Hey guys whenever I load up the game my mouse jusy doesn't respond so I can't click on change server or anything... I tried just using the arrow keys to select a server and managed it but now in the game as well The mouse isn't working.. I can move around and turn different directions just fine but when I press tab to bring up my backpack my cursor won't move?

I was just watching Marimio's latest youtube upload (for those who don't know of him he's a battlefield youtuber.) And he had a brilliant idea about what he thinks will make a dayz a better game and stop people Killing on sight.. When you spawn in as a fresh character after you die or first play the game you should have a proffesion like what you did before the zombie apocalypse. For example: Doctor can help heal people and fix broken legs etc. Mechanic can help fix vehicles etc. Soldier better with firearms and can set up land mines etc. Chef can prepare badlt damaged food etc. Hunter good at hunting and tracking etc. These are just a few ideas that Martimio started and I've elaborated on so every time you die and respawn you get a random proffesion and people will be more inclined to team with people if they need a certain person in their group rather than just killing them. Now I know what your all thinking everyone is just going to kill themselves until they get the soldier proffesion which would obviously just ruin the game again so there would need to be a way to counter this. Thoughts?

I think most of you will agree the melee combat in this game is a little boring and it takes too long. I'm not complaining and I know it is being worked on and more things will come soon. I don't know if any of you guys have played "State of Decay" I really enjoyed the melee fighting mechanics in that, like when the zombie is on it's knees you could smash it's skull with your knee to finish. And when you have beaten it to the floor you could do a well almost a golf swing to it's head to finish it off. Now the golf swing finish would only work with baseball bats, golf clubs and poles / sticks for example. While axes could do something else like swinging the axe behind your head and burying it into the skull of the zombie. And so on for other weapons. This is the sort of melee fighting I would like to see, would you guys like to see something similar?

Please delete any suggestion or discussion about "rape" and "torture." In a nutshell it is disgusting and offensive. I'm getting quite tired of people saying "it's not real it's a game." Who cares real or not it's degrading and pathetic! It isn't something that should be suggested or discussed, it's disgusting.

I hope you get raped and tortured then you will realise it's not something that should implemented in anything let alone a game.

Words fail me. You obviously have no idea what rape and torture etc does to someone. Video games and media have a huge influence on on the people that play/watch them. The guy who massacred those teenagers on that island was a huge CoD fan. 8 year olds probably play this game I don't think anyone at any age at all should be exposed to rape and torture in real life or virtualy. If you want sick things like this see a doctor or make a mod for yourself and rape and torture people.

Torture is disgusting, deranged and sick. It has no place in a game.

This is a "survival" game hancuffing yourself isn't survivng its stupid.

Stupid idea one person will read it and it'll get put in the DayZ wiki like everything else.

I know this has been mentioned before but this is fucking ridiculous! When I log out of a server I do it in some bushes in the middle of a forest, somewhere where people are not likely to be when I log back in. But for the 14th time now I've logged in to a black screen hearing zombies hitting me and I spawn unconcious... wake up on the floor surrounded by zombies and its the same old story; crawl half a yard fall un concious again. There needs to be a short 5-10 second grace period whenever you log in to a server you cannot be hurt. And you cannot deal out any damage. This would just be so much better. Thoughts?

I live 20 miles from the nearest town and even on a over cast night with no moon and stars I can see.

Neverread such a brilliant idea! A zombie game without zombies. I was thinking someone should mod arma to have zombies in it ?
