I have a new hard drive now. So now I have my old HDD with 150GB free out of 1TB, a new 1TB hard drive, and 2 external HDD with 500GB. And the lag is only getting worse. It was horrible tonight, desync as soon as I got in the server and when I get in I'm frozen for about 30 seconds from it before I can move. Which means if there is another player or a zombie near me I'm screwed

Keep an eye out for the notification in red in the chat box. Sometimes I'll log into a server and my screen will be all black and a text will pop up saying something along the lines of "Your character model could not be loaded and has been reset, and Administrator has been notified"

I've tried using Nvidia Experience to optimize it and it was still the same. I apologize! I meant i5-3470 not 3460

No more cities!! I enjoy pvping in the open field with all of my FPS. Going to Svet is a lagfest! Too many cities for this horrible engine.

Hey, a friend of mine and I purchased a server from GameServers. The only restart option is for every two hours, and that wouldnt be a problem except for the fact that when the server is reset it wont go back up for about 20 minutes. No one can get past "waiting for host". We've asked them about both of these, and GameServers said the two hour restarts are required by dayz (Ive seen servers with four hour restarts??) And the wait time has nothing to do with them, but it "may be" because of the latest patch pushed out by DayZ and they "hope" theres a fix for it later. Any help on our problems?

There's enough people turning away from this game because cant handle the glitches. Adding that amount of complication will drive more away. Hackers would rule the world with their unlimited ammo whole youre attempting to load one single bullet. Maybe having that as a hardcore gaming mode? -

Well if we're going for realism then we should be able to rob those banks too! ;p I dont think banks would be a good idea. I think using supplies as currency is a better idea instead of actual cash.

Were you able to get out? Sometimes when you load into the games the surroundings don't fully render.

This game took me a few days to memorize. A big part of it was that I was lucky and was found by a clan my first few minutes into the game itself. They had me join their teamspeak and from there I followed them, learning the names of the towns and the routes. Usually you'll learn the landmarks, Berezino has the smoke stack by the docks, Svet has the giant church in the middle with a huge statue, etc etc. It's a learning process that doesn't happen overnight unfortunately. If you look at iZurvive or DayzDB, you'll be able to pinpoint your landmarks or road shapes to the corresponding shapes on the map to see your exact location.

There's a lot of posts I didn't read before me, so I apologize if this was already said lol. If you had just logged in, logged out, then logged back in, then you probably killed yourself. But considering you heard footsteps I doubt it. I've witnessed a hacker in action one time actually take gear off of a clan member without killing them or even being visible. His gear just started to disappear off of his body, then the next person. -

I've seen loot in them before, nothing too big. Maybe an empty ammunition clip on the floor or something. -
I would use an Axe in experimental since it's useful for other items as well. But in the other DayZ version I use a Machete, I found that with a couple of good hits in the head the zombie goes down quick. A large majority of the time I get a good one hitter in there as well.
