheat that way go ahead, they only ruin their own gameplay and will be bored very quick of just KOSing other players and have all the gear in 5 minutes. They haven't ruined my gameplay at all, the timer on the other hand is just annoying and a waste of time..
