Just another case of rocket giving false information to try to hype people up backfiring.
-
It's not a new engine, just a crap outdated engine with copy pasted stuff from other crap engines that Bohemia own.
-
They said they were fixing rubberbanding months ago.

if you buy dayz now on pc will it work on mac when it is realised?
instynct replied to smelyindian69's topic in General Discussion
It will probably never be ported over, or maybe in 5 years at this rate. -
Welcome to dayz development, where there is no development ;)

The challenge and saga of Zombie Pathfinding

Yeah okay... saying you've worked with navmesh before when you really haven't makes you sound smart... navmesh is really buggy and knowing this engine it will probably be horribly buggy. -
The challenge and saga of Zombie Pathfinding

Who wants to bet zombies will still walk through walls? -
If there was no one complaining they would be developing even slower. They already have the money, so all we have left to get updates is the community which isn't working obviously. Bohemia only cares about the paycheck hence why there are like 2 programmers working on the game. Simpy another cash grab. Just wait to see how slow the updates come when they are all depressed that another game is doing better and taking their place.

This is why most people quit playing, now you know to do research before buying but I cannot blame you. It's a shame this game had a lot of potential but made all the wrong decisions mostly because bohemia bought the rights.

1) I think it's pretty apparent at this point that they cannot fix zombies glitching through objects/walls + stupid AI. 2) Slow updates has no excuses, they already create many new bugs each patch anyways. (Usually game breaking). 3) Yet another 'it's alpha' excuse. I don't know what you're talking about @ bug fixes because they seem to be mostly fixing tiny pointless bugs on the changelog. So if they stated they wouldn't be fixing bugs in alpha then they aren't following their own road map very well.

They don't care anymore guys. Simple as that. How is this any different than what warz did?
-
Probably the most important update was H1Z1 being announced ;)
-
You act like this issue will be fixed... it probably won't. And the devs honestly don't care, they have all of your money and no reason to fix anything. All they need to do is pretend like they have someone working on it, while grabbing more peoples money.

64 bit server binaries don't mean shit honestly. It allows the servers to use more memory... meaning hold more information. This will not fix rubberbanding, in fact if they add more players to use said memory on the server there will be even more rubberbanding due to horrible netcode. It will not make anything load faster or make graphics 'sharper'. The only thing you can do with more memory is store more information. The dev team are at such a desperate state they are trying to make you think they are making more progress than they really are.

I think it's meant to say that the ammo will no longer disappear when you empty a ammo box or magazine.
-
Pretty damn awful communication as usual.
-
They took a month to do this.... this is why the game will never really be 'stable'. They supposedly 'fixed' desync and lag, but guess what no they did not. It's just as bad as it was before if not worse. One step forward 5 steps backwards all the time with this outdated engine.

This engine is a train wreck... they can't fix one thing without breaking something major. -

It looks to me like all the release notes they make are just tiny tiny bugs, why the hell would you post such tiny bug fixes, trying to make people think you're doing more then you actually are? -
Looking back, Do you think that EA release was a good idea?
instynct replied to c00lface's topic in General Discussion
I think this games time has come. H1Z1 will be the new standard for the genre sadly. -
What are your biggest concerns and fears regarding the near/far future of the game?
instynct replied to joe_mcentire's topic in General Discussion
Welcome, this is the outcome of using an outdated engine and trying to update it yet failing miserably. -

Hopefully development speeds up when they realize they have some HARD competition @ SOE H1Z1 -

You think you're smart huh? How can you ask someone to fix a core engine flaw without access to the source? Everyone should know from any bohemia game that the netcode is awful and will always be awful. Just like performance. -
Nice a forum mod posting placebo fixes
