    Dayz init.sqf error

    I've looked all over the internet, and I am planning to totally quit on this. I have no problem joining servers. The problem is my character generation. It never happens. I've gotten booted to the desktop with an accompanying message. I have DayZ Epoch 1.0.4.2 downloaded, I believe my ArmA 2 and OA is up to date(Via steam,automatic updates), when the loading screen displays after selecting which survivor i would be, it would just seem to stay there for about 30 secs-3 mins and then it crashes with the message. I have heard that I need to edit the init.sqf file, but I do not know which pbo file, and what directory it is in. Please help.
