Dayz at its finest - when you want something, forget it. You said that all bases that you have found were already withered... Maybe - just maybe - there is more to it. Maybe its a technical problem, something with loot tables. If its unofficial you could always ask owner/admins. But i suspect that its just bad luck.
-
If you're determined then three options are always available: 1) trade for them with others, 2) raid to get them or 3), do a big trip outside your usual range of activity and check every single building out there. Seen that problem of yours many times over the years; Some people couldn't get something while others were getting that all the time. Especially common thing on hardcore servers.

There is a reason why people were living up to 40 years in the past and why they're living 70 on average currently. "Pure" water in nature exists, but its very rare and very deadly to most lifeforms. I know of some orchids that could use such water but people simply cannot.

Randomly dead for no reason? me and my friend.

If so, then the only thing he can do is to find an unofficial server with active administration and start anew. Official servers are full of cheaters. Let's not call their garbage 'hacking' because they're not hacking, just using cheating software. They're google's lusers, not hackers. Official servers only exist for marketing either way. Real "DayZ" started as a mod and must be modded. And don't get me wrong - there are cheaters on unofficial stage as well. But at least unofficial give a chance for some justice. Bohemia DOESN'T CARE if all their costumers will lose their time because of cheaters. They're proving it each day and with every update. "Daze" and PS4? Who told you to do that? To buy it? You go now. Find that person and discuss your experiences then. "Daze" needs PC. It will work on any platform but that would be it. Mods, updates, some support - pretty much PC only.
-
Ask developers through their support platform and they will probably give you the same answer - your pcs components are lacking. "DayZ" is not your usual video game. It had multiple small patches over the years which forced its requirements higher. So what if you're not playing but just sitting in menu? Program is still taking memory, the longer it works the more it takes. It makes sense that your pc is crashing one way or another - it can't withstood "DayZ" needs. https://feedback.bistudio.com/project/view/2/ - ask them if you're unconvinced.

Sorry to say it but your problem is pretty much hardware oriented. 8gb is a bare minimum for a game - but what about os? what about every other program that your computer is running in a background? Memory is not made from rubber - it won't expand on its own. You need to have at least 16gb nowdays. Its THE standard nowdays like 8gbs was a decade ago. GPU isn't good enough as well. I was having similar problems years back because of my old GPU. "DayZ" needs something better than measly 650. Also check your hard drive - best scenario is decent SSD (speed-wise). The only thing that should suffice is your CPU - i mean i was playing this game on i5 760 (first gen) not too long ago.
-
There is virtually no chance for you to get that answer. There really is no q&a with developers - not on this address at least. This place is just a switchboard.
-
Well, official ones don't even have active admins, so it's propably because of default settings. It makes sense for BI - less work when less changes between different places.
-
i'm pretty sure it is like that... it's even mentioned in unofficial wika so it has to start somewhere...
-
that free fire game must have less hackers than the official servers

But hey - new servers are being launched it's how they deal with cheating issue - more servers so cheaters will get confused where to cheat! -
https://dayz.com/faq Aah!! Why are the infected so fast/hard/angry? (...) These people are very much alive, unlike the traditional "zombie", and thus can be killed with shots to the body - rather than just head shots. The player characters in DayZ are immune to this virus, and therefore do not "turn" into the infected when attacked. Thankfully there is no rage-virus is the game. All needs balance. If one feature is taking over gameplay it's not funny anymore. Some people are finding "IntenZ" interesting and some - like me - not. Simply too much is happening there. Players have complete drugstores with them. In a world that should have very little usuable meds left it doesn't make sense. Some is good, too much is bad. Balance. And finally about the main topic here... The damage infected deal is too naive in my opinion. Npcs stop their onslaught as soon as their target lose consciousness... It's too interaction oriented! People are treating npcs like garbage because of that. In my opinion rage-driven infected should at least try to rip its target apart. Not randomly stop because script is forcing such outcome. Is this survival game or not? The second biggest problem is bleeding mechanic. It's too random. It seems that type of clothing has nothing to do with bleeding. I can uderstand wolves and bears - they have means to inflict loss of blood with every attack. But unarmed people? Seems like specially designed clothing is not that special at all. More slots, more camo, some wind/water proofing - that's it. I'd say: less slots and more environmental proofing. Or gradual degrading of clothes. Worse condition = less slots (more holes in their pockets), bigger probability of bleeding wounds and of course (like it is now) less insulation. Oh! before i forget... Infected must have their priorities straighten up. Its like this: player A shots player B with a very loud weapon. Its so loud that people can hear it from miles. Some infected are alarmed and usually chase the victim, player B, because being shot or ricochet is higher in priority than the shot itself. Npcs seems to ignore louder event and are more interesed in the last known trigger for their rage. This is absurd. Absolutely insane type of thinking in BI. And also a type of additional punishment for those being assaulted with guns.

? Wasn't this game taking info about weather from servers location and general time of the year? Meaning more rain during winter season. And it does help in pvp because noise is semi muffled and infected are dumber when it pours. Less infected = less hindrance.
-
You'd be wrong about that. It's "DayZ" that's a sidekick. In fact it's a just a little game for them. Also, without "ARMA" there would be not any "DayZ" at all. https://www.bohemia.net/blog/bohemia-interactive-sales-reaching-68-milion-usd-in-2019 this is interesting. It's not 100% accurate of course, no doubt some hidden numbers here and there but it gives an impression. ps. and yes - its and old data. COVID happened as well.

North-West Airfield. The biggest airport in the game.

Hmmm... Sounds like Burer. https://stalker.fandom.com/wiki/Burer

in my opinion NWA; People were always going there in order to kill others or at least they knew it very well may happen. Other than that every military installation and towns farthest from spawn points. In reality though - you may come across pvp situation anywhere anytime. Usually when you least expect it.
-
You go now. Forza needs you badly.

Shhhhhhh... *You have touched a very sensitive taboo-like topic* A future of this.

https://feedback.bistudio.com/project/view/2/ report this here. It's the only official way for solving any problems with this game. Here chances are slim at best. Usually there are workarounds for problems such as these but finding exact one is a chore. Also have a problem like that and no fix was ever found. I suspect hardware in my case.

"(...)Electronic codelocks will ruin it all. And the bases will be made too strong." - i've raided enough of those as a solo player to be certain that it won't be a case. With hacksaws, sledgehammers, explosives and mistakes of their owners. It was always by taking chances, even with all the planning and preparing. You just need a valid method and no type of lock will be a problem. If you have a clan that roams all day everyday, then they will have dozens of barriers either way. Most people don't have time for that and so their bases are equally small. I'm absolutely certain about this. It is impossible to balance that other than making rules such as "5 gates per group" (or 5 gates per workbench that cannot be stacked in vicinity) which is strictly PVP oriented setting. Its wrong to think that strong bases are bad because they're existing. Raider is not obliged to attack indiscriminately everything in sight. Wise person knows when and when not to. To chose fitting target. People were having that kind of discussions many times over the years and it was always the same. Those who put less effort were victims of those who put massive effort. And this is normal. Survival of the strongest, and weak will die. Also - you're saying that opening dozens of automatic locks is kinda lazy? What about building them? Is this laziness? You need to invest a lot of time to build a big base. My personally biggest one had like 100 gates? It was one of those hardcore servers and there was like 2 or 3 codelocks on the map all the time. I took me hundreds of hours to get materials, then it took me hundreds of hours to actually use all that. And don't let me start about gathering wood. I was building without cars and the nearest tree was like 400m meters away. Putted all the effort only to be killed by cheaters with ESPs in the end xd. Well! i've said too much. Combilocks are just... stupid. No bikes, yet these locks are spawning everywhere. Not to mention that currently they're completely hacked. There is cheating software dedicated for raiding them. Of course no response from BI.

bots these days are scary...

Three digits = used for griefing Four digits = used as a means of torture Five digits = torture extraordinaire. What needs to be really done is complete rework of building feature. 1) workbench which allows to build in certain vicinity and which also allows to craft certain important things and to fix building tools (shovels, pickaxes, hammers etc). 1.1) special materials spawned in the same manner as lumber piles throughout the map. Scrap metal from piles of scrap. 1) gate is a joke. What metal wire? Lets look at basic wooden crate. It has proper hinges. It also has a simple lock for nonexistent padlock. Hinges are they way to go, padlocks as well. Padlocks are a common thing everywhere. Combination locks from bicycles are groundless simply because there are no bicycles in the game. Game needs craftable doors, gates, trapdoors and foundable padlocks. Hinges and other things could be crafted via workbench with found scrap metal and some basic tools like pliers and hammers. This whole addition creates a ground for base building. Workbench could be used as biggest survival stationary tool and also as a decoration. Currently dayz bases are pretty much hoarding camps. Barrels, boxes, containers - nothing else. 2) walls of different shapes so blocking windows and alike will not be a problem anymore. Currently in order to block the smallest window, one needs to build an entire frame for it. It's a waste of materials and a waste of time - it does not have anything to do with survivalism. Its just: do it that way or don't do it at all because no other option is available. Hate me now.

Modders tried to exploit flying mechanics of olgas, and so they've created choppers! Basically olgas with rotors. Even with means such as these newly created monster is still as unpredictable as it was before. Meaning: no kind of chimera-programming will work. This game needs stability in every department. Cutting corners will not do. I called that photo "hubris", because that's what it is. BI, you all wanted to make something big in this 2022? No amount of guns will ever make it happen. Livonia is a failure product. Events are not enough. And let's forget about this "vehicle simulation" progress. Already seen what that means. Major character controller changes and fixes? How about stairs? Any stairs will do. What about them? Are they still acting like usual? No change of pace, no difference for any kind of movement? Thought so. I'm gonna leave here an idea for you. "Now that the winter holidays are approaching"..., your game still does not have proper winter setting available for admins to chose. The so-called "winter chernarus/livonia/..." mods are garbage. They always were and always will be. Modded winter is outrageously ugly and simple. It's a perfect target for you, BI, to exploit that demand. But - it can't be done half-assed like toxic zones were. Toxic zone mod is still better than your version difficulty&immersion wise.

But hey - no flying party buses, right?
