If so, I only had a few hours last night on my 1pp character and didn't have anything all that great anyways.

Same, I saw around 3 of them last night on the 1pp server I was on and all of them were in sheds of one type or another.

I found a ton of them in the tent city at NWAF last night, probably about 10 of them.

Just looked it over. If they can get that persistence working, that will add a whole new level to the game. Stashing gear across the map will make things really interesting.

Oh yeah, I found 7 bags in one barrack building. Has anyone found TTKS or gorka tops on EXP? I know this stuff is currently spawning exclusively on the prison on stable but I find pants in military buildings and police stations but never tops.

Yep no one would abuse that period of immunity to fall damage. Not like fall damage is the only way to kill yourself (even with the suicide option), it is nearly as easy to drown yourself or just let a zed kill you. Don't get me wrong, I am not for a player being able to pick their spawn point but I would bet a lot of people do it so they can get closer spawn points to friends. God, not me. I hate both of those spawn points with a passion. I would much rather spawn in the north or west sections of the map. Hell even Svet is a good option.

Yeah, I think it was SE 01 that I was playing upon. I didn't try adjusting my ping filter as Thurman suggested to see if others still existed, I was enjoying the 20'ish ping.

Does anyone know what happened to the 1pp servers? I played upon a SE one last weekend but I have noticed that they are no longer in the server list this week. Did they get converted into the "infected" servers or just taken down due to lack of players? As I am generally a 3pp player, it was an interesting change of pace but the lack of players did make it a bit boring at times.

Then unless they are willing to add some kind of suicide penalty, people will continue to do it to try and get a closer spawn point. I am fine with random spawn points, I just wish there where more of them inland or on the northern/western sections of the map but then I tend to play alone so I don't have to worry about trying to get back to my friends.

Damn that would suck. After losing two tents last weekend I haven't tried again but I did hide a back pack with some food, a scope and some ammo last night. So I can check that tonight, thankfully I don't have huge camps like some of you do to worry about. Sounds like BCBasher makes some pretty massive ones.

Agreed, add to that a better variety of spawn points. It would be nicer if you could be redirected to ones closer to friends but outside of them adding some kind of grouping system I am not sure how that would work. Oh and I like spawning in Svet, it's a nice town wtih access to major northern resources that almost no one every visit. Call me crazy :)

Honestly, you guys are the biggest drama queens I have ever seen upon a forum. Two people ask about the rarity of the M4 spawning and suddenly you act like the thread is plagued with comments about it. The poster who started the topic already linked their bug report and I was just pointing out that I have not seen any this update. Sorry if adding my observation in some way offended you... And labeling people "crybabies" for asking a question and then responding to ass hate responses bothers you this much, perhaps you should ask for an "ignore user" feature, right about now I sure wouldn't mind one myself.

Did I say I wanted to outfit a platoon with M4s? Hell I have seen two SVD's on EXP (found one last night at the crash site east of Devils Castle) and yet I haven't found nor seen anyone with the M4 and the AK 101 wasn't a crash site only weapon before (was that changed)? So next time do not try to over embellish my statement to make yourself look cool and win some "beans"...

Wait, then why was that mosin I ran around with last night on EXP? After all it is an older and already well tested weapon and yet it still spawns?!? There is a flaw in your logic and I agree with Jayfkay that there is something wrong with the M4 spawning. I don't expect to see tons of them but they should be common at the US crash sites, after all they are the primary US battle weapon. Now I am not going as far as to say Brian is incorrect but I know I haven't seen one in months on the live servers and in 4 US crash sites I found this weekend I didn't see a single one. Maybe someone got their first, its possible so I will give them the benefit of the doubt that it is spawning once more. Now the freaking AK 101, is that thing extinct or what?

Expect the first two all require you to find something. Have fun trying to grow crops without seeds, water, tools and the fertilizer. Fishing maybe but again you actually need to find items to make it work, not like you can catch them with your hands. And no, I am not playing a game where I spend all my time picking apples. Never had much luck with berries, is it more productive than picking apples? My point was that it seems almost all the spawn points cities are barren of anything worth while. You are better off just blowing them off and using that extra time traveling further inland and hoping someone else did't already hit up the next village. Unless the loot system ramps up with server activity, I seriously doubt the current system would be able to handle a fully populated server. Not to mention you completely neglected the elements. My first death last night was actually due to it being night, raining and no proper clothing because Svet was empty and someone had already cleared Olsha out. So eventually the cold, rain and already low food levels spelled my doom. I was playing upon the SE 1pp server last weekend but I noticed last night they were gone. I am more of a 3pp type of person (not because I like "peaking") and it was an interesting change but having around 6 people on the server made it pretty boring and I eventually went back to 3pp.

I get that error every time I exit after I updated to EXP.

Yeah, my server went down and when I try and rejoin I am getting the same error as well and all the EXP servers are currently empty. Something is up...

I am confused why there was a character wipe. Apparently the only thing that changed loot wise, is there is less of it... Now you just basically write off the starting town and hope to god you find something in the next town or you will be back on the coast trying again.

Not like the EXP servers are even coming close to filling a 50 cap. I understand people want higher populate caps but be honest, are any servers even pushing the 50 cap right now? Maybe I just don't see them due to my filtering on ping...

I ran into a couple instances of cities/villages being nearly barren of loot. I did a path up from the military base near Pavlovo, thru Pavlovo and into Zele and it was really bad. I was cold, low on food. I found a shirt in Pavlolo to help build a fire to dry off and warm up, no food or any other loot. I looted about a third of Zele and found two cans of food and 3 soda cans. I also noticed when I started my character on the 1pp server that the city I spawned it was a waste land (Svet) and if it wasn't for some luck in Olsha I would have been in serious trouble. I can't imagine that the current loot system could support a really active and full server at this point. Please don't misunderstand, this is much better than the "one stop shopping" of the gate houses but it still needs work. /sigh...

Yeah, I messed around upon the 1pp SE servers Sunday and it got boring rather quickly. Like 6 people online, I eventually went back to 3pp.

Yeah, I have lost two this update. Now I basically urinate upon tents when I see them.
