Yes, i know some servers turn off side channel... But sometimes I see people talk with blue text... (which is the side channel) But I do not get this option on the certain server? Also, could someone tell me a server that does have side channel? I know Chicago 30 did, but that server does not seem to be working.

hmm... Would you be able to give me a server that has allowed the side channel by a DayZ staff? Or how would I know if they were allowed by the DayZ staff... thanks :D

^ dang lucky ^^ I seem to have troubled finding them sometimes, right now I do not have a box of matches as I have EVERYTHING that could be needed to repair a vehicle into pristine condition, and I don't want to risk that stuff. So :/ hopefully I don't lose to much blood until I find a vehicle to repair :D Trying to find a fuel efficient vehicle like an ATV but I will take anything I find ;P Does an ATV or a motorcycle flip easier? Lol guess I kinda got off topic -.- But you can also light garbage cans on fire, does this require matches? I forget, but I don't think so. I wonder if you can cook on them ;3? Also died and spawned somewhere where there was like a military camp, sneaked past the zeds and there was this large pile of debris you could light on fire, I did so. I wonder if you can cook on that?

Umm the only place I've ever found a box of matches is in a super market, this was early in the morning right when everything spawned on the server basically. (yes things respawn when everything is taken, but how many people really take the tin cans?) When you find a city before you go into it it will have a sign with the name of the city on it, find a map and find which roads to follow to get north. Good luck ^^

Silly you, you can't hide them off map anymore. They took that out ^^ your vehicle will be taken and respawned into the game, if you do try and hide it off map. There is no safe place, as said before, even off map wasn't rly "safe"

You have to go into steam and run Arma CO: (arma 2 and OA) and if that doesn't fix it you need to see if you have any faulty files in the Steam Arma CO. Happens all the time in steam, just validate the files.

My 2 cents, honestly I never complain about losing my gear, I know it's going to happen whether it be from bandits, having an outhouse door close on my stomach causing me to have extensive bleeding and broken bones leading to death, or from zeds... In all honesty though if you have encountered 10 people and 7 were friendly you have some great luck. All of the people I have come across have tried killing me. Also, in real life people wouldn't kill people like they do in dayz, it's human nature. And you can't create human nature in a game because you know you're not literally shooting someone. Where as on a game you can just shoot someone to reach a higher gain without actually killing someone.

Is it worth getting TrackIR 5 Pro Bundle, just for DayZ ^^? Actually there is this other game that's in pre alpha, a space MMO I might get when it reaches beta (I want to make sure it truly takes off, considering it only has 17k purchased).

I recently found fuel tank parts, engine parts, 2 car wheels, and a jerrycan (full of gas) I'm wondering if this would be able to repair any vehicle :/ I'm thinking it would for sure repair a motorcycle.... maybe :/? I did try finding the guide but can't find it -.- sorry lol

I'd have to disagree to staying away from big cities ^^ I would say use crouch and prone (X, and Z) (C to stand back up) and also use shift (slow walk) to get past the zombies, yes they will still aggro on you if you get to close but it helps to get past them into a good loot spot :D and if you die it rly doesn't matter cause you have nothing on ^^ All else seems good. Also running past a building and crouching SOMETIMES works to unaggro zombies. Dunno if that still works but it used to.

Question how is it realistic that you would wake up in the MIDDLE no more like the END of an apocalypse with NOTHING... I believe you'd have at least a backpack or you would have died by now ^^. Honestly, this stuff you guys try hiding behind realistic aspects in fact is only to make it harder for noobs. And if you deny that then it is 100% sad. Honestly I don't care if you start off with a pack or not ;P I can always find one and I usually find one before I fill up the character space. I just hate it when people try and hide changes they want in the "realistic" category when in fact it does the opposite.

The work it takes to get a vehicle up and running trumps ammo imo.
