I know the HEALING and HEALTGHY indicators already. But I never saw them the time after respawning. That's why I am so doubtful. And because of the amount of drinks I needed in order not to be thirsty any more.

Yes, I really wanted to kill someone last time. Normally I hide away and try to keep unseen. But on that day I just wanted to kill a bandit. Looting is nice for some time, but not enough. So let's rescue the world from evil bandits. The server (harcore) was full. Nearly 40 other players and I was east of Balota heading east. I went to Chernogorsk. All doors closed. No one here, just some few zeds. I went to Elektrozavodsk and saw some open doors. I climbed on high buildings to get a good overview. Nothing. Not one single player. No freshspan, no bandit not nothing. Even no zeds. Emptiness was all around. Why do I carry this damn M40 with me when there is nothing to shoot at? I ran along the rails to the north. Kamyshovo... Solnichniy... Still nothing. I checked the list of players. Was I suddenly all alone on this server? No, it is still full of people. But where are they? Berezino. And I really thought of doing some kind of suicide when I suddenly saw three guys running though that town. Two freshspawns and one with a crossbow. I met them in a house and quickly noticed that they were no bandits. So I left them alone again. I ran to the NEAF. Doors were open. Checked every building. Nothing. No one. Not a single player. After that I went into the near forest and logged out. --- Conclusion --- If you really want to meet players then don't join a full server and go into normally high active cities. That's not gonna work. You will run for hours and you will find no one. But next time, I'm very sure, I will join a 1 player server and somewhere in nowhereland I will run into this single player that will give me a headshot. ------ That was a little report about the frustrating sides of this game. ;)

Fishing in DayZ? What does that mean? Sitting at the shore and wait for a fish. And then - all of a sudden - YOU ARE DEAD! Are you really sure that fishing is going to be a good idea with all the bandits and KOSing guys?

I hate it! Yesterday evening a friend and I tried to play this game and it took (no joke!) 30 minutes until we were able to find a server that was usable. "Wait for host" was the first message we saw on about 3-4 servers. We cancelled that after some minutes waiting and changed the server. "Respawin in 99 secs..." After that the game didn't start either. "Ready - Please wait". We waited and pressed ESC and escaped from that server after some minutes. Then we found a server and after 5min running through the fields we were kicked. The next server kicked us right after joining it. The server name said nothing about such a behavior! Guys, that is really no fun. After starting DayZ you wait more than you are able to play. What a the reasons for that? Server with names "join = kick", "Only clan server..." etc is nothing I want to see.

Nobody needs to shoot me. I can die by myself. I was lying at the police station closely at the edge of the roof. Pressing E by mistake and seeing myself roling and landing on the sidewalk. All this fully equiped and far away from the normal spawnpoints.

30 minutes? That is quite fast. And fast enough in my eyes. This game should not be played only for an hour. You have to play it long dated. In 3hrs we ran from Scetlojarsk to the nwaf and lootet every spot that came our way. I think that is fast enough.

Not at all, my dear Feuerbart. Belive me, we were in Krasnostav and just wanted to go south to Gorka. We were well geared so so there was no need to loot an airfield. We also got problems that one of us was able to join and the other just got an "Ready - Please wait". Sometimes quite annoying.

I saw a lot of LP Videos on youtube. So I already knew much about the gameplay. The first time I just went looting in Elektro and got shot some times. I think that was a quite normal start as a complete n00b.

Also Svetlojarsk is common by newspawns. I saw many bambis there and I spawned around that city a few times as well.

To be honest, the best weapon for a zed are my fists. I stand sideways to the zed and punch it right on his temples. Normally it is dead after 2-4 hits. The point is that you can punch much faster than throwing the axe and so I am more successfull with them just by using no weapon at all.

It depends on the situation and the possible ways out, if there are any. If you're inside the prison upstairs and one or two fully geared bandits show up then I would answer their Hello with one or maybe ten hands in the air. The chance to catch a bullet is 92,75% so maybe a whispered Hello would help. Inside the airfield tower I would lie down below the stairs and wait. Then I would try to move out and find a good place to hide and aim for them as they get out. ;)

What about loot that spawns everywhere in all cities. Except weapons. Weapons will only spawn in one single city. And then, like the Hunger Games, 3...2...1...Go! All players have to run into that city and find the weapons. That would be a complete new way of PVP! :D

That could be a reason, Eadaif. The best way to get rid of a zed is by sending it to his maker. B)

Hi there, I recently had the problem, that two or three slots in a backpack and a vest were empty but I wasn't able to put somethin in it. The items I wanted to take with me were small enough to fit into a single slot. The background color of that slot was a bit brighter than the others that were filled with stuff. The backpack was only worn and the vest pristine. Is this "just" a bug or what could this mean? TIA! Tony

Yesterday I ran towards a zombie that was standing with its back to me. I stoped right behind took my axe and swoooosh. Later I was lying under a fir for minutes checking my equipment. I was not drinking, eating or reloading. So only my slow breath could be hearable. I was going to logout as I heard a zombie right next to me. I stood up and caught two hits. One zombie is not like any other zombie. Sometime they smell you for miles. The next day they're blind and deaf.

That map is missing some cities and major places (AFs etc.)

Hello, many times I got problems while joining a sever. Regardless of HC or REG. I pick it out of the list and get connected. The system loads and after some seconds there is a "Please Wait" in the middle of the screen and a READY in the bottom left corner. The READY disappears after some time and that's all. Please wait. I waited for minutes, but nothing happens. Bei pressing ESC I see the surroundings of the area I am in, but I am just able to wait or exit. Do you know the reason for this? TIA and beans for all! :D Tony

The problem is that the next login will take a bit longer. Sometimes I had to wait 180secs for spawning. You wait longer to join a useable server than you'll play the game. Believe me.... ;)
