Hi all, The once popular http://global-gaming.co.uk/ server is now back up as a private shard. The GlobalGaming server was one of the most popular standalone servers holding the top ranked stop for over a month and constantly in the top 10 until we pulled it down last month due to reliability issues and the upcoming shard release, well it's now live. We have active & fair admins, also ts3 for members and whitelisting will be enabled as soon as its ready. The server is 3pp and currently set to daytime with no game play restrictions & Persistence IS ENABLED. Hope to see you wondering around our Chernarus soon. IP address = 37.220.17.170:2502 GG WOLF.

The only way to achieve something like this is do it manually I'm afraid :( I've just started doing something for our website/server (top 5 killers per month) Takes about 5 minutes using notepad++ & search.

Your gut instinct is usually right my friend ;) what ou need to look for is the times associated and the player that disconnected within the "acceptable" timeframe, usually they'll log back in not long after. We've banned close on 200 players abusing this in the last month and I'm not talking about the odd one time but repeat offenders. Ask yourself a simple question "in all your time of playing this game how often have you killed someone whilst they were logging out?" Within the answer you'll see that the logs represent a different pattern ;) -
Hi guys, Anyone else's Vilayer Shards or servers for that matter just taken a nose dive roughly an hour ago? We just lost access to both our shards and cant see any Vilayer server showing in the server list either? Thanks in advance for any insight given.

Yeah it's the same for us, I'm on 2 screens struggling and my fellow admin is struggling with 3 screens. A great idea would be if it either ran like DaRT or DaRT updated their software to stream the Kill logs too (I have a feeling it will be that the later is more likely, hence why DaRT was created in the 1st place :( ) Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate what the devs are doing, it just needs to function realistically and allow us to carry out the other tasks that co inside with these logs more efficiently.

Understand, what would you need from us to push this further? From what I can gather it just streams the same as the player connect/disconnect/chat does from the server. But I have very limited knowledge on the subject, but any help I can be in pushing this forward I'll do my best. Again, great tool, really makes server admin roles THAT MUCH easier, thanks. -
Yeah we managed to get it working thanks. I appreciate that it's early days but I hope there will be some improvement made upon these logs? As it's quite hard to get it to function with other tools such as DaRT, ts3, browsers etc all open on one screen. Ie I'm in ts3 with a player who saying he's been killed by a hacker, I need DaRT open because it's easier to ban IP/GUID + set a comment for such a ban if needed, but also the player killed message could do with being in a different font etc. Also tools like DaRT tend to stay running for the most part unless there's a crash, but these logs tend to only last for 10mins before needed to be refreshed. Great work so far though, just hope we'll see an improvement.

We're with Vilayer and I'm told the new tools are streamed directly via your ACPlayer through log viewer or something. Guess we have to wait for the GSP's to catch up and implement tools to support the new logs. As yet we see chat logs via log viewer but no kill/damage logs?

After a DDOS incident that knocked us out of the top 20, were now back to 6th. All we need now is decent admin tools and our server will be top notch ;)

OK, so we've gone back to the old tried & tested 2hr restarts persistence off, and well we've had 3 solid days of full server currently debating whether to up the slots to 50-man? Thanks to all for stopping by recently, see you in Chernarus GG_WOLF

It's called self preservation which is based on the permadeath essence of the game. The game by default induces paranoia to survive. When you're up at the NWAF the last thing you want is to be shot in the back by an AK that you walked past 10 minutes earlier. As for giving "under geared players a gun even if it puts myself at risk" well that's entirely up to you as there is NO right or wrong way to play the game hence see above, it's all about the choices we make because this game allows for those choices. Nothing we do is "douchebaggery"
