[UKSS] Dayz 1.8.0.3 Vanilla No Mods, Stock Vehicle spawns.

We just put up a fresh Vanilla Dayz 1.8.1 server! Private hive. 1st and 3rd person views. This is totally stock no extra mods. SideChat is on. Default vehicle spawns no 999+ vehicles crap. Default starting gear. 40 slot server we can also put up the player count if needed. Ruining off a dedicated server has excellent performance also the full arma 2 (and dayz) install is sat on a ram disk for the extra boost Server will be up for the foreseeable future even is the player count is very low as we enjoy playing Vanilla form time to time and there is not cost involved in keeping this up. If I remember correctly the public hive was hosted by HFBservers which is not out of business and I'm guesig thats why it's now dead.

Launcher sees more servers due to reporting offline servers as online right now. Running overpoch or whatever is as simple as adding -mod=@dayzoverwatch to the additional launch parameters in commander. Multiple mods -mod=@dayzoverwatch;@dayzorigins;@CBA_CO;@JSRS1.5 Another note dayzlauncher also renames the mod folders. example @dayz_epoch gets renamed to @dayz_epoch1051 Run arma 2 and arma 2 oa one time form steam. Delete all folders related to epoch and start again with a launcher of your choice :)

If I remember correctly HFB servers hosted the public hive? If so they are dead and out of business so I'm guessing there isn't much hope of it coming back?

Yeah people are moving to the new patch now for sure.. Our server is getting pretty rammed with players :)

A few servers have made the update MGT etc. There are still loads of servers that are on the old patch but i'm sure they will update ASAP as its looking like you cant join non steam version of aram via commander anymore.

Commander updated then so did we. Server is listing fine and can join perfect on new steam version of arma2 :)

We are running as stock as possible still.Private hive so no downtime due to public hive going offline.... Really cant wait for 1.8.2 :D

Learn something new every day didn't even know that :/ I just thought arma 2: Dayz Mod launched with 112555.

Ok cool. It's just because amazingly most people on my server join via steams dayz mod and not commander etc. (crazy I know)

Tell hicks to stop adding more pointless stuff to dayz (more hats/masks anyone lol) and give the mod the go ahead. :D

Having issues with dayz 1.8.1 with 125402. Cant get into the server what so ever. I'm using the same setup as it was with the old beta nothing changed. I'm investigating why now. Edit Never mind found my issues i had some launch parameters in steam (doh!)

I was going to set up a public hive, but then I thought about it and not having the hive in my control is a bad idea with the possibility of down time etc.

Maybe a dev here could get hold of him and ask what his plans are?

Most servers wait on changes to happen in dayz commander before they update. when the changes are live on commander most server then proceed to update. Well thats how I see things happen. I'm sure then more then 90% of players use and rely on commander.

You don't run from that folder any more you run the arma2oaserver.exe in the main directory now as your server.
