30 years old. 10 years in the marines. Got out Jan 2014. About to go into a police department. Been playing Dayz since it was a mod and SA since it came out. Looking for some fun, casual players (any age) to enjoy and survive with.

Six Upcoming Developments That Will Change DayZ for the Better - Gamespot Article
ASMS_Leader replied to gibonez's topic in General Discussion
Ok...I def think that's all great BUT....and this is a HUGE but....hackers in Dayz are a problem. Some people have never seen them, and yet there's players like me who've seen the teleporting, flying like jesus, shooting ridiculous distances getting one-hit kills with pistols scum bunnies the majority of times they've played. If loot becomes universally "RARE" to where it's limited to a certain number in the whole game....lol you sure as *(&^ better implement hardware banning. Otherwise you're just gonna open a hackerthon with people if nothing else using ESP to find these players with this "rare" loot. I mean WarZ(now ISS) doesn't even do that and you still have the majority of a game that hacks and will aimbot the *(&) out of you for a sniper even though in the new Caliwood map zombies are dropping crap like crazy. I think implementing a system that makes items rare world wide w/o first placing down an anticheat that will seriously hinder cheaters would just be a bad idea. -
Yup lol agreed man def would like to see more...and if you need another voice actor I sound pretty douschie so I can be "that guy" ;) lol

Well they do have the Molly-esque Sniper backpacks which are smaller than the mountain bp....tbh though Even Alice packs (which were the largest operating bag used in the Marine Corps while I was in) won't hold more than those mountain bags....Most "military" (non flight oriented) bags aren't really big at all....They'll def hold a LOT of weight, but when you have to carry something on your back AND be able to function in a firefight you're not really going to want a huge bag laying on top of you lol. Think even though military bags are smaller if this game implements a weight system they should be able to carry exponentially more weight than civilian bags that way each has its perks u know?

see ^^^ what'd I tell ya with a name like sovetsky I think you're getting advice straight from Chernaurus. Thanks for clearing that up though Sov

The arrows in the middle are elevation adustments for aiming at targets from/to certain distances. TBH no clue what the PSO scopes initial arrow is set. On the ACog used in the Marine corps though the top of the first chevron was 200m right below the tip above the vertical stick underneath the chevron was 300 than there were 400 and 500 markers. Sorry couldn't give you exact distances for the marks though. Either someone who's played this game WAY too much or a European who's actually had contact w/ a PSO scope will probably stop by shortly to give you them though ;)

you told them to leave in TWO languages lol they got what they deserved...plus wtf was the one guy planning to do with one mosin clip (only saw the one)

Stand Alone is currently a shell of what it's intended to be. The Mod has had years of polishing, and tweaks, and fixes, and love from a very talented community. In my opinion you can't compare the two in terms of "gameplay" right now bc it's like comparing a baby to skilled athlete IMO. The joy in SA, though, and what a lot of players prob could add more of their own personal likings, is that while you play this game you're watching it grow from a clunky, bare bones, clumsy ass, abnormally large-headed alien baby to a badass , fully-developed adult (just hopefully in a MUCH briefer time span lol)

Have to agree with this guy. I loved Alienware back when it was Alienware, now it's like a Jaguar automobile.....nice to look at by all that money and it's got ford parts. Since Dell took over Alienware they've ruined the name. IBuyPower is a place where you could get some bang for your buck especially when they've got deals going on. Also.....people might say otherwise but personally I think Falcon and Powerspec have some decently priced gaming setups

I also found one today in that bistro type place with the apartments on top of it

agreed lol and yup...downhill with something that u need to break in front with was never a good combo

dude, you guys ever need someone joining up I'm a HUGE fan of your vids I'd be totally down for some fun w/ you guys. I DO have a mic so don't worry I won't annoy you I linger around the military base NW of the NW AF -
Ok....I don't know about anyone else old enough to even remember roller skates, BUT they didn't go that fast at all lol NOW a nice set of rollerblades would be legit for paved road travel. That'd be where it'd end though lol I like the concept though....You're sitting there changing your skates to shoes while 10 zombies alerted to the sounds of your skating are charging at you ;)

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
ASMS_Leader replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
I've run into a couple "Russian Jesus"s on some servers. Meaning dudes with Russian accents that are just hovering up in the sky flying around killing people and what not. That's in SA btw BUT really not often at all I don't go to high pvp pop servers though -
So, good amount of people know me in game. I've helped NUMEROUS bambi's in game and in the forums through thread or messaging. I've messaged countless members in the forum wanting help playing because they're new most men, but obviously some female if they created a thread saying "help I'm new" lol gender don't bother me I offer the hand either way... Well long story short just had some troll, I guess with his gf's picture up, that responds and than sends this message I'D LOVE TO PASTE IT and give the name, but I'm sure there's some issue with that so I won't till a mod gives me the ok. But kid pretty much says "ha, u thought I was a girl, you're stupid and trying to get laid online(wait...what???) you should watch who you message and try to help cause that'll get you killed/raped in game or IRL (again, lol , WTF???)" Now this is absolutely hilarious bc I made a prior thread about kids using a girls pic in a forum pretending to be chicks lol and here's on right here. Funny thing was this kid's talking about getting to know someone first and being careful bc of what can happen IRL....lol now I'm sorry last time I checked dudes pretending to be chicks have prob gotten worse things done to them. Just sayin. Now if/when a mod gives me the ok I"ll copy/paste this message and blow this little turds spot up bc even though I understand there's some chump guys online trying to be chivalrous to hit on girls lol little scummies like this kid are just going to slowly, but surely, turn this community into a bunch of bandit KOS D-bags not interested in actually helping each other out

Actually....really the best way to deal with server hoppers is to have them get a random as *&^% spawn when they bounce from one server to the next. Issue with that is people link up they don't want to spend hours linking up again right? well have a way to "group up",such as an actual clan tag whether be a way to accept and invite and see a little mark over their head or their ingame name (nothing too big bc obviously that can get hinky during firefights obscuring looking past the person) and in the event they hop to another server they all spawn together, or even better and to keep from being killed as a group have them spawn 50 or so meters away from each other. I'm not a developer but I can't see why that couldn't be implemented. Now to keep people from "spawn camping" have some type of random generator that works within designated areas. The maps pretty big even if you take away all areas w/ buildings. These non developed areas could just be broken into different sectors and when people spawn theres a percent chance they get spawned there and within there there's relatively 1000s of sub spawns within the sector. It'd make camping a lot harder.... I don't know game development though soooooooo this is probably far fetched or stupid, or just something most people think is dumb. I think it's a great idea. Just, unlike other games that do something similar, should be done right and not half-assed. Edit: and the clan tag could be permanent, or say something that you set up clicking a "server hopping" option where the person sends the invites, and than server hops and that drags the players out of that server into the one the "leader" chose, or as I'm sure that could create HUGE issues as well as "what ifs" a permanent clan tag + agreement in a prior server option would probably work best. That would keep clans of 40 from joining each others games and linking up with each other during a firefight, or just make sure the "linking up" option is only able to be done when server hopping with said group.
