Hey guys, I've been playing DayZ for a while now and I have decided at an attempt to make: ~THE OFFICIAL UNOFFICIAL DAYZ LORE ~ I love the game and love making fan fiction (not sexual stuff though) and I feel that this game has a canvas ready to be filled. I've already seen some stuff like legends and myths in the game that would be great to get more in depth with. I'm hoping to get as many people to get to know this and to help out in this. Here's just a handful of things we would cover: Who are we the playersLocation historyVirus originPre war eventsMyths and legendsIf anyone is interested, just reply to this or pm if you want to contribute

Hey guys, I decided to start recording some of my little adventures I have on DayZ, I'm kinda young so don't be expecting some MLG gameplay here. I'm recording mostly because I liked watching videos of the kind I make and I'm sure that some of you are the same. Just check it out: http://goo.gl/vWo8vj

Hey guys, I just want to know your opinion on the new North East airfield. Personally, I don't like it. From what I heard, the dev team did this to move people to the West. If they want to make us go to the west, they should have added spawns at the west. I don't about you guys but the furthest west that I've ever spawned is Dubrovka (if anyone has spawned further please tell me where). I also loved NE airfield. I loved how small and compact it was. I've had some pretty fun gunfights there. Just wanna know your thoughts! Update: I feel like a lot of you a mistaking my dislike to the change as a fact that I wanted quick loot. But in reality I dislike it because that was a place when I had little time or I was bored and I want some quick action. Sometimes I go west but I find no one. Here's a quick story about what I mean my and my friends started off as a group in Novo on a full pop server. We wanted to circumnavigate the map. By the time we got to Grishino we hadn't met anyone. Not much of surprise. But then we went to NWAF on a fully populated server and we still didn't have an encounter. We went down to Balotta and went East from there. The only time we met someone on that entire trip was in Solnichniy. I don't know if this is bad luck (or good luck depending on how you see other players) but that is was I miss NEAF and why I want more spawns in the west.

Hey guys, I'm just curious to know how you play DayZ. Not only as in tactics, or simply bandit, hero or neutral. I want to know what your priorities are when you are playing, your goals, and also the other things (tactics, karma). I'm curious because of the reaction I got for saying that I wasn't fond of the NEAF change. Some people reacted as if I was a noob trying to get loot quick but in reality it is because when I play, my priorities are set on people, I'm not wanting to kos but I just like to have an unpredictable situation and I felt Northeast had the quickest access to that.

Hey guys, I've been playing DayZ for about 2 months now and I have some questions about walkie talkies: -Can you actually use them, and if yes how -Can you use them you have a single input have several outputs? So can I speak into 1 wt, and have it on more than one other Thanks, -CaptainChem

Good point never thought of it that way

This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks a lot man :) HAV MA BEANZ!

I see what you mean but, I think we can agree that people is what makes this game fun and after 6 hours of nothing, I want to have fun.
-
I feel like a lot of people are mistaking the fact that I said I wanted spawns in the west for I want spawns near good loot. Like I've already mentioned, I liked NEAF for its quick action, not loot. I don't want spawns right in the military base but different locations like Elektro.
-
They made it a lot larger but removed all the hangars and prisons.
-
I fell like you missed not everything but a lot of what I meant. This really isn't a loot factor. This is about action. All I need is a gun, ammo and a bag. Even on full pop servers people would still go to North East. When I said I want spawns in the west I mean like Cherno and Elektro, not Vybor or Grishino. Cause I actually want to explore the map but that isn't my priority. One of the only things that makes the game fun is other people. That's where I my priority is, fun. People. I'm not a bandit but just finding people creates unpredictable situations. I would sometimes find people in Berezino but when I got bored I went to NEAF. Cause it was close to spawns and it had a lot of people. Some people, like me, who have just started playing the game who don't have the patience or experience yet, might enjoy the convenience of the deatmatches. I feel kinda hurt that you wanted to insult me :emptycan: but some of your points were effective :beans: . Thanks

Hey guys this my first message on this topic. Here is my idea: I want to create a radio station. I know this seems far fetched but does anyone know how to make this work? I can play music into my mic and do that but is there any other way that I can make it on a larger scale (The distance the sound goes) Ill keep this updated cause I have ideas. Don't take this too seriously Update: This will be in game
-
The problem I have with that is the time it takes to get there. I always spawn on the Eastern shore.
-
That's what I miss though, when you're fully looted and just want to find action quick. That was always my go-to place.
-
How do you get on the same line?
-
I'm not sure how walkie talkies work in game, I was thinking about it but I never really got a chance to explore with that
-
I was thinking in game but web page could be cool (if i figure it out :P)

Hey guys, I'm recruiting for an army of mercenaries: The Berezino Black Berets What we're about: We are about everything DayZ is about but we will be separated into different groups specializing in something: -Troops: Average DayZ players, probably going to be the biggest group. Focuses on simple objectives. Neutral -Bandits: Average DayZ bandit, works alone or in group. Focuses on killing anyone and everyone that isn't part of the BBB. Agressive -Tanks: Biggest best guns in Chernarus. Deadly machines working in small groups. Neutral -Heroes: The good guys. The guys that help out anyone and everyone. Usually carrying a lot of food and meds. Friendly -Assassins: The last thing you never saw. Quick and invisible. Deadly but humble. Neutral -Looters: The guys that hold together the crew. They supply each of the classes with the material they require. Neutral -Infiltrators: The messengers, the spies. They get the information for all the crew. Become imposters of other groups. As you can see there are many different groups. But each one will be representing the crew. Once there is enough people who join I will create a proper hierarchy and even create an Alpha team containing the best of the best of each group. Requirements: -Must have the the DayZ standalone and some experience -Speak english or french -Timezone: Between US Eastern and Pacific time -Know what type of player you are and which class you would fit in -Maturity, patience and loyalty towards your group -Any symbol to represent the Black Berets (Best option is a black beret or anything black) -Age is of no concern, but unless you are godly at the game, you will be lower on the hierarchy depending on your age and maturity -A mic isn't required but it would definitely be beneficial Contacts: -E-mail: psnchemicalpirate@gmail.com -Steam: Captain_Chem -PSN: Captain_Chem

Dayz Mod's essence is dead.
Captain_Chem replied to Audiophobia's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The point of the game is teamwork and cooperation. There surviving and looting but it's all that held together by teamwork. There really isn't winning in this game it more so thriving or simply surviving. -
Ya it's kind of a mix, when we aren't in tense situations, we can joke around and stuff, i don't like being serious all the time

Dayz Mod's essence is dead.
Captain_Chem replied to Audiophobia's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'm a newcomer to the standalone and the first thing that I did was kill. Every opportunity I got to shoot anyone, I took it. When I finally started teaming up (even if I was making a team of bandits) it made the game so much more fun. DayZ isn't about teaming up for good, it's about teaming up period. By playing by yourself, you're (not you specifically) missing the whole point of this game and will not "win". I haven't played the mod but by seeing what you've said, I can tell that people are acting the way I was like. If you're not having fun on the mod get the standalone, there's a ton more people willing to cooperate. -
