  1. So bandits are using blood bags in order to disguise themselves to look either like a normal player or a hero sounds like some high tech spy mission stuff to me not sure why you'd call it an exploit.

    1: Depends on the gun, I have trouble with sidearms/short guns but rifles are easy. 2: No. 3: If they display signs of being hostile then definitely.

    Tents and vehicles outside the map border are getting wiped tomorrow from what I've read the tents and vehicles within the map border I don't believe they will be touched

    Run south east you'll hit trees eventually it's outside the map where people like to hide tents is where you just spawned
  12. Guess you guys should have found a safer place to log a game like DayZ should not be changed for incompetent players. But your buddy was logged there you say and he got kicked? Better to risk one life than several. Simple strategic decisions - make them.

    What if we picked an alignment at our spawn?

    What if at birth, we had to choose our alignment. It is no longer possible for someone to remain neutral, it is no longer possible for research and experience to change someone, they remain the same throughout their lifetime and apply the same logic to each situation they're presented with. All problems have only two possible solutions with consequences that have been set in stone and adapting to your environment has gone out the window because you're unable to stray from your alignment without suffering. The game is meant to have that element of realism that allows you to choose in that instant what you're going to do. I wish people would stop trying to propose solutions that would work in a fantasy game or possibly an FPS. If you want to propose a solution that holds water it should at least be looked at from a perspective that applies it to the real world in order for it to fit into this game well. The current Bandit system works very well, you have the ability to know if someone has been firing the first shot and you can make your decision from there. Hell if you choose to you can follow them around for a while to see how they act before making your decision to make contact or not. It's all up to the players, as it's meant to be.

    1.7.1.4 near impossible?

    Not sure what everyone is complaining about with this patch. Spent about 14 hours in game yesterday without dying hitting up deer stands solo, and scavenging Stary with a buddy. We both wound up breaking our legs and unable to find morphine, spent 2 maybe 3 hours crawling around looking for some in Stary before finding any. When we saw zombies we either avoided them or crouched up and threw a smoke and got back down to crawl. They respond less to gunshots now from what I'm seeing, I can take down a Zed with a G17 or my buddy's M1911 without aggoing the ones on the other side of the fence - ONLY if no more than 1 shot is fired though. The zombies act more realistically with this patch, they can see almost everything where they're facing so long as nothing's in the way. The only thing that still needs to be changed is that they don't appear to be attracted to flashlights, or care when one is shined on them. The game is harder but it just requires more thinking and planning to get where you're going in town.
  15. I joined a server last night and knowing it was going to be night time I turned up my gamma and brightness. I could not see anything but stars. Where the stars stopped was simply black, no silhouettes nothing just solid black. I would like to know if there are more servers like this, where gamma does not increase your ability to see at night, it was thoroughly enjoyable actually having to use flares etc without being at a disadvantage should you run into bandits. So: Is there a way to tell if a server is like this before joining? and Is there a list of such servers anywhere?

    Extremely Dark night question.

    personally I hope nights without moons stay as such. The other server I got on that night after the black one went down said it was 1.7.1.1 as well but it was not nearly as dark.

    Cfg.Weapons and connection error.

    You need to update BattlEye. Do the following: C:/->Program Files(x86)[x86 only if 64bit]->Steam->Steamapps->common->arma 2 operation arrowhead->BESetup Run Setup_BattlEyeARMA2OA This will install BattlEye for Operation Arrowhead If that does not work then after doing that go here: http://www.battleye.com/download.html And then download the client one for operation arrowhead in the arma 2 operation arrowhead folder go to: Expansion->BattlEye Delete the BEClient.dll that is in the folder and paste the one you downloaded from BattlEye's website. DO NOT Paste and REPLACE Edit: This will allow you to play without getting kicked after clicking continue, however that error will still appear now and again it doesn't appear to have any effect on the game however.

    FPs lagg after dying

    After dying on a server it becomes unplayable and I am required to switch servers to play. The fps drops for the normal 150-230 to 40 after death, and persists even after restarting the client etc.
