I would't be against it but I also probably wouldn't bother with it either. I have yet to play a game where these kind of "pets" have decent enough AI to ultimately not end up being more trouble than they are worth.

I would love to see more Zeds but not until they have ironed out the current issues with them.

The only problem I have been having on stable is with Zeds. They still seem to mostly ignore doors, can hit me while on a different floor than they are, their hit box doesn't appear to reflect their actually location and if you kill one it will respawn and instantly start running back towards you again. I am all for Zeds being more of a threat but not because they are completely bugged :)

Not sure if you are trolling me or just being intentionally dumb in the name of RP. So let me guess, you don't play with RL friends because they are not friends of your "character"? You don't use vent/TS because your character is not running around with a cell phone? After you die do you pretend that suddenly you don't know the best places to find guns because that is something you as a player know but not as a character? And no I won't pretend to need to confirm my kill, because it is clear if I need to put another round in them or not. I am not going to limit myself to your RP standards...

Correctly me if I an wrong here but unconscious players don't rag doll, only dead ones do? If that is true then the entire "confirm your kill" argument just went out the window. I am indifferent to the idea, though I wouldn't mind knowing how I died just so I can look forward to a little payback in the future.

I am indifferent to it, it will give more actually value to maps (because lets face it they are currently worthless) but anyone who has played for a while will still not need one. Personally I am far more interested in fixing other unrealistic aspects of the game (like jumping, falling or climbing) then this.

Sure, if you consider killing you for your gear as "interacting". If you make loot too difficult to find it will only promote banditry because it will become more efficient to kill other and take their gear than searching for yourself. Not to mention once people do get good loot, they will be less likely to want to risk it by interacting with complete strangers due to the risk of running into a bandit or just going KOS because they have gun. The current reset timer is bad but trust me, it can get worse... You guys just assume that by making gear rare it means it will make things more passive, I seriously doubt that is going to be the case.

I tend to take that same approach. I has been my experience that almost everyone I have meet wearing a mask has been either a bandit or someone who betrayed me the second they had an advantage. I can at least see wearing a motor cycle helmet as it actually provides some useful benefit to wearing one.

No, I would be looking for cover and then a way the hell out of the area. I sure wouldn't be looking to make myself into a stationary and completely helpless target laying upon the ground waiting for someone to double tap me...

Is that a trick question? How often do you have to hammer away at a button to equip or unequip an item in game due to dysnc? I would rather play a game that has fluid and seamless character movement then one that is more "realistic" but clunky. If they want to work upon character movement, they should spend some times upon jumping/falling and improve the climbing system.

Because the only time one needs to connect to a server is because they are server hoping and never because the game crashed or they lost connection? Seriously, I have to wonder if some of you actually take a second to consider what you say or just blurt out whatever stupid crap pops into your head...

The problem with direct chat right now is no matter what you do, everyone within a country mile will hear it. At least with this you could have more "private" chats without having to rely upon TS/Vent/Mumble or everyone listening in. It might not be a perfect system but it would be an improvement to the current direct chat.

I have been living in the west side of the map for a while now. Honestly, I see no reason to go to the east side at all anymore. So next time I respawn, it will be a quick loot on my way out of town and head inland until I reach the more populated western areas.

I always do that. A - it covers my tracks, nothing screams "follow me" more than a trail of open doors. B - It slows down people who might be looting behind me.

I would just like a message informing me who I should be hunting down after I respawn. I really like the kill cam from Titanfall but it would give away too much tactical information in Dayz, so just the name of my killer would be great.

Now I am unsure if you are just trolling me. Five minutes would be stupid and again what happens if you log back in before the game logs you back out? Does your former self still try and log out? If it is killed is there a tear the fabric of time and the Dayz world is sucked into a black hole?

Lets be honest a second. If someone actually can sit down for thirty seconds to log out of the game, its a bit of a stretch to call it "combat logging" because you are obviously not actively engaging them. Sure it will make logging out safer then right now and you could easily counter your issue but making the log out process not only make you sit down but it puts your weapons away. So if they rush you while you are trying to log out not only are you sitting down but you don't even have a gun drawn. Like I said, this is the first game (even one with open world PvP) were you are blindly logging out and stuck in game for 30 seconds afterwards. What happens if I log out and then log back into another server during that 30 seconds? You only get the "please wait" timer if you jump servers quicker than 30 minutes right?

This is the first game I have played where the log out time begins after you actually leave the game. I am so use to having to wait "insert number of seconds here" in game while logging out, this way if you are attacked you can actually defend yourself and they try and log out again afterwards.

Because you are apparently the only one who can adjust to game play changes right? I mean you assume that once unlimited sprinting is "fixed" that he will continue to use the same tactic, even though the reason he clearly states for using it no longer exists. Plus it's not like we won't be able to sprint short distances and his point about it being much harder to hit a sprinting target would still be true, he just won't be able to do it across the map... Being "pinned down" have nothing to do with your ability to see and everything to do with keeping you contained in a fixed location. As for me, unless I have support close by I will not wait long because you never know if they will have help close by either. Generally the first couple seconds of the engagement are your best chance for escape as people are trying to get into cover, slightly confused, reloading or even a little panicked.

I kind of agree with the OP in a sense. I have always found it odd that while all the status bars were removed from the screen, I get system messages that have almost always nothing to do with me. Honestly, I don't care if "John Doe" is losing connection and I sure care about it less than I do my own status levels....

Pretty much the same here. It loads and runs great but when I try to close it, it almost always crashes.

In Dayz a strong breeze is enough to risk breaking your legs. Scratch that, a mild breeze...

From my experience, they are not all that hard to find just keep checking police stations and cars. I have had to replace mine three times due to it being ruined when my high capacity vest is ruined... 30 round mags are a bit harder but both the ones I have found have been on police cars..
