i agree with you, i'm not in favor of it I just think it would add something to the food choices we make.

If anything they should start by just making a "relieve yourself" option that if ignored causes your pants then footwear to get "soiled" which would cause them to deteriorate faster. Imo it would be a good reason not to consume suspicious foods or untreated water and to teach proper survival techniques.

I know you can use six updater to download mods. There may be a steam function too, I'm not big on steam so I don't know.If you have downloaded Epoch and Overwatch you should be able to play Overpoch. Both mods are available from a variety of sources.

Hate from haters... no! When you degrade others for playing a video game it shows those people have very little real talent, so they need to feel like winners in a game where the skills are all fake. Real winners play for fun and live life without being judgmental... whether that's in PVP or PVE doesnt matter at all.

Im in the same boat... dont want to use steam but have no choice atm. You need ArmA to play Arrowhead so install both. Then copy the mods from your ArmA2 folder (@DayZ etc) to your ArmA2 steam folder (programs 86x > steam > steam apps > common > Arma2). Then you're good to go.

Isnt there such a thing as PVE servers? Where some servers don't allow PVP, others don't allow KOS? I thought I remembered seeing PVE servers in DayZ mod.

If I'm alone I normally take it slow unless the mission spawns close, in which case i'll try to get in and out asap. When the mission pops up I normally check the player list since I know where some players bases are which gives an idea of how long I may have in the best case. If I'm nearby and hear player activity I just leave the area. I don't risk my life when I'm alone for loot. When I'm with friends we just scope the scene from far with snipers and have 1-2 people move in with empty backpacks to collect the loot. We always meet somewhere after instead of regrouping, that really helps if some stranger is following one team. One time we stalked a group of players while they completed a mission... the whole time I was telling my guys we should just leave but we stayed and ambushed 6 guys when they returned to their vehicle. We did kill them all really fast but we lost 2 guys when the last stranger threw grenades. All that just to say, loot is not worth lives imo. Not unless we're prepared to die by at least leaving our inventory at base before choosing to risk it all for some gear. The battle that ensued to regain our lost gear and the enemy's turned the game into a killfest for the next hour or two. I walked away alive but blind and deaf for a good 3km run. I love this game for that feeling that survival is a greater goal than racking up kills.

Both have their advantages. The SA has a nice inventory system in comparison and the mod has way more content (for now). The biggest advantage the mod has imo is its built for love, no money involved. The money is what's turning this lovely expansion into a heated debate imo. I gotta admit I have a hard time getting in to SA, the guns & their sounds, the cartoony look, the running like a proud paperboy that just got tipped and really want his can bar... it's changed a lot to put it nicely. Overall. They're both buggy, clunky, and missing that fine polishing we see in most new games. Apart from the buggy part ...that's why I play these games.

Realistic is just a marketing term to attract certain players. A really realistic video game would be boring as hell and take years to pass the first stages. There's not a single sane person that would sit down and play a realistic game. The authentic part of the game is what keeps me playing personally. There are many more polished games that are very similar (DayZ SA for example) that I chose not to play (yet) as it seems to have lost some of that authenticity in exchange for accessibility ... all terms just spewed from the developers to attract their target audience. Let's just count our blessings that we don't hear much about making the game more "accessible to all players" since that means dumbed-down to the majority of players. Even though that's not necessarily the definition of Accessible ;)

Those types of servers are a dime a dozen. When I see donators with extras I leave the server before getting frustrated. The best servers i've encountered may have donators playing but they all have the same gear as me or any other noob. I gave up on PVP Epoch for that reason. Seems the admins best 28 friends are always the one's being cheap since they know the admin won't kick / ban them. After having an indestructible base broken into I quit playing their little game and joined a decent PVE server to build ...and I go back to my old PVP server every once in a while to get banned when I kill the brown nosers that admins always side with. Its hard for me to get attached to a purely PVP Epoch server. The base rarely lasts even one month.

What do call it when you join multiple Epoch servers that simultaneously close or wipe the servers making you lose all your progress at once? Ans: Combo lock What did the worker zombie say to the farmer zombie after the farmer zombie cracked the worker zombie up with the greatest zombie joke ever? Ans: grrrlawwwwl ...shit that hurts What kills more survivors than getting shot by players and getting eaten by zombies, combined? Ans: Getting ArmAed

I'm on Epoch (yea I know.. I mean EZpoch) and I constantly run in to good people on normally hostile servers. So now I make sure to do things to help others. One way to help really stands out to me though. It was done to me a couple weeks ago and i sware i've done it more than a dozen times since then. So the story goes... I was close to ending a mission with about 10 mins until restart when I got flanked and killed. When I spawned a guy that saw me die who could have easily killed the last AI and looted my body, asked me to tell him my location. He picked me up and flew me close to my body and covered me while I got my stuff. I thought that was probably the best thing you can do for someone that's about to lose all their stuff at restart. So now when I see a player is killed close to restart I do the same. It happens quite a lot.

People with misophonia are bananas. That's why they can't stand watching people eat bananas... its like cannibalism to them :)
