    pso-1 scope?

Looted today at least 7 times the mil. base with 4 baracks. Have been at least 4 of 7 times def. unlooted. Haven't found any scope there. Only AK's + handguards + buttstocks + magazines and other stuff.
  2. Just played on an official one (DayZ DE), no char wipe occured...
  3. .. or would you want it back if the wall glitches would be gotten fixed ? Personally i miss it, so many memories ...

    What has DayZ taught you?

Mainly orientation skills: - I will never again laugh at people running towards a destination straight forward and suddenly find themselves 10 km behind their starting point. Even though having a map... - The sun is your best friend. - After some time your brain even can save a 250km² terrain General: - Friends without patience are no support and more likely a danger - also they will die first. - People can be EVERYWHERE .. If you are on a server with only one other person you both will meet more sooner than later .. - Big teams are not necessarily stronger than a single person - Never snipe without someone watching your back . you are NEVER safe anywhere! - Mental state often decides winning or loosing a fight .. try not to panic - Two eyes are not enough

How to do a clean uninstall of DayZ?

Thank you very much! In fact the problem was because of Steam Cloud Synchronization. So now we made sure to uncheck this option for Dayz, then close Steam down and after that delete and reinstall everything. Also now i know how to edit the Favourites and History to my need, e.g. deleting just the History very quickly and so on :)
  6. Hi, yesterday we tried to remove and reinstall DayZ on a friends computer because he couldn't connect to any server (constantly getting "session lost" directly after connecting on every server). So we even removed the two DayZ folders in "AppData" and "Documents". After starting DayZ again every setting was reset except the server favourites and history. We even reinstalled Steam from scratch but still the same. My question: are the server lists saved also online with your character or did we miss some other config folder?

burying loot! make the shovel useful :)

The problem with the "search" command popping up could be solved if every tree would have this symbol by default. I imagine the first people going into the deep woods and loot every tree hoping to find something ^^ Lowering the tents into the earth would be also fine for me. Generally i just would like it to be very hard for others finding the loot (but not 100% impossible)

burying loot! make the shovel useful :)

A suggestion for implementing from a programmers sight: You could make various objects in the game have a sort of inventory. Let's say a tree. So one would "hide" his object (everything from pen to bagpack) in the "tree inventory" which would be burying it in real life. This could apply to everything like traffic signs, walls of houses etc .. Digging holes i think would mean to implement a completely new system into the game maybe producing lot's of new bugs. With the previous method you would use well known and proved mechanism. Generally user tents are a good idea but the fact that it's can be seen by any other player (is it true or are they invisible for everyone else?) leads to the wish of hiding my loot as i would in real life.
  10. Yesterday me and friends of mine had a bug, where no interaction with the env. was possible, right-clicking on inv. items gave only "receiving", no opening of doors was possible, when in a room with other players one would see them standing although they would move, and after 1-2 min there was always a "session lost". After i deleted the file, it was ok again. Still on some servers there is no interaction possible for the first 30 seconds, but after that the red chain can be seen and interaction is possible again. Thought i would leave this note here, as you often see people in the lower left with "session timed out" messages.
