why would you? im walking home and grab my key out of my backpack while i walk in order to open the house door. It might take a bit longer than grabbing it out of my pants yea, but I dont think this feature would contribute to the gameplay. just my opinion. I support you on the idea of taking a backpack and run away with it to check its ingredients afterwards, especially if you knocked someone out with hands, it should not be possible to kill someone so easily after that too btw! (also with hands)

isnt it confirmed we will be having such a feature? sending signals from radio towers. not sure where I read about it but I did :)

heyho i experience heavy game crashes recently. Yes I would say this is happening since the latest patch. Dayz all of a sudden freezes, imagine i keep walking ingame- i hear my footsteps. Nothing really happens after that so I went into task manger to check the status and it say the game is now inactive. Seein the HDD degree of capacity utilization reaching 100% for a short time... my pc is quite new but buggy sometimes, yet nothing similar happened so far. if you guys know anything fixing the game files/installation/ that could help please share:) i will check my whole pc soon as well luke

hi i have a blackscreen after joining a server. I can hear my footsteps and even the difference of ego/3rd person. i see the crosshair and the item bar at the bottom but nothing else X( any idea how to fix this?

kicking bandits, right. go play tetris please :D the only players to kick are cheaters and for that we need kind of a battle log which saves IP adresses so the admin can instantly ban such little and pointless beeings

There was no certain topic about it yet but I think if you zoom in with your gun, especially with mosin and m4 the gun looks very tiny. Is this a matter of field of view? Isnt it possible to set the fiel of view to a lower value if you do so? Zooming in with iron sight on your m4 you kind of have a scope as small as a coin, this gives me a bad feeling :(

i also suggested a giant snow covered mountain in the north somewhere. would be great and the features you list are well chosen

unrealistic. thats dayz, always be aware of where your teammates are, always have the right communication, to know every step your teammates do. thats the challenge to survive as a group

or punch with your gun, and if you press space and got a bayonet attached it also works like a weapon

Hello hello there! I thought of how it's possible to get rid of deathmatch gameplay in dayz without disappointing those players eventhough I dont like this kind of gamestyle. I had the idea of 2 different game modes in dayz. - the normal survival gamemode, find food drinks clothes, group up, rob other people with handcuffs etc and go on to another place - how the game should work! - and the second one, yes we could directly call it dayz deathmatch with own maps. for example you have a server with a mappool of elektro, berezino airfield of balota etc. i know this would just be like call of duty but a lot of people like the combination of survival and shooting. so why not? this game mode would attract those people who just sit in the bush and wait for anything that moves to shoot. seriously, i have no other idea of how to get rid of them. so if you start the game and search a server in the serverlist you see the mapnames DM_Elektro, DM_Berezino etc or the whole map as we know it Chernarus so nobody of them would join the server with the whole map running would they? :D isn't this something worth discussing?

calm down youngster it was a suggestion and i am not convinced of this modes also but it came to my mind, if you dislike it keep your beans and contribute to something else as im trying to do so to the game. thx

i havent travelled all of cheranus yet, so if there are no mountains with snow covered tops I'd wish one giant mountain in the north with that! also one giant river, it's source on top of the mountain i mentioned, flowing into the sea. with several bridges and small ports along the river more to add soon

doesnt dayz play in times of cold war? have there been lifestraws at that time already?

Hellou! I'd like to start playing DayZ Standalone but im quite unsure whether its going to run fluently. I meet the minimum specs but that never meaningful! My system specs: amd athlon 64 x2 dual core 6000+ 3,09 Ghz 2 GB Ram geforce 9800 gt 512 mb further, is there a possibility to once install DayZ and play it for a short time to get a feeling if its fine or not? Sincerely, ameise! :)
