my "checking pulse" incident happened about 30mins ago :(

I have one.... Fairly new to the game and my buddy (whom I know personally outside the game) asked me to check his pulse. Mind you I've never checked a pulse before. I click my center mouse wheel, scroll over check pulse, and left click..... M4 to the back of the head. I felt so bad and we were far inland. He was immediately dead. All his stuff was ruined and then the server restarted so we couldn't save any of his equip; I felt so bad.

Does anyone else think this is more than bad luck?

Maybe youre right, its just bad luck but the probabilities are incredibly unlikely

On servers with 10+ people or it it happened once maybe but not after it happened 3 times in a 24hr period on servers almost empty

I understand your logic there but just how many cities are there in DayZ!?!?! Out of all the towns someone just happens to spawn in the same town/location I'm at on a server that was empty? I dont buy it

but it wasn't in the same place all 3 times, each time was a different location

I dont understand how I join an empty server, an the gigantic map that is DayZ, and I run into players shooting at me. Can Admins choose where they spawn? Does the game automatically spawn you near someone. I understand that there are some "Hot" places but in the last 24 hours its happened 3 times. (I was not killed by these players I'm just amazed at the serendipity of it)
