    1st person dying breed

    Well I'm certainly not keen on having a restricted FOV whilst having to deal with silent sometimes invisible zombies all while struggling to find anything useful on persistence enabled servers to not starve or freeze to death, the game is hard enough now it stops being remotely fun when you have to double tap alt constantly just to make sure nothings just about to smack you when any normal person would have heard and seen that zombie sprint right up to you from that angle. First person is just annoying as it is it's neither hardcore nor realistic it's just a chore. Of course it's not any less realistic than third person but it's nice being able to avoid zombies somewhat since they chase you like forever, are a bitch to hit half the time and spawn in backup. I wonder if any game will be able to make first person properly imitate the real FOV? Are we really going to have to wait for complete virtual reality? If it's enabled in the server you're on there is no value to not using third person, people are going to use it against you why give them an edge over you.

    Zombie Classification

    I don't notice that at all because most zombies chase me like 20 minutes XD I usually have to sprint for 5-10 minutes before they get far away enough to finally not be able to see me but even then they seem to keep running in the same direction until they do see me and the chase will be on again. I hope they severely nerf their vision in future, like 30-50m radius but good hearing so if you knock anything over or throw stuff around you're gonna get swarmed.

    It doesn't seem slow down so much as it does get bored though if you go near them again or stop they start running again... Still they're part of a subclass in the zombie genre, so zombie isn't incorrect. Going deeper in to the genre and calling them undead would be wrong a zombie label isn't really it's just not the complete truth. Just annoying seeing all the snappy comments about ugh they're not zombies you cretin! Like who really cares? We know what people mean when they say zombies or infected or zeds etc etc just stop being nitpicky. (not aimed at you, that kind of people) Anyway they need to run out of stamina and be done for a few minutes not have a few second timer before they can run full speed again, same with the player of course but a healthy person should be able to run away from a zombie easily unless they're fat and slow.

    That's the best thing ever. Anyway I'd love it if we could vault over things, as in place a hand on a fence for instance and jump over. And maybe vaulting over walls too, like when you swing over them if that makes sense. Of course you should have your weapons put away to use the latter and when stamina is introduced it should burn it like wildfire but it could still save your life.

    And also near infinite stamina. I'd like to know what the boundaries are going to be for them in future, it doesn't make sense for them to be able to run all that long unless the lack of food is because they chow down on all of it, their bodies just shouldn't be able to function. Like with 28 Days Later eventually the infected started starving to death, unless they come out and say they're infected through some supernatural means they need to limit them greatly in future. Also can we all just call them zombies? It's a fairly broad term, there's no need to have zombie games and infected games when they're an incredibly minor detail from being the same thing. There's not much of a need to call them infected when who they were is most definitely dead, infected suggests curable which is silly in this game world. They're basically running corpses with animalistic urges and nothing more. They're still just dead people just not decaying like standard living dead type zombies.

    I don't see why not so long as it's tastefully done. Like the camera pans away, I don't want to see shit coming directly from my guys asshole thank you. Of course people are going to be immature with it, save up poop and poop on hostages they take but they're going to find ways to be immature with everything in the game anyway so I don't see why it shouldn't be added due to that. But I don't want to have to put up with my guy getting diarrhea and having to shit every five minutes or even shitting his pants(though it would be hilarious) Constipation can kill you so for me it makes the game feel really dumb for you to not be able to poop, when you can do complex things no average person would know about like blood transfusions. It definitely shouldn't be added until zombies aren't going to spawn out of nowhere and kill you while the animation carries on though that would be horrid, unless we get a "throw poop at zombie" option then go for it. I'm probably joking about that, probably. So yeah so long as it was tastefully done and was only required every 3-5 hours maybe more, definitely. The crazy change in diet would definitely cause diarrhea.

    You must be part of the being a Killa makes you a badass! crew, how fun. KoS is cowardly and cheap if someone doesn't even know you're there what challenge is there, I prefer to shoot at people that look like a threat then it's up to them whether or not they have a firefight with me or leave. KoS is the "faggy" 12 year old playstyle. Not that KoS isn't suitable under certain circumstances. I don't think I've ever combat logged but I can see why, usually only get in to combat situations when I'm getting bored anyway so I enjoy getting groups of people to chase me through forests and such with guns, it's funny how much ammo they waste and get like nothing in return.

    DayZ PS4 Discussion

    *sigh* Once again a PS4 is more powerful than my PC which runs the game decently well at very high graphics when it's not even optimized, there's no way the PS4 can't handle it it's only a taxing game because it isn't optimized. Considering their financial situation I doubt Sony would back it then drop it so it'll definitely come out for PS4 but maybe they'll drop it on PC, or just rush it.

    What does it matter if Rust has sleeping it's not like they invented sleep in a video game, frankly it'd be weird if the DayZ devs hadn't even considered adding sleep already. If it had sleep it wouldn't suddenly become Rust that's no reason to add it, doesn't rust have guns? In that case DayZ shouldn't have guns or it's too like Rust, right? Sleeping would be of use when they added effects for lack of it like shaking, slow reflexes etc and when stamina is a thing lack of it, resting or logging out for a few hours gives you your stamina back(unless you're starving) It should be what the energized status is I think, food should equal...satisfied? I dunno, something like that.

    What the hell does sleeping have to do with Rust? Fallout has sleeping, I guess Rust is a carbon copy of Fallout? Harvest Moon also has sleeping...they're all the same game! Why should sleeping be omitted but not infection, blood transfusions, blood types, food poisoning, knockout damage, freezing to death and every other madly specific feature? Sleeping is a fairly mundane thing why not have that but something so advanced as blood transfusions?

    Suggestion: Sleeping When Logged Out

    I don't even understand what you're talking about, why wouldn't you see the animation of laying down? Should be laying down then 30 seconds or so before sleep is initiated. Since time will be going faster sooner or later it would equate to a good few minutes, obviously no normal person falls asleep in 30 seconds. You shouldn't be able to log out, be gone and then the animation happens that would be dumb zombies could come out of nowhere and attack you while your robotic avatar casually goes to sleep un-fazed. Have you ever been tired? Like really tired, it makes a huge difference in how well you can do just about anything, complex tasks become impossible, you have no energy, your reaction speeds suffer greatly etc etc Lack of sleep makes a lot of sense as a negative status, slower to take out weapons and ready them, slower melee attacks, slower to start running as fast as possible(though adrenaline could play a part there) AKA no turbo mode.

    I feel your pain. Why can't we just go in a cupboard or something and try warm up a bit at least... Either they need to tone it down a lot or increase spawn rates of everything related to warmth, it should be a lot easier to make a fire. Fire should be easy and raincoats etc should be Jesus tier items and then one of those shitty plastic coats you can put over any clothing pretty much, God tier. Holy shit night time I didn't even think of that how do we even live, I think they do plan to speed it up anyway but night should be at best 3 hours or it'd be ridiculously hard to survive, virtually no point playing at night unless you want the challenge for whatever strange reason. Night needs changed a lot, especially the brightness.

    Better Bleeding Animation/Particles

    Yeah it's just placeholder. But the animation isn't the problem...it's the frequency, how does a zombie slapping you make your arm burst open they're not Wolverine... And like almost every hit sometimes, think the most I've been hit without bleeding, regardless of gear is 5 times before starting to bleed. Currently that it just spurts out like a fountain reduces how annoying it is by being hilarious so I'd hope they fix how often you bleed first :lol:

    It hardly needs that many most of them can be done by holding one button and pressing another. Like instead of num pad 7, 9, 1, 3 for looking around, R1 + analog or maybe even click analog for free head movement. The only thing I'm not sure about is adjusting the range for guns, touchpad I guess. It can work as multiple buttons.

    Poisoning water supplies

    Would this be too much? Should wells always be a source of fresh clean water? I don't think so, given that the rest of the game is so harsh why leave them safe? I think it should be possible to poison them with something, those blue berries, some kind of poisonous herb like nightshade, maybe even part of a zombie. It'd be a great thing to be able to do, being hunted by a group of dudes, head to a town with a well, poison it and hide. They're going to have to leave to find some charcoal pills or they'll be delayed while taking them and getting healthy again. It could save your life in many situations. Or could be used to ruin the lives of other people... However. Were this an added feature I think the poison should only work for an hour or so, just so it's not possible for all water sources to be poisoned constantly because people definitely would go round doing that all the time.
  17. I have not once been captured by anyone, nobody has even attempted it... It's so boring just oh there's a dude BANG why not have some creativity and food poison me what's the goal in just shooting someone dead they respawn in 30 seconds anyway, possibly near you, possibly near you until you have no ammo from killing the same dude 30 times. Why not poison people so they have to struggle for half an hour while they die? Is it so much to ask that people be assholes in an interesting way? KOS is just the dullest playstyle, have some fun with people at least. If you go round killing people all the time and have never taken someone hostage, consider it today! Or am I the only one who actually wants put in that situation? Over just being straight up killed by someone you never even noticed.

    How is it stupid? This is a game that's attempting to as best as it can imitate what it'd be like to survive in a zombie apocalypse(except that everyone wouldn't be killing each other) why should it give benefits but lack of it no negatives? That doesn't make sense. No matter how much you eat or drink running 30 miles will still fuck you up unless you're Captain America or something, sustenance isn't a magic cure. What you describe there is what I meant by resting, resting should be when you're still in game just for a few minutes to keep you fresh if you plan on having a prolonged session. Sleeping is the magically disappearing power we currently have with logging off. Combat logging shouldn't just be left as it is it should be made almost impossible unless you're lucky enough to get the time to finish the animation.

    Because sleep is needed, why shouldn't it be? Why not just eliminate the need to eat and drink too, it's survival of course sleep should be important. Sleep should be required but only after like 10+ hours depending on how much you've been running around and how healthy you are if anyone is playing the game longer than that they need to log off and go outside or get some sleep themselves anyway, it's a system that would work with peoples life styles and stop them from binging themselves in to an early grave. They are going to do that stamina is an upcoming feature as is the weight of gear which will obviously make you get tired faster. When that's a thing resting will be vital, sleeping being the best way to rest.

    I think it would be a great addition but not as the OP said you shouldn't just be there the whole time for anyone to kill, what if you don't play it for months did your guy just hibernate...? Logging off should just be sleeping, complete with animation to eliminate combat logging, unless you have 30 seconds to a minute when people are after you there is no cowardly escape. Don't play the game for 8 hours, next time you play whatever fatigue your guy had is gone and he perhaps feels fresh. It should definitely be needed at some point, if you didn't sleep for days in this world you would go completely insane or just collapse. I think there should be a logging off sleep option and a general sleep/rest option so you can still play the game but have a 5 minute rest and restore some stamina when that's a thing.

    Yeah lethal poisons should be a chore to make and in water supplies as said only work for an hour or so. Along with them could come some advanced medicine making, just so it's not a random thing to murder people with, healings powders and whatnot. Or itching powders so people can't shoot you effectively. Paralysis would be great, it's much more fun to take from people and keep them alive especially if it was someone following you. With that perhaps you could even have a trap set up so some paralyzing chemical drops on someone if they trigger a trip wire. To balance it plants with ingredients like that should be either rare or in dangerous areas like near airfields. It'd also be great for base building, you could set up in a fairly innocent looking house, nobody is gonna go there first they'll hit the well then loot the area. Incognito base defence.

    How would hygiene work for smelling people? I smell someone The smell is gone I smell someone Oh fuck some stinky bastard is nearby Oh it's just a zombie No wait it wasn't! The smell is gone "You are dead" Anyway I'd like the feature to turn off seeing who is on but not to know who's nearby everyone would just use that to hunt players, walk one direction with the player menu up, soon as someone pops up you're heading their way all you need to do is stand on a hill and watch. I would rather the audio worked so I could just hear people walking around at a reasonable distance.

    Testing area?

    Would it be possible for the devs to create a testing area with a shooting range, all featured weapons and animals running around? Like in it's own "world" so it's not added to the Chernaus map. That would be great for testing new weapons, instead of everyone trying to find them and half of them getting killed while looking. Or not having enough ammo to use them for very long. Not sure if PVP could be disabled or if it could just be an offline thing anyone can use at any time, the latter would no doubt be better. I know it would take some time and effort which would then not be focused on the game but I don't mean anything fancy, just a quick barely designed area that functions. Perhaps even just a copy and paste area from Chernaus if that could be done. I think it'd be a great addition, I bet a lot of complaints about how inaccurate guns are actually revolve around issues like lag and connection so if it was an offline area people would see the true dispersion etc guns have.

    Like 99% of the players give that impression anyway, at least with that new players could be like "Well okay, I can expect some PVP for sure" Perhaps add in some spawn commands then so there's not weapons everywhere, spawn AKM, spawn deer, test. But if you're going anywhere where newer weapons are going to spawn, most likely airfields and other military areas...that's just where those people will be. The people in low pop servers are pretty much all always there for loot/an easy ride so it's still very risky. Plus you'd be using up all your ammo, or you might only find a box of the right ammo for the gun, 20 rounds isn't enough to get a good feel for the weapon or see how well it performs. It'd be a great way to divide the attention going on new updates, people in multiplayer can go see what the spawn rates are like, and probably get killed by other people looking. While people in a test area can see how well they shoot, reload etc since in a server if a bullet misses you can't really tell if the gun is just shitty or if one of the players was lagging or if your aim was just off. I'm sure there's probably been a ton of complaints about how inaccurate some guns are when their lagging worse than 90's internet would. It would also give people something to do when servers are broken or updating, spawn AKM and drum mag, turn god mode off, spawn 50 zombies. Maybe friends could even join and you could duke it out and have fun while the game is developed since in it's current state it might not be satisfying to some.
