maybe you play on experimental branch. if you do so, every update you lose your character. at least i lost mine after the new experimental patch

zombies cant see through walls or obstacles. if you are close they can hear you, maybe that made you think that the zombies can see through walls.

health regeneration is fast enough. i guess you never experienced being fully hydrated and energized... -
AKM, thats nice. now you can have a hard hitting assault rifle 7.62x39mm ammo. i saved some of my ammo just for this one. wont use any scope for it because they look ugly. wont spray it also because the wood is just classy.

i bet you have a fail rate of 50%+- IRL when you do that "fast reload"

how about. if someone shoots, all zombies in the hearing radius (1km for example) walk toward the sound (not running just slowly walking there) currently zombies aggro the shooter within 100 meters and run towards the player not the sound source. so if there is a firefight, all zombies walk towards it and if you are unlucky, the zeds see you. even if you are not the source of the sound when they see you in front of their path they aggro you (just as the normal SA aggro) and forget about the path towards the sound until there is another shot etc. the zombie priority is (like everyone should know) vision then hearing. this mechanic could lead into hiding somewhere the zeds wont see you (in a house, behind a pack of straw etc) while the zeds move on. Its totally the walking dead. that would also form hordes randomly generated by the players, when the zeds gather. this would mean that it just needs more zombies to create hordes. atm lets say there are 50 zeds in a 1000 meter radius. if the devs increase it to 200 it would be a horde already walking slowly towards player hot spots. for this mechanic to work balanced the zeds should not glitch trough buildings / walls and the zeds must walk when they hear sounds not run! if they see a player they start running. thats my "idea" to make hordes randomly generate by players.

i think the most realistic way for people to trade is actually not adding any kind of trading currency stuff. they want a walkie talkie, you want a ammo box, you trade like it would be natural. currency is not needed at all, trading dynamically. that would be realistic

i think dayz doesnt need something like this. even though the KOSers annoy me, it is a game play element

heavy breathing is in also when you run alot you have shaky arms and cant hit with accuracy

when player met other players they dont know, there is a random event. i hoped for helicrash sites but they said it should be all playergenerated.. zombie hordes are planned, as far as i heard

i thought about double tap for zombies. because, humans can survive headshots. and if the zeds activity region in the brain was not hit, it wont kill it. you might also hit the chest and the zombie "dies" partially if you directly hit the spinal cord so the zed cant move its legs / arms. the devs need to implement zeds that can walk through buildings properly. then there should be more zeds per city. and at last zombie hordes that fu***** kill you if you dont shoot them. this would reduce KOS. if you can barely survive alone you do think about working with people. but problem is, bandits team up. but if there are more zeds in cities, if bandits shoot they gonna be wasted. this supports robbery which is a good game element. some KOS is to be tolerated because it is realistic.

Zpocalypse must be annoying. i want that as well. if zeds are dead in dayz SA they land on their back. i think if the stand up timer was random and the dying animation was the same as the knocked out animation it would be good. double tap with 7.62 is not needed. but 5.56, .22 , 9mm , etc. atm .22 lets the zombie fall and stand up again so you would need 2 shots to kill them (in the head) random zombie health would also help so zombies might stay down even if you only shot once with .22 so the player things "ah only one shot, ok". learning process would it be after that you cant be shocked because you always double tap with low calibers. what i like is the fact that the zeds now damage you even if you run away (when they jump). it forces you to deal with them if you have no obstacles to lose them. shooting zeds should be necessary in zombie games. i didnt use my gun in dayz for 30 days. huge amount of ammo for nothing. i hate it when i shoot once, bandits appear to kill me.

they need to make it so 5.56 guns need headshots to take out a zombie in one hit, bodyshots 2 and zombie need to get broken legs

i wait for that feature because they made a trailer of dayz standalone with suicide in it so it is wrong advertising if they dont bring it in

the pso will fit on SKS, SVD, AKM but i dont like the look -
the devs know that. im sure in the full game the items are going to get to another stage of damage. when a zombie hits you in the chest, there is a chance that one or multiple items get from (for example) pristine to worn etc

so true. the other guy is like a genius of categorization. your suggestion is rather good. i bet there are millions of people that would try this when Zpocalypse was there. but i guess it doesnt deserve too much dev time when in alpha. but it is going for most suggestions

blood trails would be really good.

if ammo was rare, bandits would just kill everyone to get ammo from them. is the same thing. maybe it is going to increase the hold ups and robbery stuff. but i like when finding stuff is hard so i support you. i find it too easy to find stuff. when dayz SA was released for early access i liked the fact that there was not much to find. also in reality it would be the same, the survivors would take everything and when i arrive i only find open doors and nothing else. and if ammo was rare the server hopper would come and have enough ammo the people that are not server hoppers would have not enough ammo. when zombies are a real threat in the future with wandering hordes, ammo will be just fine. otherwise you would have no ammo to kill those zeds. on the other hand if ammo was rare you would need other survivors so you survive zombie hordes. its a tricky thing.

Some Ideas (self made Furcloth + creatable Ghillie + survival Spear)

So i had some ideas for DayZ when i was in the bathroom (lol). With the new hunting in DayZ SA i thought how about self made fur-cloth. In real life i hate the fur industry, but in a Z-apoc where it is about survival and it being a game, i dont think it would be bad to have that. i thought about like a rabbit fur on your head. also you should be able to make the fur cloth better looking with needle and thread or something like that. not only rabbit headcloth but also deerchest and a deer-fur backpack maybe. for sure you need to have more than just the fur to create those clothes it might me a fun loot-quest. For insane bandits there might be a human skin cloth brand new and totally mentally ill!! Or how about zombie ear necklaces like in The Walking Dead? My other idea was to make a ghillie suit out of grass + leafs + something to keep it on your body. As i like the "evolve" stuff you should maybe find a professional ghillie with a very very low chance of spawning in military lootspawns. the ghillies should look different etc. for players that a less attached to military loot spawns you should always have another option. So for the wilderness survivalist you have sick looking gear which i would like to wear. A spear could be easily made. Why we should have it? Because it is stylish. There could be different kinds of spears like a ashwood stick (already existing) + a bayonet. this would be the tier 1 spear. you should of course be able to improve it by using higher grade mats. And i know there is a pitch fork which is also a spear but i just dont like it. i would like to hear what you think of those ideas. (im not too good in english so be mercyful)
